I was interested in purchasing the home and hired a home inspector to check out the home immediately following Wick's completion of the work. The home inspection report stated, and shows, this contractor had dumped trimmings from the shingles down the home's vent pipe, which created a vacuum and would not allow the sinks within the home to drain. Shortly after moving into my home on October of 2013 I contacted Wick's and asked them to remove the shingle pieces to which they said they would not because of a wasp nest within the vent. I hired a plumber to check the vent and the only thing he found were the pieces of shingles, which the plumber removed and the sinks returned to normal. In May 2014 I notified Wick's World of Wood that siding they installed had slipped and was exposing styrofoam insulation (keep in mind this was less than eight months after they completed the work), to which they responded it was the previous homeowners fault for requesting the siding to be installed at an angle, and the warranty doesn't transfer to new owners. So they refused to make repairs, again. I also pointed out to Wick's that window and door flashing they installed was not sealed, which will allow for water infiltration, and got no response from Wick's. They will not fix or repair anything they installed, only blame the previous owner. Most home owners contract out this type of work, and if any contractor were more concerned about the quality of work they do than what they can charge, they would have refused to perform the work the way the homeowner "asked" for it to be done. I have taken several photos of the poor quality of work to include where they placed their scaffolding that broke accent lights that lined the flower bed next to the home. They did a very poor job of cleaning up after themselves as well. I have found several roofing nails in the flower beds, driveway, and yard. There were also downspout hangers lying behind and below the shubs. VERY POOR QUALITY AND RESPONSE.
