love this daycare . my niece had first started here growing up until she was in vpk. they always made sure she came home happy and having the best day ever! i currently had a daughter last year and decided to take her there since i knew how well they cared for her . and i must say after a couple years the love never left! i feel at ease leaving my daughter with her teachers for the first time they're absolutely wonderful! i'm extremely grateful for them. they make sure my babygirl is well taken care of . they even have a app to check in on your kiddo during the day! the owner is a wonderful lady as well! good energy.. and if you're wondering they keep that place spotless! they do a good deep clean everyday. classrooms look beautiful not messy or unorganized. so if you were looking for a nice daycare this is it! thank you southpoint for all that you do! read more

Our daughter loves this place! She is 18 months and literally runs in with huge smiles on her face every morning. She occasionally sees pics I get from Procare on my phone and her face lights up. The staff is friendly and always has events for the kids. They get free mini photo shoots for most of the holidays. They send out weekly planning sheets and lunch menus so we always know what's going on. I do recommend this place. read more

A great Daycare! We have been going to Southpoint Early Learning Center for the past 9 years. It has been more like an extended family than a daycare facility. I am very thankful to have had them to help raise and teach our children. Our youngest is starting Kindergarten this year and it will be sad to leave Southpoint. This place is great! The last daycare my son was at was awful, he started asking to not go to school and would run and cling to us when we picked him up. When a 3 year old starts saying that, there's something wrong. We came to this place it was like night and day. Everyone is so friendly and caring. Our son's mood has greatly improved and he tells us how happy he is and how much he loves school. We have a hard time dragging him off the playground in the afternoon! And we can tell he's learning so much more now than where he was. read more

I am shocked that there are poor reviews. This daycare is not small and has so many creative learning games, toys and activities for kids. My three and a half year old recognized EVERY letter of the alphabet at 18 months and knew his phonics at 2 1/2. He has participated in the soccer program at this school and knows more than many kids in kindergarten. He is writing already. He has really been happy at this school and looks forward to going each day. There's so much structure and love here! Great meals which are better than public school lunches and yes plenty of junk food on party days! read more

Do not EVER bring your child to this daycare! I walked in to find my two year old unsupervised and playing in cleaning supplies! Not only did he have access to all dangerous items in the kitchen, but he also could have very easily been taken or walked out of the front door! The owner is careless and the teachers have no accountability. You will constantly wonder why your child is coming home with a Walmart brand diaper on instead of your Pamper or Huggie that you sent, there is a fear that they do not keep up with allergies (my son's classmate is lactose intolerant and was given coffee creamer because they mixed up the containers in the fridge!!), and my son was coming home with numerous bug bites daily! Spend the extra money and go elsewhere. read more

I spent hours researching this place. Visiting, calling, talking to the employees. I was told that my child could start in two weeks. I waited the two weeks and when I went back for another visit, they stated that suddenly they didn't take her age group for part time. If I had known this from the beginning, I never would have spent so much time and energy researching and planning. Now I am back at square one looking for a daycare when I probably could have enrolled her two weeks ago. They are not helpful. I love this pkace. All the staff loves the kids and they care! My son loves this place and all the teacher. Is a wonderful place. They treat parents like family and they genuinely show care and love. I will recommend this place . Ms Dee is such a wonderful person and she loves the kids and treat them as their own. All the teachers are amazing and I am so happy with this place. It is so shocking to read negative reviews for SELC! We made the decision to move our daughter from home care with a family member a year ago. We are so glad we chose SELC! The director is one of the most caring, loving ladies on the planet. She genuinely loves all of the children in her care. The teachers are an extension of the director. They love and care for each one of the children in their classroom. They are certified and each class receives age-appropriate instruction each day. Many of the teachers have been on staff for a number of years. Each teacher my daughter has been exposed to has been loving and caring and, even at her tender age, she has taken something from each teacher and each classroom experience. They have fostered her love of learning and it shows! SELC has been a top-notch experience for my daughter, and we look forward to her staying through their VPK program. I regularly recommend SELC to my friends and associates who are looking for care for their children. read more

I love this place as well. I have brought my son here since he was 9 weeks old and he is now six months and he loves. We both love it. Marlene and Alieda treat him like their own and whenever I stop by, the babies are always happy and calm. I have precious artwork from here that I will treasure forever. It is definitely not a corporate center and you cannot sign on to a webcam and watch what they are doing every minute but it is an open door policy and you can pop in whenever you want. I have many times. I personally like that it's not corporate. He is receiving wonderful care and age appropriate learning with an environment that feels like home. read more

I needed to find a daycare for my 15 month old son so I decided to take a tour of this place. Had an appointment at 4:30. I just walked right in without needing to ring the door bell or enter a pin. The door was open to anyone. There was no one in the front to great me or ask what I was there for. I saw some kids playing around a staircase and thought why wasn't there a safety gate. I know my son loves to go up the stairs at home and I worry about that. When the director finally came in and showed me the tiny tiny room for my sons age group, I almost cried. It was so small I just couldn't imaging how they have 5 kids playing in there plus an adult. There were barely any toys and enrichment activities. It really broke my heart. She wouldn't even walk me around the facitlity and introduce me to the employees. The food menu was another problem I had, all junk food. I feel bad for any parent that brings their child here. It seems like the director doesn't really care. read more
