I posted my positive review on my Facebook page. Awesome service. I got rear ended. My car got totaled. Sad. But Progressive took it seriously. They gave me rental ASAP. They sent me medical compensation right away for every person was present inside of my car during the accident. As soon as the car got to the collision center, they took care of appraisal and I got my check. 5 days turn around. Pretty good! And Nobody got hurt by the way. Thank you Progressive. read more

Family was involved in a car accident with a Driver who was uninsured and totaled our car . From the initial contact to the final contact before suing our own insurance company thats right we had to sue PROGRESSIVE the customer service was below not just insurance standards but any and all standards . The person who misHANDLED our claim was and is evil and corrupt and her actions endangered our family . We were told to use our car for three days before Progressive allowed us to have a car rental which was for 6 days and not a moment more . Note ; our car was totaled ie UNSAFE but safe enough for Progressive to place our children aged 2 and 4 back into the car rather than ok a car rental .. Note we owned our car no payments which meant we had full coverage and uninsured motorist coverage .. Progressive employs high school less thans who lack basic communication skills and have no customer service skills .. Terrible customer service! They don't know what they are doing. They don't answer my questions. They sent me the wrong paperwork. And didn't explain how to fill it out and sent the wrong version of the forms. My husband wasn't with me, so I drove all the way up to Marietta from Atlanta for no reason. So frustrating. I had to wait a long time in the office to talk to a supervisor, because they didn't explain something. They gave me wrong information. They couldn't get the details straight. They were unreasonable. They do not allow second opinions, once you take your car to one Progressive network body shop, they take that estimate as the final answer. This allows unscrupulous body shops to take advantage of people. Estimates very wildy from $1,000 to $10,000. My body shops were $1,000, their one body shop was $10,000. They protected a fraudulent body shop that damaged my car, lost my floor mats, and wanted to total my total so they would not be held liable for the damages. They forced me to total out my fully functional and nearly perfect looking car after I was rear ended in a mild fender bender. In Georgia, you can't continue to drive a car with salvage title. Now I can't drive my car. Despite it being safe and functional. And I can't get a rental car, because I didn't accept one at the beginning, because it only minor damage and I could still drive it. I saved them money, but they won't pass that on to me or help with my transportation now. I had no idea this would turn out to be the nightmare it has been. This has been the worst insurance experience I have ever had. This four month battle seems to never end. Absolute nightmare. After insuring all my vehicles with Progressive for over a decade, I am now looking for another company. I always hate to write a bad review but at this point I am exhausted of all options and I'm not sure what else I can do because I have not received the service I had hoped I was paying for monthly with my auto insurance payments. I had a car accident and my car was totaled. My policy states that I shall be provided with a rental car for a maximum of 30 days and up to $40 per day. (Which equals $1200 total.) I paid extra money to add the rental car to my policy. Now I am being harassed by enterprise to pay $337 by the end of the day. They said I can be arrested for not paying by the end of the day. I have been talked to and treated like a criminal. As of today, Progressive has only paid $697 towards my rental car. They stopped paying on the 25th. I received the rental on may 8th, 2018. The vehicle I was given is $34 per day. The total balance is $1085. We have not reached 30 days OR $1200 YET. I am worried and afraid for this growing problem! I pay my auto insurance each month because I don't want to be in trouble. I also pay it because I expect to receive a service of my insurance helping and handling these issues in a timely and professional manner. This has not been what I have experienced. My claims adjuster went on vacation last week without warning. So I have been trying to get answers and help from other claims adjusters but they have not helped. I was told I would get a call back and never did. I asked for a supervisor and never got to speak to one. All while I am being charged daily for this rental car & threatened with the police. The reason I still need the rental car is because I am still waiting for the lender of my auto loan to receive payment for my loan with the pay off checks that were sent by progressive on the 23rd is May. They still have not been received. I even asked my claims adjuster if I could pay to overnight the checks to speed up the process. I was denied. She said the Check only has to go from Dekalb to a car max location which is in very close proximity. Maybe 40 minutes away maximum travel time in a car. I am very stressed and disappointed. I thought progressive was one of the best insurance companies. This is a major inconvenience for me as I am a single mother. I work very hard and I'm a good person. I just want to get exactly what I paid for and not be lied to or given wrong information. I don't know why Enterprise is calling me several times per day. It is very ridiculous that I have to be so worried and that my insurance company is not helping me. I feel like I am in this alone. My insurance has not reached out to me at all. They are not following up. They should be taking care of these things. That is why I pay each month. Perhaps I need to stop paying them. Perhaps another insurance company does much better at fulfilling the policy's promises. I was happy to save $ when I switched to progressive but now I am thinking paying a little more each month would have been far worth it to have better service! Shameful! read more

Unfortunately, all of the TV ads about Progressive don't do this auto insurance company justice. One of their insured drivers rear ended me and made the subsequent experience a disaster. It took 3.5 weeks, much out of pocket expense, and much time and effort to get a sub par resolution. This has been our worst experience dealing with an insurance company in over 45 years of driving. While we certainly understand the need to keep costs down, the company representatives did their best to make this experience as unpleasant and time consuming as possible.
