A good agent works hard for their money. MATT WILL GIVE CASH AT CLOSE IF YOU STRIKE A DEAL WITH HIM, SO DEFINITELY ASK. A 1% discount on a typical $750K OC house is $7500 in your pocket. The seller pays commissions, so you'd either be getting 1% of your sale price back (if seller) or 1% of the seller's sales price in your pocket toward closing, etc (if buyer). Anyway, we recommend. Do yourself a favor and get a good independent agent who can give you cash back at close. Big real estate brokerages can't (or won't) do that. Their loss, your gain.
