With retirement approaching, I became nervous due to my lack of financial knowledge. I am a…read moreretired teacher and the DROP process, with its many steps, intimidated me. At the advice of a friend, I called Synergy Financial Strategies and made an appointment with Jorge Gonzalez, Synergy's Founder and CEO. That was one of the best calls I could have possibly made. At our first appointment, Jorge immediately put me at ease with his extensive knowledge and the fact that he made it clear that he really does care about helping his clients achieve the very best outcomes. I found his patience to be never-ending . . . he answered my many questions with patience and additional information when needed. Any advice he gave came with an explanation of his rationale, in words that I could understand. I will always be thankful for the professional and caring way that Jorge handled every aspect of my retirement and preparation for a future that was financially sound. In his video on the Synergy website, he said that he goes the extra mile . . . and that is an understatement! He went beyond that in my case. That is just who he is, and I highly recommend him, as well as his incredible staff at Synergy Financial Strategies.

Burton & Company , CPA was my mother's (Dr. Adriennne Sillman Ed.D.) accountant for many years…read morebefore her passing. After her passing, Andrew Burton became the executor of her estate. He has handled the entire process with kindness, integrity, and fairness. The beneficiaries of this estate include myself and I can tell you firsthand that this was not an easy estate to handle. Money and greed bring out the worst in people, and that absolutely happened here. Andy in his wisdom used SJF Law Group to maintain the highest level of ethics and accuracy regarding disbursements and to respect my mother's wishes. It is unfortunate that he felt he had to protect himself from legal action just for following the instructions left to him by the will. Although at times I have felt frustrated by the difficulties presented in our unique case, I know that Andy is not to blame. I would absolutely recommend him in the future to anyone with accounting needs, or estate planning. He is who my mother used, and mother absolutely knew best. The support staff at Burton CPA is also phenomenal. I've called many times, for many reasons, in many moods, and everyone I've spoken with has always been very helpful and extremely professional. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful experience. Sincerely, Jennifer Dame

I was…read morerecommended to this accounting firm via my fiancee who has been working with them for over 10 years. First they overcharged me to file my S-corp paperwork. I knew this, I said nothing fine. 2 months later I had a question regarding taxes. I reached out to them and they never responded. I took care of it myself and got the answer I needed straight from an IRS agent. By the way it took the agent 1 minute to answer my question so no doubt any competent CPA could've answered me in the same amount of time. Still I said NOTHING. 3 months later I got an email from Michelle with an invoice for said services. Unbelievable! I reached out kindly asking what it is for. I even reminded her that she never responded to my request as I happily pay for any services rendered. The response was the nastiest response ever! Customer Service anyone?????? It's no wonder why online CPA's are destroying these mom and pop CPA's. All well deserved! I strongly advise exploring alternative options. Your hard-earned money and peace of mind deserve better than the lackluster service and unexplained charges that Burton & CO seems comfortable providing. Remember, without customers, no business can thrive. Choose wisely and ensure your financial affairs are entrusted to professionals who value and prioritize their clients.
