Last week, my car's low pressure sensor went off so I dropped in for a walk in. Jared helped with free tire rotation and air refill from 29 back up to 32. He noticed my wipers needed replacement and they were able to get it done in the same go without me having to come back. This week, I found a nail in my tire so I dropped in at 8 right at opening. Jared remembered my car and helped get the tire patched at no cost. Jared was very professional both visits and I'll definitely be back. He also noticed when there was someone who came in and was waiting for 5 mins and so he called over someone else to assist them. Despite most places having the morning flood of people in line, he ensured there was no line of people standing waiting. They help you fast here!

America's Tire generally feels like a good place to purchase tires. However, based on my…read moreexperience, they need stronger technical training when it comes to alignment work. Since they're relatively new to offering alignments, I would recommend caution when using this service. We brought a vehicle in for an alignment check while purchasing new tires. The initial "before" measurements showed both front wheels at +0.15° to the right, with a steer-ahead of +0.14 to the right°. This flagged red on the machine, but every other specification, including total tie was fully within spec. For those less familiar with alignments: a condition like this typically points to one of two things, either the steering wheel is slightly off-center, or the alignment machine was not properly set up. In this case, I knew the steering wheel was centered prior to the visit. While that alone doesn't guarantee a perfect alignment, we had no drivability issues and were simply being proactive to protect our new tires. Despite this, they proceeded to perform and charge for an alignment adjustment that was not necessary. When I reviewed the printout, I explained to both the service advisor and the manager, Nick, that the adjustment wasn't justified. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, Nick engaged in a prolonged and public argument. His main position was essentially: "You trusted us to do the alignment, so why question it now?", which he repeated multiple times. This approach was unprofessional and dismissive of a legitimate technical discussion. Eventually, Nick agreed to issue a refund. He never acknowledged their error. He fully stated that that he recommends next time I stay on site for several hours next time so that I can watch them do the alignment in the open bays. After leaving the shop, the steering wheel was no longer centered. They effectively introduced the issue they were claiming to have fixed. What was particularly concerning was Nick's misunderstanding of how alignment systems actually work. While the machines themselves are precise, they still rely on proper setup and human input, especially when centering the steering wheel. The process involves visually aligning the wheel and locking it in place, which leaves room for error. To put it into perspective: they claimed the steering wheel was corrected by 0.1°. That level of deviation is nearly impossible to detect visually and would not cause tire wear. In other words, the "problem" they "corrected" was negligible, but the result was a steering wheel that was now visibly off-center. The most frustrating part of the experience was spending 15 +minutes debating with someone, Nick, who did not fully understand the system, yet was completely confident in arguing about it in front of customers. When I realized that he lacked the experience. I tried to explain to him my technical background 20 + years in the industry and I'm an industry educator. He dismissed my sharing, my technical background with him simply by stating well why didn't I just take care of the alignment then? It's actually could've been a really good moment for Nick to learn something valuable. About how alignment machine machines work and be about customer service. But now I will share my experience here. Overall: good place for tires, but I would think twice before trusting them with alignment work at this time.

As fate would have it, I took the car to the dealership for a recall and they discovered that one of the tires had a small bubble. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate almost two years with the car by treating her to some new tires. I reached out to Chris who quoted me $1,200 (including manufacture warranty) for four thick profiled performance tires, which was $1,300 cheaper than the quote that I received from the dealer. Chris quickly placed the order for the tires and called me the next day to inform me that they had arrived. Since the establishment is generally very busy on the weekends, I decided to visit on a weekday in hopes for a quicker experience. Thankfully, there was only one car ahead of me when I arrived. Chris instructed me to pull the car into the shop and immediately began removing the tires (I'm always impressed by a hands-on owner). Less than 30 minutes later, the job was done and I was in the office checking out. As Chris implied, I can confirm that the ride quality of my car has significantly improved. I have been a customer for seven years and have referred many friends and family to the shop. If you're looking for competitive prices and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend visiting South West Tire Shop!

Honest Mechanic Alert…read more As someone who has written plenty of Yelp reviews over the years, I don't throw around praise lightly--but this shop absolutely deserves it. My entire family brings our vehicles here, and for good reason. If you can, ask for Ali. He's handled everything for us, from routine maintenance to larger repairs, and the work has consistently been solid and reliable. For context, this shop is essentially maintaining a fleet of vehicles for our family business, and they've earned that trust through honest assessments and fair pricing. I also know my way around a vehicle, so I can tell when someone is being straightforward versus trying to upsell--and I've never had that issue here. Yes, the current economy means car repairs everywhere feel a bit more expensive than they used to. But what you're paying for here is transparency, quality work, and excellent customer service--and that's hard to beat. If you're looking for a mechanic you can actually trust, this place is worth checking out.

I should mention that these particular wheels require an inner tube, unlike some of the newer styles with different spoke placement. Balancing also requires a finger-style adapter for the balancing machine, something that I had only seen one example of in my many previous interviews with other tire shops. My initial contact was with Tony who must be the manager. When I first listed all the requirements presented to me by the wheel manufacturer and showed him an old (damaged) wheel, Tony didn't think they had the correct adapter, at least the way I was describing it. After discussing it for a couple more minutes with him agreeing that he could do the job if only he had the proper finger-style adapter, he said good-bye and I prepared to drive away. But before I could drive off, Tony was tapping on my side window with the proper adapter in his other hand. He had one of his technicians with him and we all agreed that it appeared that Radial Tire could do the proper job. I told him that I would return the next day with all the tires and wheels. When I returned the next day, Tony was joined by Kirby, the owner of that location plus two or three technicians. Kirby's main concern was that the finger-style balancing adapter fit properly. As it turned out, we hadn't really looked very closely at the fit of the adapter the previous day, and, sure enough, the fingers were just a tiny bit too short to seat properly. Needless to say I was very disappointed. But once again and without saying much, Tony retreated to the office and found a set of longer fingers for the adapter that did the trick. If it hadn't been for Tony, I'm not sure if the problem would have been resolved. So we proceeded to unload everything and I handed Tony my list of what they were to do as specified by the wheel manufacturer. By the time we completed the paperwork, it looked like half the shop personnel was hovering around the tire mounting machine with the main technician reciting the list of do's and don't's that we had discussed. This struck me as about as close to TLC for these tires and wheels as I could hope for at any tire shop. I must have interviewed a dozen shops based on recommendations from a few of my classic car hobby friends before I stopped by Radial Tire Center. This is a professional and competent organization that I will be happy to patronize again in the future.
