Three months of dealing with a nagging Achilles' tendon strain led me to reconnect with Dr…read more Ribeiro. The pain would start early in the morning, as soon as I hit the floor, then subside after about 2 hours. During the pain period, I would have to stretch the tendon then continue with my normal activities. I contacted the office and was able to get an early appt with no problem. Next, I downloaded and completed the new patient forms in advance to speed processing. Shortly after I arrived, Dr. Ribiero did a physical exam then captured 3 different X-rays and explained the images. Luckily, I had no bone spurs, calcification, etc. but thanks to the X-rays she did noticed a slight drop in one of my arches. She gave me a prescription for an anti inflammatory, a sheet with recommended Achilles stretches, and recommendations to her fave running stores to get sneakers and inserts to more adequately support my high arches. My strain and pain have improved substantially and it's only been 3 days. The good doctor believes this issue will completely go away as long as I'm careful and continue the course of treatment. I absolutely love Dr. Ribeiro's chair-side manner and her new contemporary office. If you have any foot or ankle issues, give her a try. She very thorough and cares about her patients!

All of that and I still can't stop playing basketball and running around outside like a big kid. Needless to say, I hurt on a pretty regular basis. I've been to other practitioners who usually just focus on one of my issues, leading to minimal relief because they're all pretty interrelated. Dr. Ribeiro is the first person to treat my pain and then offer exercises and orthotics for strength and support. She has a great bedside manner, listens, and is very analytical in her assessment. That's a rarity with the medical professionals in this area who have a habit of trying to rush appointments and get you out the door in 10 minutes or less (after you've waited in the lobby for 30!). My discomfort is noticeably less frequent so I wont be seeing her as much as I've seen other practitioners for my lower extremity issues but she is definitely my choice for foot & ankle care.

I still walk around with pain in my several hundred dollar inserts. Then, a few months later, I get a bill saying that I still owe money that my insurance didn't pay. I told the woman, very nicely, that while the cost was not much, I couldn't pay for something that I didn't receive: good medical care. Well, she disagreed and sent me to a collections agency. I was taken aback by this. Truly taken aback. If a patient says, "I still hurt," should the doctor call you back to see what was wrong? If I wanted cortisone shots, I would have just gone in network. Not out of network to be taken to a collections agency. Shameful business practice and I will, in case you guessed, never be back.

From first phone call to the end of the appointment, they were great! The woman at the front desk was very friendly on the phone and when we were discussing appointment times, she was able to get me in that evening due to a cancellation- sweet! Also, she called me 20 minutes later to get a phone number for my insurance so that she could find out whether my plan would cover orthodics, which I thought was great. I had to wait about 45 minutes before I saw Dr. Petko, which was slightly frustrating. However, all the staff and Dr. Petko were extremely apologetic throughout my visit and the doctor let me know that an emergency broken ankle had come in... certainly more important than my foot moldings, so I understood and didn't mind that they made me wait! Like the other yelp review, Dr. Petko is very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time talking to me about my long history of running, injuries, and physical therapy. I don't know if it was because I had to wait so long or because i was the last appointment of the night, but it was refreshing to not have a doctor do the standard "friendly-but-i-got-another-appointment-in-fifteen-minutes-so-lets-hurry-it-up" attitude. I didn't find him to have a "stoic demeanor", though- he was very friendly and i felt like he talked to me runner-to-runner. If I had not left 45 minutes later on my own, I don't know how long I would have sat in that room waiting for the PA. Today I had a 9:15 AM appointment. I waited 20 minutes after my appointment time to be put in a room finally at 9:35 AM, . Once in the room, I waited an additional 15 minutes for the doctor to come in. When Dr. Kaas came in, and she explained she was held up for personal reasons. I then waited for the PA to come in to finish the visit and she did not show up at all. I waited another 20 minutes and I decided to leave. I am 67 years old and have NEVER left a doctor's office in my life. I told the front desk why I left. Five minutes after leaving, I received a phone call from the PA who told me they were short staffed. She invited me to come in today at my convenience to complete the treatment, but I could not. I will not be returning to this practice. This all could have been avoided by a kind explanation at any point in time while I was in the office.

I was seen by Dr. Jay Ryan at this practice back starting in 2025. I went to him for diagnosed foot…read morepain, and he constantly said multiple issues existed. He kept pushing for injections and surgeries. These injections were costly and did not work, and even after understanding that, he kept emphasizing the injections. Finally after refusing the injections multiple times, he suggested multiple surgeries. Dr. Ryan performed one surgery on July 2025, and one again on January 2026. Every time I was seen for debilitating foot pain, he suggested surgery. After each surgery completed, my foot pain got worse and now I can't walk. Dr. Ryan also provided an inaccurate estimate of how long my recovery would be, he did a very intense surgery where a portion of my heel was removed, metal hardware was taken out, and he said I would be able to walk in 2 weeks. Several months later, even after physical therapy, I am unable to walk. I don't think I will ever be able to walk again. After one of my surgeries I was scheduled for a post op with Dr. Ryan, and upon arriving, I was told I could not be seen by him. Dr. Kaas ended up seeing me, and she did not provide a thorough exam of my incisions. She stood on one side of the room where she could not examine my entire foot, and I had multiple stitches on all sides of my feet. Dr. Kaas glanced at me and told me I looked fine. She then denied me any pain medications even though I was told to ask, and I needed them. The front office also is not communicative, and unhelpful. I've had to ask them multiple times to send in pain medication that I needed URGENTLY after my surgery, and they waited days to do so even after they told me they would send it same day. They also refused to prescribe me pain medication, they said a Dr. had to sign off on it but still made me wait - even though Dr. Ryan said he'd send it same day. I feel as though my pain levels were completely disregarded and misdiagnosed at this practice. The front office is also not clear on how the billing works, they never communicated that there would be more than one bill for one surgery, and they also charge a hefty credit card surcharge/processing fee, which I feel is already unfair, and not done at any other practice. Also, for being a medical office that specializes in foot and ankle care, their building is NOT accessible, at all. There are multiple stairs and a steep incline going into the building, no automatic doors at the office. It was extremely hard trying to maneuver an office being disabled and using mobility aids that I brought like a wheelchair, a scooter, a walker, crutches, and a cane. I don't think I will ever be able to walk again after being seen by both Dr. Ryan and Dr. Kaas. Please avoid this office at all costs.
