I needed to print a couple of 2-page docs on a Sunday night and everything was closed. I dialed Dussault Diane's phone number around 7 pm not really hoping for an answer... This small of a printing job is way too small of a scope for them, since they specialize in graphic design, and printing hundreds of copies of high-quality marketing materials. BUT: having talked to me and understanding my need Diane asked me to email the docs to her, printed and bound the docs for me, had them ready to pick up in 10 minutes and charged nothing. Very few businesses out there will go out of their way and solve a tiny client's problem sacrificing some personal time on a Sunday night, but these folks did. For which I'm very grateful. If I need graphic design, Diane will be my first call.

I'm not a professional nor expert photographer, but after spending so much money on lenses and…read morecamera bodies and fancy little carrying cases, I realized it might be all sorts of fun to actually print and hang some of my masterpieces. I shopped around for a printer, and after pestering enough of my uber-serious-photographer friends for advice, I eventually decided to try out Colourgenics. I just picked up my prints and am extremely pleased with the results. They're so gorgeous that for a brief moment I considered myself the next Henri Cartier-Bresson; I'm sure the folks at Colourgenics would disagree as they obviously weren't as smitten with my raw natural photographic talent as I was during the print-unveiling. Despite the lack of ego fluffing I would definitely return. They know their stuff, were extremely helpful and courteous both by e-mail and in-person, and produce killer prints. Although they're on the pricey side compared to other local printers, I decided it's not worth dropping so much money on fancy gear but cheaping out when it comes time to hang photos on my wall. If saving a few bucks is important, I would recommend shopping elsewhere, but if you want your prints to look as stellar as possible you can't go wrong with these folks.

Most of the order/price arrangement was taken care of quite efficiently over the email and there was little hassle thanks to Joanna organizing everything. One advantage is that they email you mockups of what you order before you pickup, so you can review any mistakes or change your mind after a second look! The former happened to me, and even though the mix-up delayed the pickup date, I at least had more or less exactly what I was looking for, and got a bit of a discount thanks to the delay as well! Overall, very nice and accommodating staff, and probably the best value for customization in Toronto! Call ahead for hours, they close roughly between 5-6, but there is often someone in after-hours.
