My loss was 2.5 years ago and it's still not 100% finished because as a senior its hard to do unplanned construction yourself. I basically defaulted Pro Fire after nearly a year.. They sub contract everything and then slow pay the subs. They had 4-5 project managers in rotation who rarely showed up. They would have a sub work one or two days and then nobody would would work for 2 weeks Or longer. Some of the work was really poor from lack of supervision. I had to hire several contractors myself to do their best to sort out the problems. The pack out and demo went well but then reconstruction is a nightmare. i think this was a good company years ago that lost its way as all recent reviews are poor while old irrelevant ones are pretty good. read more

profire spend tim/money remove my real review from google. put my bad experience here and hope to help you avoid falling to their trap. 1. Ceiling is broken apart already after new installed while they are still working on my house other jobs. Worry about how long the other parts can last for their lowest quality work. The circuit breaker in washing room (close to the garage) keep jumping off while connect to charge my tesla in 10Amp(breaker is able to 20A) and my washing machine and dryer machine tripped if connected at the same time after their renovation on my house. Never use them. 2. Really bad in the past several years. Rule #1 for the potential victim still choose using profire, never give profire the authority to get the claim check from the mortgage bank or insurance directly. They will use your money to do their other emergency/close due work for sure. Then yours will be delayed and with the cheapest work you ever see. They show good sides to you at the beginning and get your trust and then will ask if you want them do you a favor to save your time by getting your authority to get insurance check directly from the mortgage bank or insurance directly. If you trust them and did so, you are their dead meat for sure. Below is the floor they finished! LoL 3. Insurance company refused to pay my house rent any more after 14 months because profire delayed their own work for half a year. Profire have to pay for my rent to get the rest of my check. With their license owner and general manager's push, profire still cannot meet the deadline (after they paid my rent for half year) and failed the city inspection. From here, you know how bad they are. The whole work itself is simple and the estimated time only taking half year from insurance and their PM. Profire failed the city inspection and my rental house time dead, My family have to live in hotel again just like we get another fire on my house. They argue their company is in trouble with another lawsuit in the past year. Wish Profire dead quickly and not hurt other families anymore. read more

I have to agree with one reviewer, you can't give a proper full review until well after the work has been completed. This is by far the WORST company I ever dealt with. I really wish I had read reviews like I would normally do before proceeding with them. Had a fire, which destroyed the entire house and during such a tragic time, the insurance company like to play on your emotions. I'm usually a smarter thinker than this and always know never go with what the insurance company suggest. I finally read reviews and one that stated this company couldn't even build a chicken coop is right. To add to that remark I would have said they couldn't even build a chicken coop if you gave them the directions. Let's start with my floors. My floors, are sinking, furniture in places are leaning like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The floors have dips in many places. We're having to nail everything to the wall because it's tipping over. My house at the time of the fire was only 5 years old, so the floors were solid. Now my floors creak in so many places including the stairs. When I brought this to their attention, they claim they couldn't feel what we all were feeling but everyone that came into the house including service people felt it and would immediately ask if there was an issue with my floors. I placed an object on the floor to show it's leaning and they still tried to say nothing was wrong and that LVP floor does this. They had the flooring guy come out to inspect it. Based on everyone's silence I know they felt it. The flooring guy came back with his crew and pulled the LVP flooring up. He confirmed my subfloors are crumbling into shreds. Profire had the flooring guy put a layer of plywood over the subfloors which now caused my floors to be higher, uneven & the LVP flooring is coming apart out the interlocking for a second time. It's so bad that we have a 1 year old and others in the house tripping over the LVP tile because it's no longer latched into the locking grooves. When you step on the floor, you can see the tiles moving and dipping into the floors. Due to the uneven flooring the oven racks when you open the oven comes flying out which is dangerous to not only us but the toddler in the house too. The dishwasher racks do the same thing. I have had folks almost get burned on the oven because no one expects the racks to come sliding out on its own. My fridge is leaning and Best Buy said it's because something is wrong with your floors. Both my main floor and second floors are the same. The floor creak more upstairs than downstairs. There are still small dips in places in the first floor where it was really bad. I have an entire room where the outlets do not work, I can still see the barcode on the drywall through the paint clearly. Lights don't work, they cut outlet covers in half instead of moving the outlet over a few inches. Doors don't close all the way, pocket door to the bathroom don't shut completely nor lock. Toilet seat was cracked and they replaced my soft close toilet seat with a hard seat that slams and isn't a soft close. The porch light doesn't always come on, when you flick the switch it's a gamble if it'll come on or not. Sometime we have to leave the switch on and in a few hours we see it on. They put my air vents in the wrong locations, thermostat stats in the middle of the wall so I can no longer hang a picture on the wall. I paid out of pocket for many other items I never got reimbursed for. Even though I provided the receipts per their request & they acknowledged owing me, they never reimbursed me. Now that they got their money, they will no longer respond to calls or emails. If they do it's always I'll be on vacation so I'll get with you next week and next week never comes. Anyone who plans to use this company, you better do your research and choose someone else. I use to love my home but everything done poorly is a constant reminder of that night the fire occurred. These people are about money and very unorganized. They will say one thing and do something else. They did things in my home I did not ask for because they felt it would look good. CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE! They call themselves contractors but they hire cheap handy men to do all of the work. read more

These guys not only short changed me and the repair but they also destroyed my front yard. They did send one person out to thaw out some seed, but it did not hold in my yard is still destroyed. Buyer needs to beware. They will give you plenty of lipservice but no follow through, also fibers read more

Met Profire for the first time in January 2021 when my own home insurance recommended them after a tree fell across my home. They stated that they could get the job done in 4 - 6 months. They didn't even start my project for five months, then didn't complete until April 2022. Still so many aesthetic issues (poor trim and molding, chips in porcelain tiles, using wrong color laminate flooring, rippling roof, and on and on). Took another 8 months to finally settle the bill. I could not, in any good conscience, recommend Profire to do any task in the building trades. They hire inferior employees who know nothing about proper customer service. The drama and in-fighting between employees becomes apparent quickly. I went thru two project managers and an estimator. They are just a mess. I spent 14 months forgiving them for making me wait, telling myself it was during a pandemic, and the housing bust of 2008 really screwed up the number of building tradespeople, but I could have finished the project myself, serving as my own general contractor, in half the time. DO NOT USE !! - My experience with them has not been favorable at all. I had a leak in my sunroom that went thru to the flooring. There was also some water damage to the ceiling. I called for them to come out, as they came recommended, to tarp the sunroom to prevent any more damage from being done until claim could be filed with insurance. Claim was filed, and their adjuster met with insurance adjuster to go over their findings. Claim was approved, but I never heard back from anyone at Profire, LLC after I called and messaged the adjuster Byron. I finally called main office and talked to them and they asked for me to send the estimate claim from my insurance agency for them to look over and contact me back. I heard back from the adjuster who stated after reviewing what the insurance sent back and talking to his manager, they felt as the job was just simply too insignificant for them to do and that I should just hire a "handy man" to do the shingle patch work and painting needed. ARE You KIDDING ME? That's how you handle a customer... ignore them for weeks (4+) then tell them the reason you aren't doing the work it because the pay out basically, is too minimal and not worth their time.... I believe that the real measure of a contractors' worth is how they perform their job AFTER they finish and get paid. This is why I waited until a year after we returned to our home that I chose to review Profire. After fire destroyed much of our home, Bruce Robinson and his team did an awesome job. Worst customer service ever! A representative from Profire came to give me an estimate for some water damage to my ceiling. That was literally the LAST time they contacted me proactively. I had to reach out to them to get the actual written estimate, and once I signed the work authorization I never heard from them again. Each time I called them, they told me they were "looking for someone to complete my job" or that they "had assigned my job to a Project Manager who would be contacting me shortly." I finally found another contractor who actually wanted my money and who was willing to actually do what they said they'd do. Save yourself some time ... find another contractor. read more

My review actually comes many years after we used Profire services. Our hours burned at a complete loss. Profire could not have been more professional and sensitive to us during this time. We asked for some unusual services and they went above and beyond to accomodate our needs. They were quick yet thorough during the demolition process. They also let us use their ozone machines in our temporary living quarters to help with the smell in some personal items that were recovered. I'm not sure if the company, or the personnel, is at the same quality level as when we used them years ago......but if so, I HIGHLY recommend! read more
