My…read morepoor parents have had to endure the poor business practices of this CPA for the last few years until I stepped in to help and clean up his GIANT mess. We found out that he didn't do their taxes correctly and also didn't submit them to the IRS. As a result they owed over $2k in penalties. He decides when to answer his phone and his wife changed her number. He put an extension on their taxes when they didn't need it - it was all his doing and negligence that he said he needed an extension and let it go past the extension then lies about what the actual allowed extension timing for the IRS was. We are going to have to take legal action as $2k to pay for someone else's lies and elderly abuse is not ok. My parents taxes are as SIMPLE as they come and for him to do this to them is unforgivable. Take your tax needs elsewhere. You've been warned.

I was selling a rental property I owned by myself and one that I owned with a partner.  I paid a…read morelot in taxes last year so I was looking to make some changes to my tax strategy.  I talked to a few accounting firms, but finally settled on Karla Dennis & Associates.  I have seen Karla speak at Trade shows and on television so I felt confident in my decision.  I signed the engagement agreement, and I completed the very detailed questionaire.   To date, I've had 3 calls.  The first call was really informative.  Karla walked me through my tax returns from the previous year.  The second call included consultation on a sale and 1031 exchange I was conducting.  We also went through "what if" scenarios.  During the 3rd call, my tax strategy was outlined and the savings for each strategy was shared.  Each element of the plan was thoroughly explained, and I was given the flexibility to implement the strategies I wanted.  Now, I have a plan that I can reference and share when necessary.  I highly recommend this firm.

Then, after his 4th call (and me not answering for a second time), my proposal was promptly canceled by KDA without warning so I couldn't even review what was to be provided for this $5,000 bill. Super aggressive and feels very slimy. I highly encourage others to find somewhere else for tax strategy assistance. Anyone pushing this hard for me to give them my money and then remove the opportunity to review what they offered doesn't feel right.
