I throughly researched the STT area for an mani/pedi experience to share,
with my family, that boasted and advertised an inviting and clean environment. First, when we arrived there was no parking; so we had to park a quarter mile away. Second, when we came in there was no greeter; so we were just standing in the aisle of the establishment trying figure out where to sit, where to stand, who to talk to, and the services provided. Third, the price displayed on the website and hanging in the store are two different prices. After finally gaining some assistance I paid for mine and my families services. I sat down last to finally revel and relax in the experience I had chosen for us. I requested a regular pedicure for myself, and asked for white nail polish for the end of my service, as it came with it. Ending my experience there, I tip 20$ for my order and 10$ for my families order. We walk out to walk the quarter mile back to parking, but in the first .1 mile I notice what appeared to be an angry Asian woman screaming while running in our direction. I look in front of me to see who she must be chasing so furiously, and notice there is no one in our wake. I pause my motion and turn in her general direction waiting on her to reach me. When she finally does, she opens her mouth to say I owed her 5$'s. Amused that she went through such extreme lengths to abandon her customer to recover such a remedial amount of money, I asked her what it was for. She asserts that HER tech used gel white nail polish instead of the standard white, and for their mistake, I was being charged to inconvenience me. I paid 150$ for three people, 30$ in tips, and was humiliated after leaving the store. The one star is for the nail tech. Must be such awful conditions to work in.... update, went back to the establishment and spoke with the owners to explain how they made us feel after the incident and the owner sincerely apologized after a long time customer explained to them how they treated us. Will give a 3 star for them being humble, understanding and seeking to make a resolution. read more
