Wow, I am THRILLED! I tend to avoid cleaning the inside of my car because, well . . . boring, takes too long, etc. But it had been awhile (read: literal years) since I'd done anything at all to the inside of my trusty little 2009 Toyota Corolla, so it was just grimy and dusty and had dirt from the garden and leaves and whatnot. I decided to splurge on an interior detailing, and am very glad I chose Pristine. You make an appointment online (when I did so the next available was about a week and a half out, and they called to confirm and ask basic details, which I appreciated). Since I don't have pets and don't smoke, and there were no major stains, I was able to get by with Pristine's base rate for small cars ($175 at this writing; all prices on their website). I truly think this splurge was worth it--it looks *amazing*! Seats thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned, including underneath the two front seats (the guy found some things that had rolled under there from some long-ago shopping trip, LOL); carpets and floorboards now spotless; all the little console cracks and crevices spic and span. Included the trunk, too! Just FYI, the place is a little hard to see from the street--you have to pull off Forest Ave. and go between the buildings, down the long driveway to the "auto detailing" sign and their front door. Once you do you'll be greeted by the very nice young men who work there, and then leave your car with them for a few hours, and voila! There are various detailing places and I called around for estimates from a few, and I'm happy to have found this one. Highly recommend! read more

Don't waste your time and money here. I paid for the full package of an interior and exterior detail and I'm going to have to finish both myself. They didn't even try to properly wash - let alone detail - the exterior of the car, it seems they just took a hose to it and used my own windshield wipers to handle the windshield. The front especially is filthy with the tires covered in gravel still thst even has dirt sprayed up and onto the door. The interior of my car is quite dirty, literally sand on the seat, dirt stains to wipe off snd the windows either not finished or they had used a dirty rag because there are ugly streaks everywhere. I'm going to have to pay to have the exterior washed somewhere else and hand scrub the interior, I took half a dozen pictures of the intetior and emailed it back to them. read more

They were great! I called them in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in the same day! I only needed an interior clean since we were having a snowstorm the next day. I had it done as a surprise for my son, who has 2 small boys, so you can imagine the mess! Looks brand new! They also were able to restore the headlights that were extremely cloudy. Can't recommend more, this place is great. I got my front windows tinted to 35% (legal limit) and a black strip at the top of my windshield. I shopped around the Portland area to price this out, and Pristine was one of the cheaper options, with the best location. I booked the job a week in advance. Once there, the job took less time than they quoted me (they said 2 1/2, it took under 2 hours). My car looks way better than it did, and the job was done perfectly. The waiting room/lobby is pretty bare bones, but the two couches are nice, and the whole place is super clean. They have fast internet, and they let me hang out and work from my laptop while they did the job, which was super convenient. Starbucks right down the street, I walked there at one point and grabbed a coffee. If you want to hang out while they do your car, you just have to be cool with the music coming from the detailing garage on the other side of the wall, which was totally fine w/me (note that tinting is done off-site - you go the shop, they'll take your car to the location where it gets tinted and bring it back to you). Everyone was super friendly and personable and I'll definitely be going back to get the inside of my car detailed once winter is over. read more

I cannot say how thankful and awesome job they did detailing our Lexus SUV. We are new here in South Portland and we traveled thousands of miles with our dogs in the car to get here, so our car was super filthy and has tons of dog hair! Wanted to surprise my husband on his birthday with a very clean car. It wasn't filthy (no pets, no kids, no piggies ), but after a few longer trips it did need a proper cleaning. I ordered an interior cleaning. It was shiny-clean inside when I picked it up - except for one seat that looked dirtier than before. Thankfully, I could easily remove the remaining stain with carpet cleaner foam myself afterwards. Staff was polite and helpful, as was the boss on the phone. It is expensive, in my view and we did mind the pretty strong smells for days afterwards, but perhaps that is typical. Bad smell was exacerbated by the staff turning the heat on very high to dry the (fabric) seats, I assume. It surprised me that car seats are being dried by running the car for probably a long time. I was a bit turned off that the shop where the guys clean vehicles was so dirty, things strewn all over the floor. I recently took my car for an interior detailing and once I got there they told me that I requested both an interior/exterior service. I could've easily said no but the last time I had a hand wash was awhile ago so I thought why not. The exterior job was done really well, the interior was also very clean. However, I noticed that they spray the cleaning products inside the car, which is a big deal when it comes to interior detailing (you're supposed to use the spray away from the car and spray it into a brush/towel to avoid any mistakes. Some of those spray products landed on my head up display, which really irritated me. On top of that, the steering wheel was either cleaned with an oily product or was dried with a towel that had those products on them, meaning I had NO grip on the steering wheel. My speedometer and front screen also had the same treatment as my steering wheel. I cleaned the head up display and both the speedometer and front screen with dish soap and hot water because that's all you need for those parts, unless you want to add protectant to the screen but they should not have an oily look after drying up! Apart from those complaints, it was a fantastic cleaning job although there were hand prints and some of the leather products on the windshield. I do not have pictures. I got home really frustrated and cleaned them up right away. Take this review as you please, if you won't care as much as I do, you'll love their services. read more

I bought a used car in early August and brought it here to be professionally detailed. When I dropped the car off, I made it very clear to them that it had been smoked in and that the headliner was disgusting and had cigarette ashes all over it. When the called me a few hours later to pick up the car, I immediately noticed it was not clean. They had not even wiped off the headliner and there were many spots that had not been wiped down. They had even left a rag in the back seat that left a water stain in my car. When I brought these things to their attention before I left, the manager ended up looking at my car himself and seeing many places that were not clean and had the associate clean for another half hour before I left. The manager apologized and said the associate was new and agreed to refund me 50 dollars off the cost of the inconvenience. The problems really hit once I took the car home and the seats dried off and the smell of soap disappeared. You could see many water stains and the car did not even smell clean. I ended up having to go to my cousins house who has a car seat cleaner and spending 3 hours myself extracting water that was pitch black out of the seat. When I leaned the driver seat back, I noticed this green thing between the cushions and knew at this point that they had only made a show of cleaning my car and did not actually do anything. I also founded many spots that easily wiped off with a rag that had not been touched. I ended up calling them asking for a full refund because I had to spend so much time cleaning my car myself and found many areas there were left untouched. They refused to refund me and only offered for me to bring the car back into the shop and have a manager himself clean but at this point I did not trust this shop and had already spend hours doing it myself. I would not return to this location as they clearly do not do their job properly. read more

I was searching for a local auto detailing company for days before finding these guys. I'm SO glad I did. We needed the interior of our two family vehicles deep cleaned before the arrival of our second child. I was slightly embarrassed to show the inside of both cars after removing the car seats that had been in there for years from our first. The owners, Wiley and Melinda, were amazing to work with. They had great communication, went out of their way to make things easier for me when dealing with pick up and drop off. I'm 9 months pregnant, so they arranged for our second car to be picked up and dropped off at our home after same day service. I'm pretty sure I squealed a little upon opening the doors to our cars both times after being worked on. I have never seen them look more clean! My baby Civic had grease spots on the upholstery from careless spills. Never had a detail job before but immediately got a good feeling from Wiley on the phone - he was prompt, professional, and transparent about what to expect from the detailing process. They did steamer and hot water extractor on my seats, rinsing 2x to make sure it was really clean and drying it completely before it was picked up, so they are definitely giving vehicles what they deserve and not mailing it in at this place. Really went the extra mile to do it right. As well as all hard surfaces and carpets/mats immaculately clean. It's like magically I have my new car back, and being able to enjoy my vehicle again was worth every penny. Fair and transparent pricing as well. The interior smells fantastic, and when I picked the car up they had paper mats put in so your carpets won't get immediately muddy again. I'm so happy I found this place! I had a nasty spill between my passenger seat and console. It was a chocolate protein shake and I didn't realize it had spilled until long into the workday in the sweltering heat. You can imagine how horrific the smell was. Actually, I'm not sure you can, because it was unimaginably disgusting. I called around, but based on the customer service and unprofessionalism I experienced just on the phone, I didn't feel comfortable trusting this problem with anyone until I spoke to Wiley at Pristine. He couldn't fit me in until after the weekend, which was concerning as the smell grew worse, but I had already made up my mind that I was going with Pristine. My instincts did not let me down. He warned me that I might need to take measures that he wasn't equipped for to get rid of the smell, but I figured anything was better than what I had been dealing with. Fortunately, the service was above and beyond what I had expected. My car not only does not smell like a rotting carcass, but it smells great and looks incredible! I would have paid double what I did if I had the money, it would have been worth it, but the price was extremely fair. Super great work from super great people! Thanks Pristine! read more
