We started off with his lawn service, which is more than fairly priced, and from our first meeting onwards, we were impressed how respectful, generous (with his time and energy), responsive, detail-oriented, and communicative he is. We have been at our property for under two years and have been focused mainly on big house projects since the purchase. However, we wanted to get ahead of hurricane season by taking trees away from the roof and gain more protection from wildfires by cleaning up the wooded areas that were overgrown and encroaching on the house. We also wanted to make the woods more accessible and create some more space for future projects. Dave is very energetic and creative with a lot of ideas. He also has the experience completing complex large-scale projects. Dave creates partnerships with other companies he trusts, along with his own crew, to do the work. Dave has extremely high standards for himself, his workers, and those he partners with. In our experience, Dave delivers what he promises, and then a whole lot more. We are several parts into a much larger and long-term set of projects with him. We appreciate that Dave communicates when he will arrive, he manages the projects closely, lets us know each step well before it happens, negotiates the pricing, and is responsive and adaptable to changes. Once the tree company took off the first layer of dense brush, and revealed a beautiful forest behind it, we decided we wanted to change the original plan and create a lot more openness. This was obviously going to cost a bit more as the initial scope has expanded. Dave immediately called us to work through all the details and make sure we were on the same page as far as what we wanted done, then he worked on the price, and was back to us quickly with the number. The work done was massive, and not inexpensive, but the price was more than fair. Someone else wouldn't have done nearly as nice of a job and would have easily charged a lot more. The work the tree company and his crew did was phenomenal. Not only did they really listen to us, work super hard, they went above and beyond as well to make sure we were happy. Every person working here was respectful of us and our property. We feel like a whole new world has opened up here, and Dave keeps reminding us that this is only the beginning of the possibilities. More birds have come out, we now have a lovely breeze in the backyard, and it just looks beautiful. Dave's goal is to make his customers happy. He set a high bar for our expectations, then delivered way beyond them. We feel so thankful and lucky to have him on our team and in our corner.

Unfortunately, it took him 3 weeks to come up with a design quote. After 2 weeks we had moved on to another vender who gave us a great design, with added soil and compost amendments, and a drip irrigation system. A plan that took less than a week's time. It's too bad George took so long. He wasted his time and ours.

THE LAWNCARE STAFF YOU SEND KEEP CHANGING, AND THE WORK IS INCONSISTENT. Actually, it's…read moreconsistently bad. When the former owner or staff used to come before he hurt his back, he would spray for weeds, pick up fallen palm fronds, and would take care with how he cut the grass so as not to blow grass into the mulch, or blow the mulch into the grass. He would take time to edge carefully and cleanly, and again, would take care not to damage my trees. He would spray herbicide. The staff now do none of this. I have to ask them to pick up the palm fronds, or I'm left to do it after they leave. There are weeds growing like crazy. ALL of my trees are damaged from careless weed whacking, some are so girdled that they've died (mangoes). The staff weedwhack so high off the ground that they've killed the fruit on my baby avocado, and damaged bark as high as 8 INCHES above the level of the grass.. I also noticed the tech taking a photo of the house after the lawn was cut one day. I don't know why this would be necessary. This is entirely unacceptable, and I will be noting it with the attached photos in my review. Also, I have received appointment reminders when where no one shows up, and have received two appointment reminders in the same week AFTER the grass was already cut. So, there seem to be administrative problems as well as execution issues. He was conscientious, well organized and cleaned up after himself. He worked quickly and efficiently. He was polite and friendly. In my case he went above and beyond what was expected.
