These are required if you're an American planning on driving a car somewhere outside the United States or Canada. I'm planning a trip to Italy this winter and we're going to be renting a car. Therefore, I need an IDP. Getting this done at AAA today was super easy and very fast. A short wait for the next available agent and she brought me back to her desk. She took my picture, filled out the little IDP, attached the picture and stamped the bejeebers out of the booklet, which I then signed. Easy, pleasy, and only $20. Great service! They were great until I moved out of the area, and my insurance situation became a little more complicated (exactly when a knowledgeable agent is important). Long story short: poor communication and shameful customer service on the part of Joelle Fleeger and her staff resulted in me moving all of my business to a competitor. Frankly, I had no idea how bad of a deal I was getting at Gunn Mowery until I moved. When I instructed Ms. Fleeger that I had moved my policies, she was audibly thrilled (highly unprofessional). Bottom line: if you are looking for an agent to take your money and deliver poor customer service, bring your business here. Good riddance.
