I began pushing back on his reckless spending/billing at this point. He then "generously" (sarcasm) began to discount the labor bill to reduce the cost. The final cost was $37,580. That's 37% over his estimate, or $10,283. There was no change in the work, no surprises, no scope creep, no deadline. Bob does not do any of the work himself. He's just a project manager. In terms of budgeting, he either has no idea what he's doing (dummy), or he knows exactly what he's doing (bait and switch). Either way, I WOULD NOT USE THIS MAN AGAIN. The whole purpose was to remodel a house for sale. He cost me more than I will recoup from the sale. I've spent $37.5K just to LOSE MONEY.
