Wally & team at Prospect Tire are very welcoming, efficient and fast. Got here at 11.15am and was done at 11.50am. Faster than a dealership to get an alignment. What makes it unique is my car has lowered suspension so not to many places you can go for a proper alignment without messing up my side skirts / body kit. I had a flat tire and despite having tire insurance, my dealership wouldn't cover this specific tire. Everywhere I called quoted astronomical prices. A colleague of mine recommended Prospect Tire. 1 Star -- Total Scam Artists. Avoid This Place at All Costs. I took my car to Prospect Tire in Oakland Park, and it turned into a complete nightmare. These guys are not real mechanics -- they're scam artists pretending to know what they're doing. They charged me twice to bleed my brakes, then tried to tell me my master cylinder was bad and that I needed expensive repairs. I took my car to another shop down the street, and they told me straight up: all I needed was a proper brake bleed. Prospect Tire flat-out lied to try to get more money out of me. After their "work," my parking brake stopped working, my brake light stayed on, and my A/C control unit got messed up after I brought it to them for an A/C fix. I even have an invoice showing I had to pay $700 at another mechanic to fix the damage they caused. To make things worse, the owner changed the price on a rim deal we had already agreed on -- and when I called him out, he told me to get off his property. That's how they treat paying customers. I'm a business owner myself, and I can say with confidence: these guys are unethical, dishonest, and dangerous to your vehicle. If you value your car, your time, or your money, stay far away from Prospect Tire. They'll take your cash, break your car, lie about what's wrong, and then try to act like it's your fault. !!! WARNING !!!! This is a fraudulent business and should be avoided at all cost. My daughter paid this company for 4 new tires and did not realize the tires were in fact used until her mechanic told her that the tires were used and had not been aligned. A week later we went back and confronted the owner about their unscrupulous business practices and the owner chalked it up to an honest mistake by his crew. The owner was very dismissive and finally after confirming with his crew that those were the used tires put on the vehicle by his crew, he agreed to replace the tires. To make bad matters worse, Jabar stated he did not have the tires in stock that my daughter originally paid for but that he would put on Prinx tires stating that they were so much beter than the Goodspeed tires. I asked him for a refund but he refused. Thus, we had to accept the tires that were in stock. Even after all this deception he did not want to give her an alignment that she paid for. He said an alignment had already been done when the used tires had been mounted. I had to argue with him for 10 minutes before he agreed to do the alignment. This business should be closed down. I will be reporting this business to the better business bureau -- Trust! These men here are scammers that prey on women who are inexperienced. If I could give a 0 for this rating I would. Fast service by the guys working the yard. A bit pricey thou, $20 for just a simple tire patch! But I can't complain it's a Sunday at 4pm. Update: the next day my tire went right back down, bad patch job. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!! I sent my boyfriend here for a new truck tire, after just four tanks of diesel his new tire he got here is completely shot. He went to get the tire swapped out and instead of just apologizing or simply swapping the tire the guy working there wanted to be a tough guy and threatened him! "What are you gonna do about it" with an aggressive stance. Repeatedly .. instead of the company coming up with a solution with a tire that should last years they took no ownership and their solution was threatening and fear based. WOW! I got a flat tire on 95 this morning and my bosses suggested coming here to see Moe after they both got new tires here last week. I drove in with my donut and pulled right into a spot as a customer was pulling out. Within about 10 minutes I had a new tire on my car. I was told the price before they changed the tire and was blown away with how reasonable their prices are compared to the larger tire companies that everyone knows about. Driving away, I felt like my car was driving so much better than when I had my old tire on there. I would definitely recommend this place. They have used AND new tires! read more

I've been going here for several years, many many times and will NEVER be back again. I have been working most of the week so I had to have my partner go a few times for me as well. Here is the timeline: June 11, 2022, 11:30 am: I had a leak in my tire, they pulled out a nail and said it was "fine" and that it didn't penetrate through. My partner texted me and I told him to go back because my tire was completely flat. June 11, 2022 11:50 am: They found TWO leaks and suggested switching to a used tire. June 12, 2022: Noticed the new USED tire is leaking, brought back at 12:30/1:00 p.m. They did something and said they "fixed" the new used tire. June 18, 2022: Noticed the new USED tired is leaking AGAIN and can audibly hear the leak. Partner Brought back car and they said it was fine and brushed him off. Also noticed sometime between June 11-18 the hub cap cover was missing and brushed him off about that as well. June 26, 2022: Noticed the tire is completely flat again so I brought back tire to find out the new used tire was a tire that was PLUGGED and was leaking from plug. In addition, the plug is close to the tire wall. I explained hub cap issue to a manager and they said to speak to Moe tomorrow so he can order a replacement. June 27, 2022: I arrived and they patched the tire AGAIN and then said the hub cap issue was basically not their fault. That someone could have stole it, etc. The only people touching my tire was the staff as Prospect Tires. I become frustrated and Moe then doesn't want to help me because "I have an attitude". Bullshit, if I was a man he wouldn't have spoken to me that way and would have resolved my issue but since I am a woman he just wants to move me along and not deal with me. They are FAST but they are NOT GOOD. Remember, you can only pick two: Fast, Good, or Cheap. They are FAST and CHEAP, but not GOOD. However, In the end, not FAST or CHEAP either because I've wasted several hours of my time and will end up having to get a new tire to replace this shit tire they sold me AND I have to pay out of my pocket for a part they LOST. Again, this has been my "go to" place and I support small local businesses but I will never recommend this place again except to let you know to STEER CLEAR. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would . On Monday 9/11/2023 I purchased 3 used tires from here. Today (9/14/2023) at 8am I noticed 2/3 of the tires I got from them had a bubble in it . I called them and they told me to bring the car by so they can take a look . At 2pm today When I got there the owner was unhappy about replacing 2/3 tires but proceeded to change the 2 tires after the tires were changed the employee threw my tire lock on top of my car and put the car back down without saying a word . It gets worse . At 8pm I'm leaving work and I here a noise coming from the right passenger tire 1/2 that was just replaced today went flat due to a slash on the inside of the tire and I had to put on a spare . I don't recommend purchasing a tire new or used from here ! read more

The owner of this shop and his employees were great. I had a shake in my steering wheel and wanted them to balance the tires as well, when I was getting new tires. The owner said he could it but it would be a waist of money. He rotated the tires for free. He also gave me some yummy falafel as well. They were efficient and I was in and out fast, even though they looked very busy. Everyone else that was there, was talking about how great this tire shop is. I also got my alignment there. My truck drives a lot better now, without the steering wheel shaking at certain speeds. The owner gave me a great price on new tires even though I wanted used ones originally. I purchased three used tires from this company I gave them a GREAT review on Google of how satisfied I was that the used tires lasted even six months let alone that they lasted just shy of two years!!! So here's where I give them only 2 stars. I simply went in last week and asked the gentleman with the dreadlocks that my tire pressure light is on (I as the consumer have NO idea what that entails...is it too cold where the pressure goes down, is it a leak, is it a flat, etc..)? so he fills ALL of the tires with air and I say that the Pressure light is still on...he said just drive and it will go off (which it did). Now a week later and the tire pressure light is on again, but this time I noticed that my tire is almost flat. So I go back up to Prospect tires and tell the owner (I believe he's the owner/manager) that my tire pressure light is back on again after only a week he immediately blamed me (as he's requesting to take pictures of my two receipts...don't know what that tactic was about) that since I drive for Lyft that I caused the tire to be slit on the side treads due to me driving so much with a nail in it...I immediately responded that "I told You before that I don't drive for Lyft anymore-I haven't taken the stickers off the windows, but I'm a Flight Attendant so I drive very little actually, for I'm gone four days at a time before I come back to Fort Lauderdale"..then I proceeded to tell him what does it matter?, why would your employee just fill my tire up with air knowing that there is something more wrong with the tire and his reply was "we only do what the customer wants, we don't recommend any other services, because we don't want to make the customers feel like we are up selling when they might not have the money and they just need air in their tire(s) to get them through for the time being"....I was like HUH. So you don't recommend to someone that doesn't know the dangers of driving with a potential tire hazard because they might not have the money??? at least they will have the knowledge. He just shrugged his shoulders and said that he would give me a discount. ($30 off). So I went from great service and tires for just two months shy of two years, but then on my second visit to get new tires that one tire lasted "two months" and not so friendly service....the way that he blamed ME for driving on a bad tire that I didn't even know that it was bad (I just purchased it!!!) Also they need to be on the same page as to what guidelines are there...one gentlemen literally jacked the my car up with me in it and then all of a sudden the dreadlock guy (don't know any of their names) tells me that I can't be in the car when the car is jacked up (not sure if he was mad that I complained about his service on not educating the customer-ME, and why didn't the guy who jacked the car up simply tell me that I can't sit in my car that it's dangerous)? It's a shame because I was referred to them back in September 2019 from Stepp's Automotive as I have gotten work done from them bhere in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. (I try to support small/local businesses), but I will NOT be going back to Prospect Tires from here on out I will by new tires from a major corporation. read more

This is a no frills tire place. I needed tires for my truck and knew the exact tires that I wanted, so I just pulled up after work and talked to Moe. He made a phone call and told me that my tires will be there the next day at a very good price, the same price as tirerack.com (Installed!) Showed up the next day and my tires were there. Takes about 30mins to install. There is no fancy waiting room or some person behind the counter endlessly typing on a keyboard attempting to pitch you on a tire you didn't want. Honost Opinion..... Went again today after about a year. I give them a ten out of ten. The owner is the nicest guy and took care of me. I have a BMW X5 and did. It want to spend thousands on new front tires. I have lived two blocks away from Prospect Tire for the past three years. This morning I walk out to my car at 7 AM on my way to work and see that I have a flat. Call them up to see if they can fix it and they said yes. I was in and out literally in seven minutes (I timed it). The fee was $10 cheaper than what i was originally quoted as well :) all of the workers were polite and professional the minute I drove into the lot. I can't say enough good things about Prospect Tire. I will definitely do business with them again the next time I have tire problems! read more

Once again, Yelp to the rescue. I really should at least look at my tires once in awhile. Especially when the indicator light on my dash tells me one is low. Instead, I just filled them up again. And it lasted for several months. Then I had to fill them again and this time, it only lasted a few weeks. I saw all the excellent reviews on this place, that is practically within walking distance of my house, so I went in. Now, the first impression is a bit rough. They don't have a desk where someone sits to greet you. Everyone was standing around outside and it's hard to tell the workers from the customers. But once you identify the right person, they will take excellent care of you. Oscar had me drive up a little so he could examine the tire. Then he told me to stop, he squatted down and began the work of removing the nail (who knew there was a nail?). Once that was done, he plugged the hole, filled the tire, topped off the other tires, and sent me on my way. The total cost for this (nearly) 15 minutes of work was a mere $8.48 (tax included). I was back on my way in no time at all, the tire is good as new and I'm a happy customer. Thank you, Oscar! And thank you, Yelp! But I do have to give one star to the nail. I'm not a big fan of that one. read more
