All they do is follow customers around the store and get upset if you pick up anything to look at.

I would shop here a lot more often if a lot of products weren't so overpriced. The product selection is 4 1/2 stars, they have almost every brand you can think of from shampoo to nailpolish. On the other hand, it is very hard to find anything, because they have so many products, everything is so crammed. Another thing that really makes me avoid this place is that the staff is so rude everytime I go in,(the main reason why my rating is 2 stars) if they are not stocking the shelves they are standing around the register talking, and when you approach them to ask a question or check out, they are so annoyed that you interrupted their conversation. *You can shop anywhere for the products they carry, it does make it more convenient to be able to find everything in one place, but the customer service is a huge deterrent, so I suggest just get what you need and go. I honestly think they feel like it doesn't matter how they treat customers because they will still have people come in and buy from their store. Even the owners can't lead by example because they are the same if not worse. Overall: Horrible customer service but wide selection of beauty products that are hard to find in just one place. Be prepared to pay more than expected on a number of products! read more

I just called to get a price on products before making the drive from Moorpark to Simi Valley. The lady who answered said they don't give pricing over the phone. Bad business practices for your neighboring customers who are dealing with high gas prices! read more

This was my text today.... "Dad, I'm out of shampoo. Can you pick some up for me" Sure love, what kind? "I never look at the bottle, I just put it on" With those parameters, I spotted Pro Beauty after a meeting and ventured on in. Thinking I was smart, walked up and down each aisle twice thinking I would recognize it. To hell with that.....asked for help, they directed me to a shampoo, told me if she didn't like it we could bring it back within 7 days, rang me up and got me on my way! Prices were not eBay cheap but service was friendly, store was organized to the point where I could figure out where to look and lots of parking. read more

I was expecting a "professional" supply store and this place is dirty and terribly unorganized. The staff are okay, but the day I was in not very pleasant. All in all, I do not trust a place that has too much product to fit on the shelves, is unorganized and is not clean. It is too hard to find what I am looking for. Very overpriced as well. read more

I have gone to Pro Beauty for years when I need. I used to like going there. They had nearly everything and it was bright and clean. I have watched it deteriorate. it s no longer clean like it used to be. Their staff is hit and miss. Some are nice and helpful, Some try to help but just do not have the proper knowledge to help. For Instance, I went in there the other day for some product to lighten my hair, they hooked me up with developer, and activator but no lightener. Some of their staff has an attitude that you are putting them out. They also are hit and miss with products. How can a beauty supply have hair color products but no brushes to apply it with? They had a total of 3 brushes tossed in a tray when I went in. There were 2 straight brushes and 1 angled brush with bent bristles. How can you apply product decently with bent bristles?. I don't know if they changed owners or the owners are just no longer as involved, but I know I will not be shopping there as often any longer. read more

only reason I'm giving one less star is because of the prices (a tad steep for certain brands) but everything else is great. Huge selection of just about everything you need from a beauty supply store. Tons of makeup, high end hair care, good dyes, wigs, skincare, etc. not to mention this place has been here since I can remember, it's definitely an important place in the simi community! the employees always seem friendly, very eager to help, never on their phones or chit chatting with other employees. :) read more

You think when you go into a beauty supply you trust their advice on how to do hair coloring. Well today I learned my lesson. The girl tells me to get 20 developer when I am going darker. She told me the 20 would make my hair darker and I would get results. too bad she DESTROYED my hair with her advice and I look like a mess! 20 Developer is when you are going lighter not depositing darker color! They should hire people who either know what they are talking about or just dont give advice on certain things. read more

I love this store! They have almost every product you can think of.The girls I've interacted with are pretty knowledgeable and always steer me into the right direction. To Beach B. , as far as I know 30 and 40 volume developers are used for going lighter and lifting color. 20 is if you are going dark or staying the same color and 10 is just for depositing color. Results can't be guaranteed if not done by someone with experience. read more

I always come here for my hair dye and lashes. They have a nice variety of brands and colors. The prices are good and I love love love the choices of lashes! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly they always help me with my hair. It's a nice big place. I will continue to make this my go to place for my beauty products. :) read more

This place always has what Im looking for in haircare. They have a great selection of high end brands and more affordable options (they dont sell Bumble and Bumble fyi). Their staff is always willing to help you find whatever it is you might be looking for. You may think this store has everything you need but when they run out of stock of hair color which is frequently they will sell you what ever they have whether it works of not and when you call to say the substitute didn't cover the grey like the original color did they will tell you,"No refunds on any haircolor." Won't be wasting my money on this store again!!!!! read more

Love Pro Beauty! I get all of my make-up and hair products here. There some pros and cons. Many more pros than cons. Negative aspect is that they are sometimes a bit over priced. However, I have found that they are cheaper than buying the products from my hair salon. Lots of pros! For one, they have almost every product imaginable and if they don't, they can most likely order it for me. They also always offer samples whenever I purchase something. This is a major pro because I am always afraid to buy something without having tried it first. They have 4 baskets full of false eyelashes so it's nice to be able to have a variety to choose from. I am always happy when I leave this store and I don't know any other beauty supplies that carry this many products! read more

I spent $365 on two sets of clip on long hair extensions. I asked a lot of questions about them and were told they were the best. I had them put in by a hair dresser the next day. When I took them out that same day, the clips that are sewn into the top of the hair piece had actually loosened and the thread was almost all the way unraveled with the clips halfway hanging off. Aside from this, the hair also SHED AND GOT TANGELED, which the box clearly states it is not supposed to do. It says non-tangle and no shedding. I ended up taking them back to the manager the next day. She examined them and then tells me that she can only take them back for store credit. ALL their stuff is store credit only. Hair pieces and extensions are ALWAYS final sale but I guess because they were damaged she would give me store credit. NO, I want my money back, which is what I told her. I was given defective, crappy, cheap hair extensions. Besides this, I'm out $365 and now I would have to use that as a store credit? To buy what, shampoo and conditioner for a small country? And I don't want to buy another type of hair extensions there, that's all they had. I told her it's the company's fault who sold them to her and they should refund HER so SHE can refund ME. She called the company and they said they would take them back, but that she would still only give me store credit. I said too late, I disputed with my credit card company. NEVER shop at stores that only offer you store credit or final sale and they can't even stand behind the products they sell!!!! read more
