Dec. 2022. This barbershop has been in this location for about 6 years. The outside sign shows the creative flavor of the owner. The sign just invites you into a place where you will feel very welcomed. I love going to barbershops. In my experience, the people at hair salons are reticent about cutting a woman's hair really short; whereas, the men at the barbershop have no problem with cutting, fading and lining at sista's head. No problem at all. This was the pleasant experience at this shop also. Terrinon (I hope I spelled it correctly), the owner and another barber were in the shop when I entered. Everyone greeted me at the owner asked me how may I help you? And he seemed really surprised when I said I wanted to cut. But he was probably surprised because my hair is already rather low from other peoples standards. And I sit in Teryan's chair and described what I wanted. He talked me through his process told me what he was going to do and also let me know that at each stage he would stop and ask me if everything is OK before he cut any further. I really like this communication, and I appreciated the transparency of his telling me his process before he took clippers to my hair. The conversation in the barbershop was jovial. There were a few TVs on sports information shows which is totally fine with me. I also really liked the signs that warned the customers to use no profanity in this establishment and to keep their children under control. I really liked the signs and the fact that the owner and the other barbers were adamant about keeping a nice clean family friendly establishment. I visit Mobile often. So I will keep this place in mind when I'm in Mobile and I need a cut. read more

I love coming to this place. The young short barber is my favorite. His name is Israel. He took the time to cut my hair right and took his time. He got my lineup crispy clean. He cuts all races and ethnicities and does a great job. I'll definitely be coming back. and the owner of the shop is awesome because he works with all of the barbers and every single barber is professional and can cut really good! They will get you crisp and clean!!! they work like a close family and take care of each other as well as the customers and that's Absolute gangsta!!!! Me and my homeboy went to the barders shop and ask for a line up and a textured fringe. My hair got cut way too short by the barber name travis. My homeboy got a lineup and he looked no different and it was 25 for nothing basically. First off the good. The shop was clean and family friendly with a very visible no profanity sign posted. From their previous reviews on Facebook I saw that they had very happy customers. An ethnically diverse clientele, which is important since I'm a black mixed woman and typically white salons have no clue how to style or cut my hair. Lastly, they do good things for the community, such as free haircuts for children headed to back to school. The barber who cut my hair was friendly and helped put me at ease, as I was nervous since this has been the shortest I have ever cut my hair. Just did the big chop and I am trying to regrow my hair out healthy. Because of the good I debated for sometime before leaving this review. Now on to the bad. I came to a barbershop because I wanted someone who could cut very short hair and make it look good. When I walked in I saw about 5-6 people waiting for a hair cut and a barber at every chair cutting hair, except one. I stated I needed a cut and someone (I'm assuming the owner) said Ryan would be right with me. I should have known right then that perhaps Ryan's chair was empty for a reason. I showed him pictures front and profile of several women with short hair. Then I told him I wanted him to keep my natural hairline in the front, clean the hair up around ears, no skin showing on the sides and fade the back. Perhaps, that was not enough information or I did not convey clearly enough what I wanted. However, that does not excuse the lack of skill. To be clear and fair, I looked over my hair before I left the shop. However, I had to ask for a handheld mirror so I could check my hair out. I thought it looked a little off but maybe it was just a big chop regret and could be fixed if I put product in my hair. Nope, it wasn't until I got home and tried to manipulate my hair that I realized just how bad it was. I paid $17 dollars and tipped $5 dollars cash for the haircut. By my ears I looked scalped, they weren't even and on the right top of my head the hair was noticeably about 1/4 of an inch shorter than the rest of the hair on top of my head. Perhaps, Ryan is a new and inexperienced barber, which is the only reason I could think of why my cut would turn out so jacked. Every barber in the shop and their clients had eyes on him butchering my hair. The owner of the shop should have supervised him and definitely not let me walk out of the shop advertising for them. read more

Loved everything about this shop! Cleanliness, friendly, family oriented and professional !! Such a welcoming atmosphere! The service was outstanding. I was so indecisive about getting locs, but Calisha the loctician calmed my fears and boy am I glad she did! I love them! I eased on over to the owners chair for my eyebrows and when I tell you I "ain't eva" had my brows look this amazing! The best part of the entire experience was at the end of the day when barbers were leaving they walked around to each station giving high fives, elbow bumps and pats on the back saying goodnight!
