This trash service is horrible. Their policies are unbelievable. For example they expect you to sign a 3 year contract for trash service! Who does that? They also charge $25.00 to bring you a can when you start service. Then, to add insult to injury, they added $20.00 on top of my bill for fuel surcharges. Finally, they raised my rate from $28.00 a month to $45.00 a month. That's for only one container picked up only once per week. Highway robbery. I've dumped them in the trash and I'm now with Parker County Waste Management and it's only $25.00 a month with no delivery fees or fuel surcharges. Goodbye Progressive... You'll never get another dollar from me! read more

This is by far the worst garbage service I have ever received. Garbage sits by the road from the day before it's supposed to be picked up until they decide when they want to pick it up. Sometimes they don't even pick it up until the following week. It's impossible to get in touch with someone to talk about this ongoing issue that happens more than it should. I would never recommend this service to anyone. read more

They suck. bad Customer Service. All they do is apologize but don't fix the situation .They pick up my trash my recycle but they always leave my yard waste bin there it's been sitting there for two weeks they keep saying they're going to come the next day and they never come no one calls me I ask for a supervisor always saying hes busy or they will get back to me but it never happens. I don't understand I have in the bin nice and neat I just need an explanation which I haven't I'm tired of it . No one should go through this. read more

So, I live in the Lacombe , La area and I got a letter in the mail stating that services will be reduced to once a week rather than twice a week. I just paid my bill a few days ago for the next 3 months. $105 for 3 months of service assuming that trash pick up was going to be twice a week as it has been for the last 5 years that I've had Progressive / IESI. Today, after getting the letter and talking to Customer service about this, I was advised that there is nothing that I can do, and that since I've already paid for service, I can't cancel the contract until the end of June. Apparently by paying my bill, I unknowingly agreed to allowing Progressive / IESI to change their obligations at their own will. Two weeks into the billing cycle (and two and a half months of service remaining that I already paid for) I get notice that I am only getting half of what I paid for. I will be posting this on all social media and I encourage others in my situation to do the same. read more

This company does not actually pick up our trash. I have lived in the area for 3 months now and have yet to experience a single week when both our trash and recycling are picked up. I have called MANY times. They usually promise they will come get it within 24 hours, however they DO NOT come. The trash can is still full and outside on my driveway right now, and last week I was told not once, but twice it would be picked up within 24 hours. Very poor service. read more

Absolutely the worst, you have one job. They are clearly cutting corners. Now they are saying they will pickup only once a week when they've basically been doing that already but charging the same. Done with this company. read more

First let me say the crew that has serviced my property beginning Sept 2009 have been WONDERFUL!! They entertain my children and make sure to show love to the kids when the kids love them and the big trucks and the horns. Wonderful group of guys!! The issue I have is more with the process and procedures division of the organization. When we first signed up in 2009 we were told a can would be delivered. After 2 days and moving in trash accumulated I contacted the organization only to be told "For faster service you can come to us and pick up the can???" HUH?? Okay Ummm no thanks I will contact WM and sign up with them. "Hold on sir let me contact my manager"----MAGICALLY the can arrived in 30 minutes. Awesome.....! Fast forward to 7JAN2016 I put the can out wed night I saw the can at 0530 on Thursday morning and then BAM the can was gone at 3pm Thursday afternoon. I called and was informed that "maybe" the can was broken/cracked - not to my knowledge) Okay....we will check for you. A minimum of 4 phone calls to the company to be told well they didn't pick it up- maybe someone took it? HUH? Weird but okay. I live in a cul de sac and I know the all the people but maybe someone from another part of my neighborhood drove over to my house to steal the progressive trash can and not the Lowes, brand new, 96 gallon trash can I just bought?? Again WEIRD. Okay well what now. The work order is in and has been printed it should be delivered today. ...........................nope..............not the next day................nope.........................still no can..................................really? Okay so now what....I called again today because I still do not have the can and trash ran yesterday. I was told (everytime I called) I could come to Lacombe to pick up a can, it would be quicker??? WHAT I LIVE IN SLIDELL......I have a KIA.....And Two Jobs.....ummm can you bring me my can back please....... Well I opted to cancel service at this point and offered some tips of Lean Six Sigma or Work Order/ticketing software they could incorporate to assist in Customer Satisfaction as it seems the issues I have are within the company and the processes being used. More of a rant that any insight. Bottom line is the men that worked in the truck are wonderful and I wish I could deal with them. Super group of guys!!!!!! The policies within the company need help and could really benefit from external input regarding the processes currently being used. That is all...Rant Over..... OUT!!!! UPDATE: 1/22 I received a call from my wife around 330 saying a trash can had been delivered at the house. Like I said before the crew has been wonderful the operating procedures need to be addressed. I forgot to mention earlier that the ladies at the office were always pleasant and assisted me with updates as well. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever received. Even after notifying them IN WRITING 30 days prior to the bill coming due the didn't cancel my service and 60 days later send me a bill putting me "into collection" for $42. They said they never got it though it was on THEIR BILL and they always got my payments in the past so that is pure BS. It's just the principal at this point and not the money though they never earned it. Several times trash pick up did not happen on the specified dates of collection and I had to call to complain. Nearly every time it WAS picked up, I found my garbage can in the ditch, down the street, in the middle of the street or middle of my drive way where I couldn't pull in, disrupting traffic on a busy street. Collection went from 2 times per week to 1 yet the price remained the same for even WORSE service. 4. Lastly, my garbage can was also destroyed by their drivers because it was thrown in the street and run over and cost MORE that the $42.00 bill they sent me. So that being said, they owe ME money. read more

Terrible. Wait until you want to talk to customer service for an issue and see what happens. NOTHING! I would run! not walk to another company. read more

On going issues with this company, telephone box, to vehicle damage. to missed pick ups This trash service is the cheapest and their service and attitude most certainly reflects this. read more

I would NOT recommend this company at all! They tell you when your pick up day is and they never show up until to 1 or 2 days later (if you are lucky). When you call, they are very short with you on the phone. They don't seen to care that you want to cancel your service with them. read more

The worst trash service ever!!! They NEVER pick up on the day scheduled and if you do not call it remains until you do call. All my other neighbors on my block have changed services or in the process of doing so. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! read more

Terrible. Missed picking up their simple once a week service which is bad enough. But then lied to me three times that a make-up service would occur. You can change your name to Waste Connections but your competency will likely stay poor. read more

I have had service with Progressive for a year and a half. Over the last 2 months, the driver has failed to pick up my trash about every other week. The first time I contacted the office, I was reprimanded for not calling within 24 hours. Really?? Most recently, the driver did not pick up my trash on tuesday, which was Mardi Gras. I called first thing Wednesday morning to verify that there was service on this holiday. I was told YES and that my trash would be picked up that day. Here I sit, on Friday, looking at my trash which has yet to be picked up. I asked for a supervisor to call me. No call! I have cancelled my service with Progressive and advise all others to not chose this provider for trash collection. read more

I concur with the others here. We weren't picked up the week of Thanksgiving or New Years. We had great service before they bought out Tchefuncte Disposal. Trash on the street is subject to animals and also a green light for vandals if your empty can stays on the street. Since they are inconsistent even on their good days...we can't get the can in, in a timely manner. Sometimes they come in the morning...sometimes afternoon...sometimes not at all. We'll be changing when the bill comes due again. Glad they aren't our only choice. read more

I work for a private non-profit who is serviced by Progressive and we have a contract for them to pick up our dumpster twice a week. Since I started working here, Oct. 1, 2015, we have not had consistent service. I have a log of calls to them regarding non pickup on a weekly basis, who I talked to and what time and what the conversation consisted of. Finally, Finally I called the Slidell, LA district office and THOUGHT I had gotten somewhere. Veronica, an account manager, assured me that it would not happen again, this conversation occurred on a Wednesday and that following Monday no service. I called today and she basically called me a liar telling me that their notes said someone came out.... Tell that to a half full dumpster with a group here and garbage piling up. We are changing our service to Waste Management. Very poor service and very poor office support! --- read more

They had one job... Service reduced to one day per week. Still can't manage garbage pickup on that one day. Called to let them know they missed the pickup, said they would open a ticket. A week later still no pickup AND it's pickup day again! Looking for another company. Sorry i ever signed up with progressive. read more
