When we did go back recently the store had a bit of a remodel. It was nice, but just did not have the same feel as before. Prices on items tended to be a bit more hefty and the selection seemed more, how can I say,... "tan?" We went on a Saturday, which used to be a very busy time for them. But this time the store only had a couple of shoppers. Just couldn't put my finger on it, but it just didn't seem as interesting or inviting. The staff seemed a bit standoffish as well. I suspect if we are back down that way, we may stop by. Just don't think this will be a planned destination any longer.

The assistant manager immediately warmly greeted us and gave us some direction in regards to the different sections of the store. She also gave us a card that is stamped each time you make a purchase. After ten stamps, you get $50 off your purchase. As we walked through the store, we saw many interesting items, from furniture to jewelry to real fur coats. There was an African section and we knew right away that we'd be purchasing something from this section. We decided on an African djembe that was the painted with bright colors. It's going to look great in our living room. At check out, they request to see your driver's license if you're paying with a card, which is something I like. Ferns are great plants they take minimal care and maintenance and have so many variaties. So too with the Japanese maples. I guess I like low maintenance plants. This place is a lot more than a plant shop and you could spend hours just looking at all the interesting things they have for sale. Let me say, however, bring your wallet because they can be pricey. Also be careful if you have kids with you because the shop can be crowded and things can easily be broken. The positives are that the shop layout is beautiful and the decorators took a lot of time to make it visibly appealing to the customers. And, the staff here are friendly and very knowledgeable about plants.
