I've had work done several times by zimdall electric. Each time got worse than the previous time…read more Everything from knocking out an entirely functional wall of electricity to putting things in the ground that were already there such as grounding copper. Then the worst part was when Steve fell through my kitchen ceiling and tried to blame me. And if that wasn't bad enough that my kitchen ceiling came down they sent three guys who had been drinking to fix the ceiling. Instead of fixing the ceiling they cut a square out of the ceiling and put a square into the ceiling even though a 4x8 sheet was ruined plus and then they ruined the texture on my ceiling. And to this day it's still like that because they've never fixed it. Even though every job that I ever had them work on I paid cash money. So I wouldn't recommend them for anything. I strongly recommend anybody should call the Arkansas electrical licensing or the contractor's licensing board to make sure that all the workers that come to your house are indeed licensed in the state of Arkansas. I will say one thing that was good about the company and that was Ed. Ed was an extremely personable person I don't know what his actual job is but I would say working in a field of construction that I had for decades that I would say he would be an amazing outside salesperson because he is definitely a good talker very pleasant professional and it's got a sense of humor. So yay for Ed but he's not the one working on anything electric or drywall for that matter. So I would not hire zimdall electric. Also I have to say that this is nothing to do with the original owner Richard zimdall who is retired. This business is not owned by zimdalls anymore. So it's sad that somebody does that shoddy work using a company name who built a strong following in the Mountain Home area. I believe the owner there is Matthew Archie and not Richard zimdall

14 hours agoNew-Edit Delete My experience with Jim Brown…read moreHVAC company involved them installing a Lennox heat pump dual fuel furnace (repalcing a 27 year old gas furnace/ air conditioner). Everyone from the owner (and his wife), the secretary, installers, and technicians have been very helpful and professional. The owner evaluated my situation, guiding me into a unit that fit my needs. He didn't try to oversell me on a higher priced unit that would probably never save us enough to pay for itself. On the contrary, he suggested a mid-efficiency unit would fit our needs at a reduced cost to us. Not only that, but once we settled on a unit, a handshake is all it took to get it ordered. Who still does business this way in 2024- not many, I'm fairly sure. The day of the install, Mr. Brown came out to make sure the installation was going smoothly. As with any bigger job, there are always some minor issues, but those were immediately and satisfactorily resolved. The technician that came out was extremely knowledgeable, also. The unit we chose was the Lennox Merit series with a single stage compressor, variable speed fan motor, and dual stage gas backup. One of our main goals was to get a quieter unit, along with increased comfort and efficiency. Let me just say, this unit, it's much quieter than the unit it replaced - night and day. Comfort is much better as well, though granted, we aren't in a period of extreme weather here at the end of October. Concerning efficiency, time will tell, but I'm sure it will far exceed our 27 year old Goodman. Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend this company for not only new installations, but also technical advice and troubleshooting, I would say that this company definitely stands by their word, and they don't take advantage of folks who don't know exactly what they need. It's quite refreshing to do business with a local, family owned company that still values honesty and integrity. Thank you, Mr. Jim and Mrs. Dana!

When we returned and it was cold, our heater wouldn't work (we don't live here full time). So I called them again, he showed up that day , I explained what it was doing (growling loudly then shutting off, we walked around to the unit, NEVER took off a panel, never hooked up any gauges ( i was watching) then after about 20-25 seconds stated " That's what I thought, you are out of Freon, so i questioned how Freon would make it growl and shut off, He stated " Freon is like oil in a car engine, if it is empty, the unit wont start" . So I asked how much will it cost to fix it. ( I know my unit is older) He stated " Well, it will be $700 just for the Freon and another $400 for the part, then it will not last for over probably a month" I said oh, so what do we do? He said, you will need to replace the entire unit. I had him give me an estimate in writing, which was over $7,300. ( on the service order he wrote Found leak in system somewhere needs new system). FOUND A LEAK SOMEWHERE?? SO i said we have a home warranty, I will contact them just to see what they will do. THANK GOD I did. They had me get a second opinion, which I did the next day. It was the BLOWER MOTOR that was out causing the growling sound, the FREON WAS FINE. Had them replace it $300.00 and It works great now. Maybe he saw an opportunity to take advantage of an out of towner or what not sure, but I will not be using them again. I sent the warranty company copies of all their tickets AND copy of the ticket of the company that fixed it.

WARNING: FAULTY WORKMANSHIP AND UNHINGED CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more Leslie and I hired this company in July to install seamless gutters, and it was a complete disaster. During the very first rainstorm, the system failed. The pitch was dead-level, causing water to pour directly behind the gutters and underneath the new installation. Leslie has posted the videos and photos of the leaks with this review-the proof of their botched work is undeniable. When we asked them to honor their warranty and fix the leaks, the owner's immediate response was to threaten to bring law enforcement to our house to rip the gutters down. I have text messages proving I explicitly offered to pay in full once the job was corrected. Instead, he called the police, who quickly realized this was a civil contract issue. Now, to distract from his own bad workmanship, the owner has resorted to posting unhinged, fabricated stories and attacking my craftsmanship as a builder. Let's set the record straight: The "House Structure" Lie: He claims the house I built is twisted and out of level, and that I don't know how to use a string line. The house is built perfectly plumb and square. Even if a house did have structural issues, a competent contractor would point that out before doing the work, not use it as a retroactive excuse after their dead-level gutter installation fails. The Damage / Sawzall Lie: He actually claimed in a public response that I threw a tantrum and cut his gutter hangers with a Sawzall. I have attached our home surveillance footage to this review. The video clearly shows his own crew ripping down and intentionally destroying their own materials. The Sprinkler & Marijuana Lies: He blamed our sprinklers for not being able to work properly, even though Leslie was home all day receiving home health care and no one ever asked her to move anything. He also made bizarre, deflecting accusations about marijuana, completely ignoring the fact that she has a medical card. He is now publicly bragging about using derogatory slurs against our friends and trying to "blacklist" us with other contractors just because we refused to pay for a broken system. Save yourself the massive headache and hire a professional who stands behind their work and treats people with respect.
