As a medical resident, I've had my fair share of standardized tests, and this place is by far the best testing experience I've ever had. I took the USMLE Step 3 here, which is a two day exam that totals roughly 16 hours. Therefore, I had more than enough time to get a good sense of what it's like to take an exam at this place.
First, the center is located in a building that is easy to find and has plentiful free parking. There are no other buildings in the complex, so there's neither any competition for parking spots nor any noise from the outside. As others mentioned, this is a quiet place.
Second, the building itself is relatively new, so you don't have to worry about climate control/temperature issues or random noise from the building itself. The test center office space and bathrooms are all very clean. As another reviewer mentioned, the test center is small, but that's a plus since at most, this location can accommodate 20 test takers or so. That means there's no risk of a large crowd trying to take bathroom breaks at the same time and slowing you down during the check-out or check-in process. Every test-taker gets a decent-sized locker, and there's a coat rack plus a water cooler for free water in addition to the water fountains near the bathroom.
Fourth, this location has by far the most courteous and friendly staff I've ever encountered during any of my standardized exams. Everyone is very nice, which is important since if you're taking a test here, you're probably at least a little stressed. Instructions were clear and rules were strictly enforced but in the nicest manner possible. Atif the site manager in particular was very kind and would proactively ask people on breaks if they had any issues or questions that needed to be addressed.
In summary, the only stress you have if you take a test at this location comes from the test itself. Finding the place, parking, interacting with staff, and using the facilities are all easy and worry-free experiences. Probably the biggest and most sincere endorsement of this place comes from the fact that several of my fellow test takers told me they took the time to commute to this place from NYC itself. read more
