Kevin accurately assessed what exercises I needed, gradually increased the number of reps and weights to be used.

I've had 100s of chiropractic adjustments at NMR and plenty of physical therapy sessions. I get my chiro adjustments there by Dr. Sferra, Dr. D, or Dr. Jerry to address back and neck pain. Dr. Jeremy and Dr. Rupa are my go to physical therapists for my gym-related injuries. The staff is always friendly, they're knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. My nutritional game got so much better after Docs clinical nutrition consults. I also get my medical grade supplements there. Get my custom orthotics there. But I think the highest compliment I can pay to NMR is that I recommend my patients from my clinical practice to go there for their needs. Love this place.

I've been to other PT places but this one is by far the best. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Dr. Jeremy is one of the best doctors I've ever met. When I came here I was having problems with sleeping, doing lunges and squats due to extreme knee pain on both knees. I'm happy to say that I am able to do reverse lunges and body weight squats. I am also able to do step ups with light weights and Bulgarian split squats. Sleeping is no longer an issue. I was skeptical when I first walked in but I do not regret the decision. If you are experiencing joint pain please give them a call! You won't regret it.

You know how when someone has a great experience with a physical therapist, they can't wait to talk…read moreabout how much the person helped get them back to their healthier, more able-bodied self? Well, this is NOT going to be one of those times. This place is a borderline disaster. In 10 appointments, I saw FIVE different therapists. There was minimal communication between any of them, and I did different exercises each time-all of which seemed to be what the therapist du jour felt like having me do. So zero consistency, not to mention the main therapist who runs this center is rude and judgmental-just so quick to turn her nose up at you. In fact, after overhearing that I am a snowboarder, she walked across the room and butted in just to say how horrible it is to be on the mountain with snowboarders. I responded by letting her know how many times I've picked up and carried the flailing skis & poles left behind by her kind, but I digress.... Anyway, I ONLY went here because it was a worker's comp and they didn't give me a choice. I had multiple injuries, and actually had to tell them to give up on one just to focus on the other two because they clearly couldn't get their act together. It was very frustrating to get reevaluated during my last week there, and have them look at me cross-eyed and sideways when the results showed that I hadn't made any progress...as if they just couldn't imagine why. So for injuries that, while fairly serious, really could've been addressed by physical therapy, I now need surgery because it's been too long without progress. Needless to say, I'll never go here again and NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

Visited their website and was impressed, they have many location so it shows how successful they are. I suffered a back injury a few months prior. Woke up and could barely bend my back or move around without pain. It felt like a disc herniation. I decided to just let it heal on its own. Eventually after a week or 2, my back felt okay enough where I went back to the gym. That was a mistake, it was re-aggravated but this time I felt more pain going down my left leg. I called their office and spoke to Alex. She was very nice and helpful from the first phone call. To me, one of the first thing I look in a business is their front desk staff. It usual is a good indicator of everything else with that business. My therapist was Kelvin. He's young but it seem like he's been doing this for years. He assessed my back and leg. Worked on my imbalance hip/pelvic, had me some core strengthening exercises, and I left my first visit feeling good. With my condition, we knew it take time to fully resolve my back/leg pain. Kelvin always gave you his honest opinion anytime you ask him something. Another thing about his style is that he wants you to be independent, he will call you out if he sees you "cheating" on your exercises. It's all about proper form and doing it a slow pace so you can feel each stretch/contraction. My PT was only a month due to my insurance. In that month, my core feels stronger, the pain has decreased, and my attention to posture has become a larger focus when I sit or stand too long. The equipment and facility itself is also very new and always look clean. To sum it up, I enjoyed my time getting PT at Kessler, the staff was friendly and my PT did an amazing job on my back/leg.

The care team you receive focuses on each individual's needs. The care team meets with both resident and family member for the subacute rehab facility to discuss the care plan of action and goals. The subacute suites have ample space and privacy curtains and doors for patients to have rest and a quiet stay. Each room in the subacute facility is private, so no patient has to share the space. The beds are twin long adjustable beds. There is a large bathroom with plenty of safety bars and space for a short stay. We had planned on 20 days, but it ended up being only a 4 days stay. The staff is primarily Filipino and kind. Some shared their journey that brought them to nursing care and a rehab facility. While there are several Parker locations, Somerset is the only subacute facility. It's roughly a 15 minute drive from Robert Wood Johnson hospital. Many people are concerned about the quality of the food at a subacute center. Parker gave menus with at least two options per meal and a static list of always available items. You can have the opportunity to meet with a nutritionist to discuss personal goals and food challenges. They accommodate every meal to meet patient needs or requests. You do need to request salt, pepper, and butter, but it's better to be able to add than have everything over seasoned. There is a round the clock refreshment station available with juices, water, coffee, and tea. The upgraded facility is really beautiful and set back into the landscape, providing privacy for residents. There are plenty of areas to gather outdoors with the help of staff to exit or enter the building. There is a cafe designed for families visiting with patients. It's cash only and you can purchase a salad, soup, or sandwich. They also offer some of the hot meals available to residents so you acne sample what's available. The check-in process requires signing yourself in and out of the facility. It's very convenient and the by your second visit, the person at the front desk will recognize you. I highly recommend Parker and want to thank nurse Christen for welcoming me and showing me kindness while adjusting to the facility.

I live alone and was told I would receive PT at home as we'll has home health care for help with everyday chores. Seven days have past and now another weekend will be upon us, will I receive help next week? I would not recommend Parker for Seniors who live alone.
