We were very pleased with this! Our guide was Sami and she was awesome! Everything was smooth. She was very knowledgeable. Our stops were the Acme Feed & Seed and had ribs with Mac and cheese, collard greens and coleslaw, next we went to Merchants, which was definitely my kind of place. They gave us wings, popcorn and these delicious deviled eggs and a locally made beer. Next we went to Cerveza Jacks. They had live music and served us an amazing strawberry lemonade cocktail. It was my favorite. We also got a Nashville hot chicken taco. Then we went next door to Mike's ice cream and had the vanilla with fudge chunk ice cream. So good. Then we went across the way to Praline's by Leon. We were given a salted caramel and a whiskey infused praline. Both were good. BUT, the pralines at Savannah candy kitchen are better (sorry). Last we went to Standard Proof Whiskey company to finish the tour with cocktails. My husband had the coffee whiskey old fashioned and I had the wildflower rye cocktail. Only one improv to recommend. To make individual portions for the number of people attending instead of group shared plates. Personally I don't want people I don't know touching my food. It's also harder to divide everything fairly.

It so happens that Erin was our driver/tour guide again as I got a text from her the day before. Unfortunately, the day the trip, Ray turn out to be our guide but Erin was still our driver. It worked out great! We got two for the price of one. Erin mainly drove but did chat here and there on the trip. Ray was very knowledgable on so many topics! He did a great job entertaining us on the ride. Ray was also very thoughtful and considerate of everyone in the van. He made sure we were always hydrated with water and the temperature in the van wasn't too cold. The worst part of the trip was the rain. When we stopped for lunch, Ray and Erin provided us with ponchos just in case. We end up not needing them. When we got to Jack Daniels, both of them were adamant that we should take the ponchos just in case. As it turns out, it down poured right at the start of the tour. I mean as soon as you walk out those doors to take pics and then board the bus, it came down hard!! Thankfully we were able to throw on our ponchos! Thanks again Erin and Ray for making my 2nd trip with Mint Julep fantastic! Hopefully I can tour with you again in the future!

This review is for the Franklin, TN location…read more After booking my trip to Franklin, I researched options and chose Ghost City Tours based on its reputation and positive reviews. The evening started poorly due to unclear, misleading directions for the meeting location. Thankfully, customer service was excellent--I reached a patient, helpful representative who stayed on the phone until we found our guide. My kid and I eventually met up with the guide, arriving about 15 minutes late due to the confusion. Fortunately, we were the only participants. The guide was polite, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Franklin's history. However, the delivery felt inexperienced. While the stories were interesting, the lack of engaging storytelling and theatricality made them less compelling. I paid about $65 for the two of us, and the experience felt like it was led by someone still developing their presentation skills. During the tour, we learned Ghost City Tours had only begun operating in Franklin in May 2026--just two months before our July visit--which explains the lack of polish. I wish the company well as it establishes itself, but there are clear areas for improvement, especially with meeting instructions and guide training. If I return to Franklin, I would likely try a different ghost tour company.

During the tour we walked several blocks downtown. I was a bit underwhelmed by the stories except for the one about Skulls rainbow room and an air bnb where someone committed suicide.
