Glenda & Nancy, the directors, make safety and compassion a priority. The class sizes are small so you don't ever feel like you're leaving your kids at a 'daycare'. Our kids beg to go to school because they make learning such a fun experience. They have weekly stretch & grow (which focuses on physical fitness and healthy habits), they have seasonal festivals and special parties for holidays. They really go the extra mile and sincerely love each and every child that comes through the doors. They have a security system entry and take extra precautions to ensure all classroom allergies are addressed. This preschool has the perfect blend of warmth & quality education.

Our son was one of the first children at this location when it opened. In those first few years we…read moreabsolutely loved the tight knit community and attention to detail the staff and directors offered. However as we now enter our child's third year at the school with numerous staff and leadership turnover we utilize this school more out of convenience than personal choice. There have been several instances of miscommunication from leadership with our family. Even more concerning, is the notable leadership turnover in such a short period of time. Unfortunately there is not a standard practice in place for routine class transitions which allow children of the same age an equal opportunity to access all learning tools which the school prides itself on. It's extremely disappointing to see such obvious stagnation and regression in our child's classroom engagement and learning for what appears to be the sake of appeasing incoming families on waitlists or special circumstances. I do hope moving forward the school is able to put in place more concrete class groupings so that all children are afforded an equal opportunity to engage and excel in their pivotal early learning years with the developmentally appropriate materials and tools the school has to offer.

This school is the worst place to put a child that is autistic. My son is on the spectrum which…read morecomes with ADHD and meltdowns and aggression. That is normal for kids on the spectrum. The aggression stems from them not knowing how to use their words. He had behavioral therapists there with him everyday and he was only at this school for four days before they kicked out a special needs child! A normal non special needs child takes a week to transition to a new place....a child on the spectrum takes at least two weeks maybe three. The owner did not allow that. The teachers have no training on how to handle and teach a child on the spectrum at all. The owner also LIED and said the behavioral therapists sat and let my son hit and kick the teacher and they ignored it. TOTAL LIES!! I have the proof from the notes that they have to put in every week from the sessions. So the owner lied to me, the teacher lied also. I called the ADA and was told what they did violated the ADA act and to file a complaint. I have filed a complaint with the ADA. This place needs to be shut down for good. They are horrible. They also wanna charge almost $1200 a month you have to pay on the 1st of every month and they don't provide lunch, you have to provide lunch for your child and they wanna charge that much. Basically a daycare for rich snobby people!

I hate to have to make this review but I would want to know these things as a parent. My daughter…read morestarted at this location when she was only 2 months old. We stayed until she was almost 3 but were already planning to leave due to high staff turnover, staff not helping us parents with potty training (using changing tables and diapers while we use the potty and underwear at home for example), and dirty bathrooms. I had let the director know we would be withdrawing. The day I did this, the unthinkable happened. The last straw and the day I took my child out for good was last week when I arrived to pick up my child (2 years old) and I found her ALONE IN A CLASSROOM. No adult anywhere nearby (none in the front or adjacent classrooms as all the classes were outside). Another parent witnessed this. My daughter told me "my friends left me" then said "a monster was going to get me" when I asked her what happened before she was left. I walked outside and found her class and teacher (as well as an ex teacher who was there visiting?) . When I confronted her teacher there was automatic lies about some person who wasn't even there and shouldn't have been alone with my child regardless. A bunch of excuses. The director was apologetic but the next day stated "she was only alone for 3 minutes" which even if that was true, was only because I showed up. I did report this center to the state and to corporate. This center was good once upon a time but needs major help. We will never use this center again.

The Staff is WONDERFUL. My daughter has Ms. Veronica who is fantastic and so fun! She's always engaging with them thru stories, games, dance (they dance everyday) and art. All the Staff and new owner, Marisol, are super nice, happy and caring people. What's really cool is just about every week or two there's an event, field trip (these are optional) and/or theme. The Staff go all out and decorate the building and classrooms. And the Staff dress up for them too. A few weeks ago they took a field trip to the main library. Last week they did a Bear Hunt event on the playground. This week they took the kids to Catty Shack Wildlife Sanctuary. And every day, Veronica and the teachers fill out a report sheet for the day for the parent that says what their child had for lunch, how long they slept and who they played with etc. Carmen always comes home happy with nothing but good things to say. This place is truly a gem!

Mrs. Eliza is great, all the students love and look up to her. Communication from the school is great, we receive nightly calls from Miss Jazmine, the schools director, with updates and what's upcoming. They take monthly field trips and keep the children engaged. Their rates are comparable to most other preschools and day cares. In all the time my child has been there, the school has always been clean, and I've never witnessed any issues as stated in the previous reviews. Now as far as children contracting bugs and other illnesses, it is common for children, especially when introduced to new germs (preschools are incubators for this type of stuff), I recommend probiotics to boost your child's immune system. Especially over the first few months. The educational aspect has been great, and I'm confident my child will have all the skills necessary to begin Kindergarten this fall. I don't write a lot of reviews, but felt like the ones for this page were pretty unjustified, perhaps there was different owners or staff at that time. Our experience has been fantastic and I would recommend Intercoastal Kids to my friends and family.
