The owner is easy to work with and very fair. From what I see they do great work on repairs.

North town was unwilling to correct the issue. Very pleased with the truck otherwise but very, very po'd they can't put the correct tires on for the price I paid for the truck. Now I have to dish out another 1200 bucks to put the right tires on a forty thousand dollar truck I just purchased so the speedo and other gouges work correctly! Ron Schulz Tabor, Sd

Warning to International Buyers - Extremely Unreliable Dealership!!…read moreAfter lengthy communication and signing a valid purchase agreement for a car from this dealership, the entire buying process became a farce. Although we had agreed on a wire transfer, the payment was supposedly rejected by the dealer's bank due to "transfer fraud." When I suggested alternative and secure payment methods like Western Union or a check upon pickup, they were rejected without a plausible reason. Suddenly, they insisted on cash payment--an unusual and risky demand for an international transaction of this kind. The communication was also extremely slow, which made the matter even more difficult. After investing a lot of time, effort, and money to complete this purchase, I am reluctantly withdrawing from the deal. I can only strongly advise any foreign buyers to stay away from this dealer. In all the years I've imported cars from the U.S., I have never encountered such an unprofessional way of doing business. If it were possible, I would give negative stars.

Perhaps the quickest way to throw your money away…read more Bobby Williamson runs Bobby's auto repair service out of his house on 8th street. It's the house will all the garbage & junk vehicles scattered around the yard. That should clue yAll the tools haphazardly scattered around his yard should be another warning sign. I was in need of repairs on my car, and was having problems finding another repair shop that would do the work, so I contacted Bobby. Bob asked me for $200 so he could get the necessary parts, which was another warning (any reputable shop will have a credit account with parts houses and won't ask customers for money up front). Bobby was supposed to show up at my house the next day to tow my car to his place to do the repairs, but he never showed. All this nonsense made me ever-more nervous, so I visited Bobby at his house, asked him if he had bought the parts yet, which he hadn't. So I asked if I could have my money back and cancel the repair. Bobby said that was no problem, but said he didn't have the $200 (he spent it on something else, do a google search on his background and you may get an idea what he spent that money on). Bobby said he'd get me that money later that day. That never happened. Bobby then promised the same thing every single day for the next week-and-a-half. But he never came through with that money. I even visited Bobby on several occasions at his place and pleaded for that money back. It never happened. Bobby finally told me he was waiting to sell some of the junk in his yard to get money to refund me my money. That never happened. I started asking numerous people around town about Bobby, and was warned by most all of them of his background and his lack of ethics & professionalism. Contacting Bobby Williamson and then giving him money are two of my biggest regrets. Beware Bobby's auto repair service! I can't stress that enough.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP…read more When I first test drove the car, the check engine light was already on. Their mechanic did not know how to use the diagnostic tool, brushed me off, and later told me vaguely it was "just a sensor" that would be fixed. I asked for documentation such as a service slip or a photo of the dashboard once it was repaired, but I never received anything. On the day of the sale they told me over the phone the light was off, but when I drove off the lot it was still on. I was in a hurry and they knew it. They stalled me, rushed me through the paperwork, and took advantage of the situation. This dealership buys cheap cars at auction, acts overly nice to gain trust, then sells them for high prices while hiding problems. They are too cheap to fix the cars themselves because that would cut into their profit. Instead, they leave the issues and want you or the warranty company to pay for repairs. When I contacted them after the sale, they told me to just bring it back since it was "covered by warranty," but that misses the point. A car with a check engine light on should not be sold in the first place, and a professional dealer would have offered goodwill repair instead of pushing it off. I also had the car checked out by another mechanic who said the tires were so worn down they should have been replaced before the car was sold. They did not even bother to remove an old State Farm tracking device that was still stuck on the windshield from the previous owner. That shows exactly how little effort goes into these cars before they sell them. The overall rating is misleading because it mixes in their auto shop. If you look only at the dealer reviews, you will see the same story repeated: check engine lights, blown engines, hidden rust, false advertising, excuses, and cars breaking down right after purchase. My experience was not unique. It was just the next one in the pattern. If they are willing to sell a car with the check engine light glowing, unsafe tires, and a mechanic who could not even use the diagnostic tool, that tells you everything. Fake smiles. Fake promises. No accountability. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

I was a fool to buy a car from Berg Auto Mall and I count it as one of my top 3 biggest mistakes in…read moremy life. If you feel like testing the fates and buying a vehicle here, make sure you bring your tools or take it to a mechanic to take the damn engine apart. They said there was nothing wrong with the Vue. CLEARLY they did not inspect it at all after purchasing it from an auction. In fact, this car had been to auction 3 times and I failed to do a VIN search to find that out until it was too late. My husband, who's stepdad was a mechanic and knows enough about cars himself, checked out the car and test drove it. What we didn't do was have the engine completely inspected. There were no codes or check engine light to alert us that anything was wrong, and we soon figured out it was because they had erased the codes prior to the sale. Not even 20 minutes after we left the dealership, the dashboard lit up. I should've just taken it back then and saved myself $2400. The timing chain had to be replaced along with some other stuff and our mechanic discovered the oil was caked on the inside of the engine in a way that suggested severe neglect. The owner was difficult to deal with and never once talked to us directly. They said we could trade it in and pay the difference or pay for repairs at a discount. As you can see from other reviews, Berg's prices are ridiculous and frankly they were so shady and dishonest with us that we didn't feel like giving them any more of our money. We got a friend of a friend discount with a mechanic nearby, otherwise we would've been out of a lot more money on this piece of junk. I worked 90 hours of overtime over 5 months to pay for these repairs. Just know that if you go here, you're almost certainly buying an auction car and the codes will have been cleared as well as any other rig job to make it look nice.
