When I decided to replace the decades old carpet in the 1971 Carmichael house I grew up in, with a…read morereal 3/4" tongue and groove oak floor, I reached out to Blue Ribbon flooring. An older contractor I had started with had to pass on the job by no fault of his own due to a medical condition. I was worried it would be hard to find someone with the same level of knowledge. My main reason in choosing them was because they JUST do real hardwood floors. I had lived pretty much only in houses with hardwood floors my entire adult life up until this point so the ease of care wore off on me. Also being an amateur carpenter myself, i had an appreciation for the trade. I was definitely correct in this approach. For one thing, they run a clean operation, literally, there wasn't a speck of dust getting out of the work site due to them using a very high quality dust capture system, which if anyone has ever worked with hardwood, you know how much fine and microfine dust it can generate. They also got me a really good price on the wood flooring which was partially timing but also conscientious attention to detail before starting the job. The rest of the review is basically their quality craftsmanship, as you can. see from the photos they did a very tight, undercut of the rock fireplace in the room they were doing the install and I still marvel at this. In the end. the floor looked as if it had always been there. which to me, is a sign of success! I let them recommend. distinguished color and level of darkness and I'm glad I let them decide, because they matched everything color-wise to what was already in the house! I am on a fixed income and I had to get approval from other family members to do the work but they were really competitive price wise when it came to material and labor and in the end i got a more expensive floor for less than it would have otherwise cost, especially since I opted to do the demo of the original floor myself before they started. But if you have them demo it, it's not that much more so that part is really up to you.

ChatGPT gave me a range of $500-$900 for the job in my area. Quality - looks great, watched some of the work and I could tell they were trying to do it right and not cut any corners. Service - great communication throughout the project and was not pushy on sales like some of the other companies. Really kind person and I wish most contractors were like him. I used DC flooring because they were highly rated but these are obviously fake reviews. They gave…read morean estimate similar to many companies so I went with them. I had them install baseboards, fix a section of my floor, and restain my floors. I went on vacation while they did this. I came back to all the windows in my house and doors left open. Anyone could have came in. The baseboards were not painted, there was dust everywhere, they got stain on many of my cabinets. They did come out to paint the baseboards but got paint on the floor. I paid to have the furniture moved and ended up having to help move in myself. Additionally, the workers that did the actual work were not even from the same company. I doubt that they were even legal. I could get past most of this but one of the repairs only lasted a few months then broke again. When I reached out they gave me the run around, then when they did come out said that my floors were not installed probably, and that was the issue. I asked when they did not disclose this prior to the project they said that they did not know. They refused to repair it and were very rude about it. I have no choice but to report them to the licensing board and go to court to collect damages to repair my floor. Do not use this company.

I did not have the original vinyl flooring to replace carpeting in my unit's bedrooms, but David put great effort into finding ones what was as close as possible. In any event, David and his partner were able to replace the carpet with the flooring we chose in only 2 and a half days and when we saw the results, we were pleasantly surprised at how well the results were and in addition, though the vinyl was not a 100% match with the rest of the unit, we were pleasantly surprised to find how well it integrated with the rest of the unit and actually made the unit more interesting looking. I will use DC Floors for any flooring needs I have, and I can't recommend them enough!
