Very unpleasant experience with a front desk staff member…read more He touched my personal belongings without permission, which is completely inappropriate. When I asked who he was, he replied "it doesn't matter" instead of properly identifying himself. Later he gave an unclear name (Anton/Anthony) and claimed to be a manager. Instead of apologizing, he spoke in a rude and disrespectful manner. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. People come to the gym to focus and feel comfortable, not to deal with this kind of attitude. I hope management addresses this.

Recently, they introduced a new "app-only" entry policy, which makes it impossible for me to use the services I already paid for. I use a push-button phone and deliberately avoid installing third-party apps for security reasons (I work in crypto). This practice is not just unfair it may violate Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, which prohibits "unfair or deceptive acts or practices." Changing contract terms after signing, without consent, is deceptive. On top of that, Blink Fitness only allows cancellation through the same app. This likely violates state consumer protection laws (for example, California's Automatic Renewal Law, Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §17600, requires a "reasonable and accessible" method of cancellation). Restricting cancellation to an app-only option fails this test. In effect, Blink Fitness is blocking clients from both using and cancelling their memberships: which could also be considered a breach of contract. And when I raised this issue publicly, Blink deleted my comment instead of addressing it. That alone shows how they handle negative feedback. Consumers deserve transparency and fair treatment. If Blink can change the rules once, they can do it again - leaving you locked out of services you've paid for. Absolutely terrible experience with PureGym/Blink…read more I ended up spending over $400 in only about 5 months between monthly payments, annual fees, cancellation fees, and even collections. At one point they already sent me to collections and I had to pay around $120 just to resolve it. The customer support is awful. There is basically no real support inside the gym, and online support is email-only. They take forever to respond and often just send automated payment links instead of actually helping. The gym itself often smells bad, especially like sweaty socks, and there are barely any employees around who can actually assist members. The biggest issue is how they handle memberships and contracts. They advertise cheap monthly prices, but they do not clearly explain: the 12-month contract commitment, the annual maintenance fee, or the fact that cancelling early requires paying a $62 buyout fee. A lot of younger people and students sign up without fully understanding what they are agreeing to because these important details are buried in fine print and checkbox agreements. Even after I paid the cancellation fee, their system kept asking me to pay again. This has honestly been one of the most frustrating gym membership experiences I've ever had.

I made the mistake of rejoining this club for a yearly membership last month ago even though my…read moremembership was not over yet. The petty monitors at the front will screech @ you and beg you to rejoin months before your time is up. Yes they are that desperate and pathetic. Due to a number of reasons, I would like a full refund. I will no longer be attending Dolphin Fitness for my workouts. I am no longer comfortable working out there and each year I find my workouts at this club less and less enjoyable. My decision is based on a number of reasons. 1. I am tired of dealing with the minefield of overly crowded equipment on the workout floor from Dolphin's other previously closed down clubs. It's not only an eyesore but it's also probably a fire hazard and increasingly more dangerous. My bruised up shins are the proof. 2. The men's locker room is just as filthy, gross, unappealing and inconvenient as it's always been there are always gnats flying all over the one urinal in the entire gym. It's tiny, crammed and uncomfortable. Given the fact that it hasn't changed at all in the 15 years that I've been a member, other than a couple of new lightbulbs that have recently been installed. Bravo. 3. The consistently abysmal attitude from half of the cleaning staff is annoying. I shouldn't pay to deal with attitudes from miserable people. 4. The increasingly inept decision making from the management is concerning. There have also been more and more instances of management siding with increasingly troublemaking personal trainers who are always starting fights with members over equipment. The gym is overcrowded and inconvenient but the management will always side with the trainers because it brings money to the club. 5. Dolphin fitness clubs is clearly a dying brand. All other DF clubs are closed down, probably for good reason. This last ditch effort to renovate the last DFC to try to make it look like something other than an old bowling alley with decades old weight equipment strewn all over the floor is laughable. They will most likely be out of business entirely soon as all their other locations are long gone. You really take your chances joining. Stay far away from this garbage club. There are plenty of options better than this terrible establishment.

The class is broken up into 3 equal parts, treadmill, row, and strength training. Which station you start will vary but they are 20 minutes each (90 minute class is 30 minutes each station). This is also displayed on screens in the class so that you can monitor you progress during the class. The instructors are all very friendly and ready to help. The classes are not cheap but they have class packages and memberships that'll bring down the per class price. It's great for the person that wants to workout but is not sure what to do in the gym. If I could give negative stars (-10), I would. Even two…read moreyears after leaving this school, I am still filled with indignation. During a Zoom class, an instructor started making hateful, xenophobic remarks about nationalities and politics, completely ignoring the fact that Russian students were present. People started dropping out of the call one by one out of disgust, and I quietly closed the window and never came back. Months later, they even had the audacity to call me to ask why I stopped attending. When I told them directly about their teacher's unacceptable behavior and total lack of professional ethics, it was clear they cared little about it, since they still keep such a toxic person on staff. A school should be a safe space for learning, not a platform for bigotry. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place.

It's honestly the best gym in Bensonhurst, but there's only so many gyms in Bensonhurst…read more It's without a doubt huge. Roughly a dozen treadmills, a handful of stair machines, multiple bikes, and a huge floor dedicated to resistance training. Not to mention 2 courts for racketball, wallball, or tennis. Unfortunately, as it is the best gym in Bensonhurst, it attracts people by droves. With no guidance of safety in the parking lot, all common sense is lost. People park where there is space, but no lines. I once pulled up next to someone who was already waiting to get a spot and he yelled at me because he thought I was stealing his space. I was honestly just not trying to have the but in my car in traffic, blocking people and risking an accident. The stairs are tight and people don't express courtesy. Despite having 6 squat racks and 2 smith machines, if you go here in the evening, they're all filled. It seemed like the instructor didn't want to be there. I was never even checked into class, I just walked in and took a seat. If I didn't pay, would they have even noticed? Don't think so. Music only played for less than half the time. It was very inconsistent. A song would play, then there'd be 7 minutes of silence, and another song would play. So weird. You're either going to have music or not. Usually when I do Pilates everybody is amped and energetic. I didn't get that vibe this time. Also, my class was the first of the day. I stood outside a locked studio until about 3 minutes before the class was supposed to start. That's barely enough time to get my socks on, get a reformer, and begin. Wouldn't come back here.
