Principle Law is a firm of Solicitors and Higher Court Advocates that deal with civil matters... so we're not talking criminal cases here! What they actually specialise in is commercial and personal legal matters.
A friend of mine consulted one of the solicitors at this practice a while back about what he could do about being laid off. He felt that he had a case for unfair dismissal because the company he worked for let him go as part of their efforts to make cut backs, but continued to employ colleagues who had worked for the company for less time. He was given a free half hour session to discuss the matter and found that he was given all of the advice that he needed without needing to book a further appointment. It was ultimately decided that he had no grounds for a case as he did not possess the same skills and experience as his colleagues, and this was the most likely cause of them being retained.
I think that the fact that solicitors offer free advice to people like my friend is wonderful. He would not have been able to afford to pay for it otherwise.
