Spent about half the time rambling about people we knew and things going on in Salinas. The bill was ridiculous. All Francis told me was that he bills $330/hr for accounting. My question was, "Did you do some paperwork that I'm unaware of?" He will not get my future business nor the business of my family and friends. What a rip off. Follow up: After seeing my yelp review they decided to write off my bill for the short meeting. The meeting to see if I wanted to use this tax firm. I got a call advising me of this and the caller seemed upset. I was lectured that they bill for time and the caller told me that he did not want my business. Yes, they bill for time doing accounting and I completely understand that. For example, if you buy an ice cream...you pay for the product, the ice cream. You are not billed for waiting in line...that would be excessive and unreasonable. The fact that the caller did not realize this doesn't make it any better.

Did my tax preparing via a couple of emails and uploading of my tax docs to a portal online. Easy and straightforward, and I really like the idea of using a local resource via a nameless HR Block or TurboTax helper who may well be located in another state. Recommend these folks and will use again.
