This project occurred in December 2023, and I am just now getting to writing a review, which I…read morewanted to do since then, and even more so, having spoken to Anthony Buckley, Owner of Central Oklahoma Handy-Hand Services, a couple of times this year in 2024. He deserves a review and an excellent one for his work on our rental home. It was cold, of course, given the month of our plumbing issue; our tenant called with backup problems,so we called a couple of plumbers. They wanted $4,000 to dig up and repair the plumbing pipe, which they said was Orangeburg, plus we would need to cover the cost of replacing the fence. They said they would need to come down on top of being called back to reclean the line 2 weeks earlier. So, we went to the Nextdoor App and asked for help getting this job done. Anthony Buckley reached out following my post on Nextdoor and came straight over with pick and shovel in hand, ready to help with the hand digging and look out for underground cablies. WOW!! He not only helped to dig out the deep plumbing line going out to the city main line by hand shoveling from the house to the backyard fence line to replace the 'cement pipe', which was NOT Orangeburg, that the plumbing company told us had collapsed, creating the plumbing issues. We found a connection that dipped at the connection over time, and from what Anthony shared, it could have been me creating this breakage and dip where the seam was by me placing an above-ground pool on top of this line in this exact spot some years ago. Anywho, this dip allowed the pooling of the water/tissue. Therefore, every so often, I had to have this pipe cleaned out by the same plumbers who always said it's tree roots - WHEN it was a dip breaking the concrete connection, pooling water/tissue that needed to be repaired by lifting the pipe. Since we started digging and ran the camera down the drain to find this so called collaps and saw what the issue really was, we decided to remove the cement piping and replace it since we had almost reached the pipe. Plus had this massive dig started with the machine we had already rented that could only go down so deep. Anthony was to finish digging down to the pipe. My husband and I went to grab lunch, and when we returned, he was not only finished with the dig but also had pulled up the cement pipe by himself and started laying out the PVC piping we had purchased. WOWED Us Again. Such a professional young man who went above and beyond and also helped cover up most of it before he left when he was only to do the hand-digging for us! We give him a bonus for the additional work, which was appreciated. I highly recommend Anthonly for any project you need regarding handly man work. He can do almost anything, from speaking with him about other skilled work he has done. I'm not related to Anthony, and we do not employ him, but I respect him for his hard-working ability, knowledge, integrity, and skills. ***** You might find more reviews on the Nextdoor app or other apps, but if you need help with small or large jobs, call Anthony at 405-589-6568. PS: We did rent this small excavator digger in the photo, and the man in the photo is my husband deciding where to add another cleanout. I wish I had captured more pictures showing Anthonly's work.

Five stars is not really enough to get across how happy we are with his work. Earlier this summer, we found ourselves in a position no one wants to be in: dealing with an unexpected family loss. Compounding this situation was the fact that it occurred in a city that was not our own. Moving forward from this experience was going to be hard enough, but it also came with some pretty substantial home repair/renovation projects that needed to be done ASAP. Doing so in a town that is not our residence, and with contractors with whom we were not familiar, made it even more challenging. Through Yelp, we took a chance on finding a contractor to do a test run with a small but time-sensitive project, and Joshua came through with a really great bid and personal touch. His communication was exceptional, and his personality stood out in both in our online communication and again when we met in person. Most importantly, the care and commitment he brought to even this small project, plus the humanity and empathy he showed us during a really difficult time, made all the difference. We relayed to him the scope of the home repairs needed going forward, and asked if they were within his comfort zone. When he responded positively, we told him he was our go-to guy for every project needed on that house, and that we trusted him implicitly to do the work independently. He didn't let us down. He sent photos of his progress and gave us honest appraisals of what could be done, and what prices would be for labor and materials. He worked on a tight timeline and got the work done on time and on budget. Moreover, the quality of the work that he did approaches the level of artisan, not just contractor, to the point where I'd employ him for our own home projects if it was at all possible (it's not, sadly). I don't know what else I can say to relay our impressions of Joshua. He's the best contractor I've ever worked with, and I wish him nothing but success in the future. If you get a chance to work with him on a home project, consider yourself fortunate.

Very nice guy who does good work. However, he is extremely unreliable…read more I had him here for almost a month doing a large job. Many days he did not come until late morning or afternoon and his assistant did the same or did not show at all. I would have to check to see what was going on and then would get some excuse for why they were late or not coming. Morgan often wanted to stay late into the evenings or work on the weekends in order to put in a full week's work, which was problematic when my family was home and under foot. Due to Morgan and his assistant not working full days and missing several days, project completion took longer than necessary and my entry, kitchen and surrounding areas were taped off and unusable for far longer than I anticipated based upon the work that was performed. Several items were left undone after being paid in full (forgot to paint a section of the ceiling, did not replace all floor boards after replacing tile, etc.) and he promised to come back three different times, then never showed or notified me he was not coming as promised. Ultimately he stopped responding to my texts/calls and I had to hire someone else to complete the work that he left unfinished, but was paid for. Morgan seemed to have cash flow problems and asked that I pay him for partial work completed at intervals during the work, and I did so promptly as requested, although this was not agreed upon at the beginning of the project. He was unfamiliar with insurance claim processes and needed guidance through this process. He did not file insurance paperwork promptly and I had to remind him several times before he did, which further delayed insurance approvals. I had to purchase all materials myself and ended up having to take off work on two occasions in order to purchase items he needed immediately to avoid further delays. He did not have all the equipment needed to complete the work and rather than planning ahead for work to be done that day, he often took time away from the work to rent equipment, pick up a different vehicle, etc. Bottom line is that he did good work, but his project management skills, work ethic, professionalism and character were below average.

Never called us back after repeated phone calls from us. Maybe something personal happened? In any case he left us hanging. A simple phone call or text would have been helpful either way.
