On our return from STL airport we had an issue with our car. After trying unsuccessfully to fix it, Dave decided to just pull into this business for help. All workers were at lunch but the company owner was there and volunteered to fix our repair. He was fast and we were on the road in no time. They did not charge us anything! I hate to disparage a local business and they do seem to be nice. But nice didn't help me with a very costly and time consuming visit (3 months!) which left my car's main engine issue still not resolved and the car started dying on me after getting it back. They are probably good for routine maintenance but pulling an engine to do major work is apparently out of their wheel house. read more

Mike the owner helped out. Came in at 430 pm,not realizing they close at 5. He looked at my tire and said you have a drywall screw in sidewall. Cant fix but can replace tire. I left cause no time to repair , but appreciate free advice. Dropped my car of fire a complete diagnostic of 160 for my engine making a tapping sound, was told the car had no compression on cylinders 3 and needed a new engine at $3300.00. Took my car to another mechanic and he reported the car at $950.00 by fixing the rocker arms. Ask for a refund from Pro Automotive and they refused stating, it was an internal part And they don't work on them that way and just replace engines..so take your vehicle to a Professional Shop and get them to give you a right Diagnostics. read more

The a/c in my car wasn't working and it was the usual hot, humid nightmare it can be here in summer. I took my car to Pro Automotive because I knew I could trust them. They did not disappoint! They had my a/c working perfectly lickety split! I really lucked out finding this place! They are courteous and pleasant and their work is quick and on-the-money.... No left over problems. Pro Automotive is AMAZING. They do great work at reasonable prices. I've been taking my cars to them for years for just about anything that makes a funny sound or anything that makes the check engine light come on. They always come back with the honest answer. Here's an example. I bought a used car and the A/C made a funny sound. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was the blower. They wouldn't cover it under warranty, but offered to fix it for me and gave me an estimate. I took it to Pro Automotive for a second opinion, and their price to replace the blower was much better. Turns out the blower was fine, just filled with acorns. (Acorns!?!?) They fixed it for a small fraction of the original estimate. They could have just replaced the blower and I'd never have known, but they were honest. Even though it cost them some money. This is the kind of place I'd feel comfortable sending my kids, my wife, or my parents. Taking your car to the shop can be scary. It's hard to find a mechanic that you can completely trust and feel confident they they're always going to do right by you. This is that mechanic. read more
