When you come to this location....any location, you are entrusting your fragile minded or…read morenon-verbal child. I suggest highly that you know the signs of abuse. 60% of child abuse happens from the people we entrust our children to. 30% of child abuse happens from a family member. Your risk is considerably higher in a location that has de-escalation rooms that you cannot see what is going on with your child inside. When you have no clue when your child is being taking in or out. You can't see any camera footage of what exactly is going on with your child in that room? They say there's only two adults in there, but I can't even see. They say they do holds. What kind of holds? How do I know you're holding my child how you say you are? Too many questions, and entirely too high of a risk for any non verbal or mentally fragile child. Ask yourself how you would feel if someone exposed your disabled child to mature material without asking you first? That is exactly what happened here with my 7 year old boy. It was given as a reward, and then charted as a behavior. Document everything. Their bowels, their hair, brusing, scratches. Who do they hit automatically when they walk in there? Who do they refuse to go with? Notice who makes them flench. Who do they automatically try to elope? Do not allow staff to put your child in their lap, kiss them, or tell them they love them. Watch for pet names or someone claiming favoritism to your child. Pack drinks, lunches and snacks. Do not bring extra food in there. If they tell you to bring in food to teach independent skills, bring just what your child needs today. Do not bring enough to last the week. Monitor what comes home in that lunchbag. Monitor how much comes home, and how much they eat when they come home. If your child is in pull ups or diapers, bring your own gloves. They will not provide their employees with gloves, in turn your child will not be cleaned properly. The trash is always over flowing, and hand soap is rare. My son was taught to clean where he sat to eat with a squirt of hand sanitizer and a papertowel. Watch your child's clothing. I'm not talking about a little paint or a little marker. Watch for globs of slime stuck all over their clothes, watch for cut up clothing, and unexplainable stains. About 6 or 7 current employees will tell you they audio record a the front desk. These same employees will tell you they are to communicate over cell phones so parents with GPS units on their kids can't hear the language they use or the terrible things they are told.

This place thinks about money only and does NOT have enough help on the floors to take care of the patients. They need more help instead of sending extra help home. My family got sick of the way I was treated and contacted the state board. This place is not fit or staffed to take care of patients. The food was not fit to eat most of the time. It was so salty and the drs kept telling me to cut back on my salt intake. Even the cheese burgers didnt taste right. Only thing that was half way eatable was the cold sandwiches. The few good nurses and cna's they did have were running their legs off trying their best to take care of all the patients. I was always glad when I saw one of them come in. I knew I was going to be taken care of like a patient should be. I do not ever want to go back to this place again. In my opinion it should be closed down or the state needs to step in and order them to get more help. Most times when I needed help there had to be 2 on the lift machine. So one CNA or nurse would have to got find someone before I was take care of. The PT and OT were kind and very helpful. But again with all the BAD this place should not be open until they staff it correctly and get better food in it. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is for the Good staff and like I said there was only very few of them. Maybe a half dozen out of all the staff. This is not counting any of the help that came in once in a while. Why not have them come in as employees all the time to help out???? Dont go here if you have a choice. I was not given a choice. I was just told I was being transfered from the hospital to a rehap to help me get back on my feet.

They also lost an expensive wheel chair pad after 4 days of it being in the facility and of course nobody knew where it was or what happened to it. If you want to receive subpar care come here, you will not be disappointed.
