The entire project was to take 4 weeks and they were here for almost 5 months and just wanted to wrap things up. They also installed the tile in our back entry butting up to the wood floors, we told them how the door was going to be installed and the tile/wood was still installed incorrectly with the seam of the two showing when you close the door. The final straw was we needed to have 3 - 12x24 tiles replaced in our shower from an issue with our plumber, the quote from Melissa was $1200. When asked about the price we received the response, "Based on our experience in working insurance claim projects, what we have bid is easily within the bounds of what would be covered, so the plumber should have no problems with the claim." The $1200 was just for the removal/replacement of the 3 tiles and didn't include the tile that was needed. At that point we called it quits. Not quite a year ago, we pulled out carpet and replaced flooring in four rooms. We had Floors For Less put down tile in one large room and hardwood floors in the other three fairly big ones. I can't tell you how pleased we are with the outcome. The first time I went into the Middleton flooring store, I was impressed with Dave's knowledge and no high-pressure sale's techniques, but especially with his relaxed demeanor. He allowed me to take as many samples home as I wanted. Other stores I'd been to demanded my right arm before releasing a sample with promises to have it returned yesterday! Several places acted as if I was taking the Hope diamond home. Dave was always patient with me, no matter how much I texted or called. He always got right back to me. Incredible, incredible service. They have so much product, a lot of diversity in material, so we easily found what we liked and wanted. The only snafu in the project was the installers. They didn't always show up at the time they stated, but they have such a large crew that they got the project done in half the time we thought it would take them. Like I said, this wasn't our first rodeo, so the job ended up being completed long before we expected. We work from home, so we got to see how they operated. That crew was such a neat bunch of people. So polite, fussy and meticulous with their work, cleaned up after themselves, hardworking and professional. We'd used those installers again in a heartbeat. Despite repeated requests to call me to discuss, they've communicated only by email, and only after I reached out to ask why my order wasn't done within the terms of the contract. I was told there wasn't a date on my contract but they'd be willing to start work and have it ready for delivery and install in another three weeks. When I declined and requested a refund as they did not fulfill the terms of the agreement, they first refused and then tried to charge an additional "processing fee" to refund my deposit.

At the initial install everything was great and we loved the final product. Not even two years…read morelater, the Blanco sink chipped at the bottom. When I went in, an older unpleasant gentleman that I spoke with said "what are you using a chainsaw". They said I would have to contact Blanco, which I did. Blanco said we should have been advised to use a metal grate to protect the finish on the sink. We were never told this. Blanco was very easy to deal with and they made it right by replacing the sink for free. However, Granite Shop was quite the opposite. They would not come to do this unless they had a job in the area, which took months. They also charged us for a reinstall in addition to us needing to get a plumber, again. They then damaged our newly refinished wood floors and accused us of lying about it, even though it was on our security cameras that nothing was placed on the floor when they were here. In fact, they removed our throw rug at the sink! I highly recommend them if you like a company that doesn't stand by the product they sell and accuse their customers of lying even with proof.

Avoid them at all costs…read more Countertops are an allowance item in my home build & I am responsible for selecting the vendor, making selections & paying for overages. Thus keeping track of the cost is important. Additionally, I AM ACTUALLY PAYNG the countertop vendor directly to offset overages with other allowances. Initially, GSoM seemed friendly, but as soon as I had questions about pricing - poof! Their helpfulness vanished faster than a magician's rabbit. It took me 4 emails of unanswered questions before they said they wouldn't share pricing with me. What this meant was a simple question about the price range for a leathered top required 4 emails with GSoM and then they emailed a full 3-page bid to my builder with separate line items for each question buried deep in the bid. It was so confusing. It was also a hassle. The builder's PM was OOO and it took me 5 days to get an email forwarded after my last question. It is absolutely ludicrous that the person writing the check (or using my CC) to pay for the countertops ENTIRELY with my own funds doesn't get the pricing shared with me directly. Imagine buying anything else and the seller doesn't tell you what it costs. Absolutely ludicrous. They are completely unaware of their cognitive dissonance, wrapped up in a little bubble where the customer is viewed as a "walking wallet" and if you don't play their games, you will get their power trips. GSoM tried to gaslight me by saying I was "dramatic" and "aggressive". Getting frustrated with their refusal to answer questions and expressing that constructively isn't dramatic. And wanting to know the price of something I'm paying for is not aggressive. When I expressed frustration, GSoM said "they'd love to work with me" but also tried to play divide and conquer with my builder by asking them if it was OK to refuse to share pricing, while simultaneously trying to preserve their relationship. Spoiler alert: It didn't work. I informed my builder that GSoM missed a golden opportunity to impress but chose the path of antagonization. I remind the builder of how great the other vendor is every day. I get that some buillders don't want customers to see pricing. You know what GSoM should do in those situations? Not share pricing. You know what they should do when it's an allowance and the customer has visbility to pricing? Share the pricing. You're a small business, not Home Depot, act like it and be flexible to each customer's needs. This is not about you. Speaking of them being a small business: their selection sucks, especialy when it comes to modern quartz selection. They have less than half the number of quartz compared to every other vendor I met with. I was able to get a great price on a beautiful MSI Calacatta Elysio in all of my bathrooms and an amazing Cambria on my island for less than GSoM was charging for very basic quartz. The upside to their hostility was that I got a much better deal at another vendor. I've built four homes and worked with so many wonderful local vendors. GSoM is, without a doubt, the worst. THE. WORST. This was a pure antagonistic power play. GSoM is the only 1 out of 9 allowance vendors on this project that wouldn't share pricing. They could have chosen to delight my builder's customer, but they chose to antagonize me. They'll do it to you. It's not worth the risk. GSoM also lies. He says they politely told me that they didn't want to work with me. Wrong. As I mentioned, when I got frustrated they sent me & my builder an email saying that they'd love to work with me. My builder asked me to try and work with GSoM, but they still didn't want to tell the person paying what the cost was. I truly don't understand their power trip, nor their lies. The only way to change GSoM's treatment is for consequences to happen, so that's why I'm posting this review. Walk, don't run, to a vendor that's not going to play power trip games with customers.

Went in. No one else was there, expected. The sole attendant launched into a vague, dispassionate toned "I Don't Really Wanna Be Here" overview of the products and their various virtues and then disengaged entirely. I definitely appreciate the hands off approach. What I don't appreciate versus what I've seen elsewhere between box stores and local joints: NO. POSTED. PRICES. Like for the material itself, let alone anything else. I'm posting this after having been through a local store where all that was posted, sales were shared, rebates announced. Maybe they're fine but they need to be more professional, post prices, and most importantly: SHOW they care.

Fast forward 3 years and each piece of Tarkett flooring is buckled up/curling up from the sides and the floor looks like an ocean. 6 months have past since I first called this problem in. 3 people have already looked at the floor and took pictures. Each of the 3 have confirmed the floor is bad and said it will be replaced under the lifetime warranty but now they say a 4th person needs to look at it. I've been waiting over 2 months for this 4th person, calling the people that have already been here but they just blow me off.

Steve and Woody provided us with friendly professional and well educated service from design to installation of two full bathrooms with tile walls and small format hexagon mosaic floors, including a curbless shower. They provided us the technical details we needed to make sure that everything was framed in correctly, and Steve came out to the site to inspect everything before scheduling the installer to do the work to make sure there would be no surprises. (And it was a good thing he did too, because we has to square up some walls and add some additional framing studs for the shower.) Woody was extremely helpful and patient in guiding our selection of tiles and grout, and they were willing to work with us on including tiles from a local tile manufacturer rather than their regular supply chain. Woody's professional training and sense for the customer's particular esthetic are outstanding! After we discovered that a few of the small mosaic tiles had cracked in them from a manufacturing defect, that got the installer out to replace them quickly and with no grief. Although I had Moloney Tile install the technically difficult bathroom tiles, I am doing several more artsy tile projects in the house on my own, and they had been willing and able to provide me with advice and specialty materials on those as well.

Ever since we've added a four season porch, addition, a sauna and bathroom, several tile platforms next to outside access doors. We are now creating a master bedroom with attached bathroom. Every time we have a tiling project we buy through Molony. We plan to contract with them this time to complete the project rather tgan do it ourselves as we are older. I'm convinced they will do a professional job.
