They also required full payment upfront, explaining it would be adjusted later to account for any copays or insurance coverage. When I arrived for the appointment, the receptionist immediately informed me that Eastern Roots was not in-network with United Healthcare and that I could instead submit an out-of-network claim. That was not an acceptable option, as out-of-network costs are significantly higher. It was clear the practice knew this in advance but failed to notify me until after I had driven over an hour to get there. When I requested a refund--since I was unwilling to proceed with a provider that misrepresented their insurance status--they refused, citing their 24-hour cancellation policy. However, I hadn't canceled the appointment; I arrived in good faith, expecting coverage. Only once I learned the true facts, which the clinic already knew, did I decline to continue. To make matters worse, the owner, Sarah Alemi, did not speak with me directly and instead sent an email referencing the cancellation policy. At this point, I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. I would strongly caution others to verify network participation and transparency before booking with this practice

Another is that one of my relatives who has trouble with technology had asked me to help them on retrieving their results as well. However, when inputting their name no results were found! It's been over 2 months past the appointment in which they had gone to the lab to get test done!! So then we tried called the office to ask what was going on and they just told us that it was our own responsibility to figure out the test and call it in ourselves?? How great, you write the order but can't help us retrieving it. Well thanks for nothing. I was actually able to retrieve the results after going through papers that were kept after each appointment/ order. Thank goodness these papers were saved! And the reason to why we couldn't find the result? The name was incorrect! How is the name incorrect?? They have done test here prior and received results, but this time and this test just happened to be a different name when there was no chance in the name of the ID given or the insurance card? So yes, you will need to wait if she gets tied up with another patient. The hours are usual business hours, which is generally fine. But it also means if you come down with something more urgent, there won't be evening or weekend hours. And of course, there's no in house lab, so you'll have to visit Quest or Labcorp if you need blood drawn. The location is convenient - basically at the intersection of 495 and Route 50.
