We started off with his lawn service, which is more than fairly priced, and from our first meeting onwards, we were impressed how respectful, generous (with his time and energy), responsive, detail-oriented, and communicative he is. We have been at our property for under two years and have been focused mainly on big house projects since the purchase. However, we wanted to get ahead of hurricane season by taking trees away from the roof and gain more protection from wildfires by cleaning up the wooded areas that were overgrown and encroaching on the house. We also wanted to make the woods more accessible and create some more space for future projects. Dave is very energetic and creative with a lot of ideas. He also has the experience completing complex large-scale projects. Dave creates partnerships with other companies he trusts, along with his own crew, to do the work. Dave has extremely high standards for himself, his workers, and those he partners with. In our experience, Dave delivers what he promises, and then a whole lot more. We are several parts into a much larger and long-term set of projects with him. We appreciate that Dave communicates when he will arrive, he manages the projects closely, lets us know each step well before it happens, negotiates the pricing, and is responsive and adaptable to changes. Once the tree company took off the first layer of dense brush, and revealed a beautiful forest behind it, we decided we wanted to change the original plan and create a lot more openness. This was obviously going to cost a bit more as the initial scope has expanded. Dave immediately called us to work through all the details and make sure we were on the same page as far as what we wanted done, then he worked on the price, and was back to us quickly with the number. The work done was massive, and not inexpensive, but the price was more than fair. Someone else wouldn't have done nearly as nice of a job and would have easily charged a lot more. The work the tree company and his crew did was phenomenal. Not only did they really listen to us, work super hard, they went above and beyond as well to make sure we were happy. Every person working here was respectful of us and our property. We feel like a whole new world has opened up here, and Dave keeps reminding us that this is only the beginning of the possibilities. More birds have come out, we now have a lovely breeze in the backyard, and it just looks beautiful. Dave's goal is to make his customers happy. I'm a first-time Yelp user and to my great surprise and pleasure, I had DB diagnose my issue. I was electrical and needed a specialist that they brought in. The repair was not easy and a typical irrigation company would likely have added to the nominal fee I paid to get this repaired. I was expecting double the cost and so glad it was half. After a few detail-oriented, onsite meetings with David we agreed to use DB for our lawn maintenance. He suggested a number of services he provided in addition to lawn maintenance; clean-up, planting, landscpaping and garden design -- which seemed great. We gave notice to our current service provider and then the day before he was scheduled to start he called and stated that he would not provide us with the agreed upon service because 1) we have an irrigation controller he was not familiar with and 2) that my followup on the additional services he agreed to quote were beyond his abilities. Really? Raking leaves and picking up branches (the additional clean-up services I had followed up on) were "beyond his abilities"? Give me a break. He gave us no notice, which left us in a predicament with no service provider. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere, you can't count on DB. read more

David came by on a Monday to more the law and came back on a Saturday to work on my sprinklers, and he showed me how to do a little work on them also. He also has great knowledge of the plants, trees, and flowers around my house and how to best keep them healthy. He is also great with suggestions on what else would work in my lawn. I own a property management and real estate company. After 2.5 months of service, I was fired by this company for complaining about the conditions of my properties even though I had pictures backing up my complaints. There were a few times they skipped mowing, never picked up palm fronds and debris, and the owner is dishonest. He emailed one of my clients and told them that I mark up my invoices to my clients by nearly 50% which was a blatant lie (I have NEVER marked up an invoice on a client EVER and that would dishonest and illegal) and I guess in an effort to defend his sloppy work. 5 Star Company!! After moving here from Illinois we were having the worst luck with Lawn Care. Our first guy asked for a year of payment in advance and after 2 months he left the state with everybodys' money. My next guy had a very unprofessional crew that would ride circles in my yard, missing complete patches of grass. Strike 3 was a very likable guy and his price was great, but being new to lawn care he did not know what he was doing. He sprayed weed control killing many of my landscape bushes. We were told they would be 6 feet but they were at least 10 feet! David is hands on 100%. David the owner is a hard worker but makes many promises he does not keep. I hired him to remove some plants and plant new ones and to bring in new stone for the flower beds. I gave him a large deposit and on the morning of the work he insisted on the remainder of payment before he did any work. I refused and he got a bad attitude over me not paying till all work done. He offered to do some trimming for free but never finished and refused to. He left about a dozen buckets of stone on lot next door and said they could not pick up the rest which I ended up doing. He promised a final inspection which he refused to do. I discovered when he planted the plants that he did not remove all the roots of the old ones which will cause me problems down the road and two of the plants are already dieing. By end of day I was just glad to see him go but should have refused final payment. Guess I learned a good lesson read more

I had some work done on my yard in January of 2017. David was very responsive and followed up on all our meetings and conversations. I was having the yard cleared at a home I had just purchased. There were a couple tress I wanted removed and more that I wanted cut down. He went about the work methodically in with great regard for the rest of the property. One of the trees I wanted removed was growing roots very close to the well, he brought me out and explained the dangers of removing the tree and what could happen to the well.
