I saw this place on Yelp and was surprised because I've been to McGinnis golf course many times and…read morenever knew this place existed. Driving out there seems a little weird because you feel as if you are going in the wrong place but if you stay left past the sanitation building there is a little parking lot with space for about 5 cars and the walk starts there. The sanitation plant ponds are a haven for birds and birdwatchers. I wish I knew the names of more birds, but I saw many different kinds as well as an unbelievably ginormous Swan and tons of ducks quacking around. There are lovely views in every direction: Mount Tam, Saint Vincent's church steeple, and Marin's endless hills. Many parts of the trail are aligned with Himalayan blackberry bushes which bloom in the late summer. The trail is very level so good for running but it can get a bit dusty, so you'd be kicking that up. To walk around the pools is around 2 miles but if you wanted to go longer the trail veers out north and you can walk to the Hamilton Trail which is about 1.5 mile one way. This part of the trail is nice for something longer but it can get more monotonous in scenery so not as good for a solo walk and there is absolutely no shade so I wouldn't recommend for the summertime.

This review is for the reclamation pond/project, not the sanitary district itself. What a hidden…read moregem! The miles of even-ground hiking trails have incredible views of Mt. Tam and San Pablo Bay. There are sitting and picnic benches if you want to stop and rest or observe the abundance of wildlife, and bikes and dogs are allowed. This is one of my favorite places to walk in Marin because dogs are allowed, and I love stopping to watch the migratory birds. If ornithology is your jam, I recommend bringing binoculars and a camera. Parking can be challenging on weekends, and the smell (especially near the entrance) can be super potent when it's warm or hot outside, but the wildlife viewing makes it worth it for me.

The service that they provide is to give a consultation after they walk around the property outside. They do not go into the house. They do not do repair work. Joe, the consultant, arrived promptly today. He was thorough and pointed out all the problem areas. He gave us specific advice about what needed to be done. He patiently answered all of our questions. Before you start a a rodent control project, I highly recommend starting with CCC Vector Control in order to learn what needs to be done before you contact a pest control service.

"Fish Gets Landmark and New Name"…read more If only I were a fish! Yes, it's true--the rainbow trout has a landmark all to itself. The landmark is just inside the main entrance of Redwood Regional Park in Oakland. After you go past the entry kiosk, it's at the first parking area on your left. The monument is weathered. If you're not careful, you might miss it. Besides the landmark, the structure called the "Fishway" is more interesting. Park engineers built baffles 40 years ago to slow the current and thus help the spawning of the trout. It's a lot more interesting than the monument sign. The day I visited, there was no water in the river, and hardly any trout. But I could still imagine them leaping over the baffles in the fishway. There's not much more to see here besides the fishway. Probably not worth paying for parking. But if it's free, it's a good deal.

Story time! Tonight…read moreafter midnight I decided to give poison control a ring when I suddenly realized I made a mistake with a prescription and couldn't gauge how major of a mistake it was (big surprise, Dr. Google failed to quell my fears). After I started a prescription at urgent care I got a take home RX that I was supposed to start the following day, but, accidentally took another dose later on in evening. Thank you SF Poison Control! You listened to my dumb story of how I accidentally had double the amount of a prescription in one day without judging me or making me feel stupid. The person I spoke to not only assured me that I'll be alright, but, also gave me interesting context on how the medication I took works, what to expect, and how to get back on track with my treatment. Hopefully most people will never have to use this service, but, everyone should definitely be aware it exists and know that a friendly and knowledgeable person can help answer your questions for free 24/7. Save yourself some time and anxiety, and don't hesitate to call poison control, no matter how big or small you feel your issue might be.

Anyway, Mr Bone Head ( also known as my husband) picked up the bottle and drank it. We both immediately became concerned because he began to vomit. I called an advice nurse and she said to call poison control. I called it was poison control as the recording picked up connecting us with an agent..but it rang and rang no answer.Again I called no answer. I was very concerned because pure essential oils are extremely toxic when ingested. The poison control person finally answered and basically just said it was not really poison to adults mostly babies..my husband was concerned about Hallucinations as we heard that could happen, anyway after the nurse said what she had to say basically hung up! She asked us if we had any more questions we said Yes and she hung up! The reason I am upset with this extremely unprofessional poison control person is because what if I had an infant imy arms or any other mother called for help for her infant or toddler, minutes can count under those circumstances and she seemed like she was bothered to talk to us because we were adults and should know better! I don't even think the initial recording said if in an emergency dial 911. People get confused under emergency situations. I'm just happy my husband wasn't an infant.
