I arrived early for appointment and was taken in a little early which was nice. Very hard to find a gyno that doesn't have a long wait. The nurse and Dr. Sheridan were very nice. She was very personable and asked for a detailed medical history and allowed me to share any concerns and questions I had. She even pointed out how my current medication could possibly me contributing to another medical issue I am experiencing, which my old doctor never made me aware of. Desk staff is knowledgable and practice scope is smaller, so chances are when you call, the person you speak with will have context, which is nice. I saw Susan a few times and she was brilliant- very knowledgable and in tune with women's issues. At the suggestion of the front desk staff, I saw Dr. Livoti after my regular birth control consult with Susan, and he pinpointed a problem I'd been suffering with for years. In ten minutes, he managed to accurately find and begin to treat my PCOS (and area in which he specializes) and it was really, really great to get some information as I did not realize it was easily manageable. Waits are short and the office is not hectic. Definitely glad I found Dr. Livoti, and would strongly recommend him as a great gyno in the area.

She came out exceptionally pleased with the examination from Dr. Domingo, and the nurse Dany. She was fully tested. She said Dr. Domingo was exceptionally patient and calming during the examination. Only reason I had came to the facility was because my doctors office didn't have an available appointment and I was going away etc. I had gone to have my IUD inserted, cramped and had bleeding which is a normal side effect. This was not my first rodeo, but my cramping did not subside, it had just progressed and worsened. When I had my first IUD inserted his GSB OBGYN they had my return for an ultrasound to check if everything was okay, so I requested that PPH give me a script for a IUD check. They had expressed to me if I wanted an IUD check I can have them manually check it (feeling). I can feel the strings myself. I would've felt MUCH MORE comfortable having a ultrasound done. Fast forward I believe either 2-3 days later, the pain was EXCRUCIATING enough for me to be seen by a doctor that I work with, he gave me a CT scan to rule out appendicitis. I KNOW MY BODY, there was something 100% wrong, I went for a CT scan and my IUD was misplaced. When I came home from my CT scan, West Islip location had closed, I had one more option to call Riverhead they closed within the hour and I was panicking, I was in pain and they were NO HELP. She said she can "accommodate" me for the following morning. Mind you I live almost 30/40 minutes away depending on traffic. I told her I would run there now - but instead I was told to go to ER if my symptoms progressed. Thanks Riverhead. So they ended up scheduling me in the Patchouge location the next morning at 10:30, I had to request to be late to work due to it, half-way there, they called me saying the doctor will be canceling her appointments due to have an emergency. I get it. They had nothing sooner in West Islip and they had me wait till the end of that day in pain to be seen in West Islip. I had returned to the same location, same physician due them "accommodating me" and the girls were saying how "my body rejected" the IUD. My body did not reject the IUD, it was misplaced. Big difference. I now have my IUD, which was placed by MY DOCTOR and everything is a-okay. BOTTOM LINE: Use YOUR OWN OBGYN if you can, I do not recommend going to clinics to be seen and told "you're fine" when you're not fine.

I would not recommend Maria Lockhart to anybody. I've been a patient of hers for 2-3 years. Let's…read morestart with the basics. She overbooks appointments and frankly, moves too slow appointments. As a black professional woman working in a similar industry as her, I thought it was nice to have a black woman gynecologist. I quickly learned - credentials and professionalism shall come first. To be clear, she is irresponsible, lacks time management capacity and leadership qualities to be a practitioner. The situation that spurred me to cut ties with her and her establishment was - I had an urgent appointment set for 12:00 pm. I arrived at 11:45 am to fill out any necessary papers - which turned out, I only had to update my address. I didn't see Lockhart until 2:00 pm! Yes, you read that correctly. What ticked me off most is that I had a business meeting in Manhattan scheduled for 3:30 pm. I made her receptionists aware of this as I entered the 1 hour wait time. When I waited for her to come to the room, I could hear her giggling with co-workers. She exhibits no sense of urgency, tenacity or real passion for her job. She's too lax and disconnected from such a vital profession that deals with womb health. When I told her my dismay for being seen so late all she could say is - "I apologize" in her unenthusiastic voice. Her and her receptionist then tried to run me through the ringer to get an unnecessary sonogram. Purposely misdiagnosing me so that I can come in for an appointment that AGAIN was not necessary. As patients, we are allowed to advocate for ourselves and remember we do indeed understand our bodies deeply. I knew exactly what needed assistance in my case. When I told the receptionist 2 weeks before the initial appointment, I emphasized I needed medication sooner rather than later. They provide poor customer service at this establishment. I was able to be serviced and provided with medication at another gynecologist within 3 days of seeking this person out. Please save your time, money and energy.
