It took 6 emails and calls to get corect directions t for the pick up dock - NO MAP...the boat has 43 people on it the upper deck steps said 5 adults only there were eleven of us - 7 tanding to eat because there was no seating. the food was marginal - we a choice of water or cans of pop. There is no way there were 43 life rafts for any emergency - people from California Colorado were also dumbfounded- Do not take this charter -

Not only did she coordinate an amazing afternoon on the harbor with Captain Don on the Indiscretion, she became my Boston tour guide helping me plan the perfect trip and walked me step by step through transportation, restaurants, neighborhoods, live music venues, etc. She is a true Bostonian, LOVES her city and should be named Boston Ambassador Extraordinaire! Ann made sure we had our favorite snacks, champagne, glasses, etc. and Captain Don had a cooler full of beverages and even offered to cook on the grill for us while on our 3 hour trip around the harbor. We visited Boston over Halloween weekend 2021 which was late in the season to charter a yacht. Ann communicated with me almost daily leading up to the trip and worked with various captains to ensure I would be able to surprise my boyfriend with a special day on the water...we even worked together to move the timing of the charter during our trip ensure we had the best weather for our excursion. Ann met us at the dock, took photos and took care of all the details, making it a wonderful surprise, within our agreed budget and helpful in every way. All we had to do was show up at the dock. There was plenty of food and drink (both of which exceeded expectations) and the staff of the Timeless were extremely friendly and accommodating. We were already next door at the aquarium so it was very easy to get here. The line was a bit confusing because they said that they would tell us where to go but I had to go to the box office to find out. She was actually quite rude and not helpful, so we ended up just joining the line we saw because we figured it was it. It was, so all was well. The boarding process was easy enough and we boarded the ship pretty quickly, even with the photos being taken at the beginning. The boat itself was a little bit worse for wear and smelled weird but we went up top on the highest deck so we were outside. The chairs up there were also pretty worse for the wear but it was good enough. I loved the guides dad jokes and weird humor. He made it all better and I appreciated that. To be honest, weird jokes make it much easier to remember the historical facts and my husband is still spouting some it it to this day.

I was super excited to visit the East Coast from Maine to Boston with the hopes of taking the old…read moreman to see some whales! Guess what, whale watching season had not started as we came to early. Good news we avoided the crowds, bad news some things were not open. Arrive into Boston and look at taking a tour and lo and behold, that weekend is the first weekend for Boston! So, we book those tickets for that morning and are out on the boat in less than 1 hour from start to finish. Waiting in line, a breeze! Getting tickets, a breeze! The crew was amazing and happy to see all of us (it was the first weekend of whale watching)! Our captain took us out and spent the longest time with us on the water as it was difficult to catch those whales! We were able to see a couple of brief glimpses, which really made the entire trip worth it. As we were going back to shore, we were told that our tickets would be reissued for another tour with them since we had really seen whales on the tour. That was amazing! Best part of the trip, the lovely Linneea who seriously had the best voice and demeanor for talking about the whales. You could really feel her passion and empathy for the creatures through her voice! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I was even out on the side and the captain peaked over to say he was hoping that we would find some whales today! They really do care about the experience but also about the sanctity of the whales and their environment. Summer break trip to Boston and of course we had to try the tall ship cruise by the Boston harbor…read more This is a 1.5 hours time cruising out into the harbor...passing the airport, terminal, Castle Island, and around the Spectacle Island. We went for the late afternoon time slot because it rained a little bit in the morning. Luckily no more rain in late afternoon and while the weather was cool and cloudy, we still enjoyed the ride. Nice view and relaxing. Our boat wasn't packed with people so I think that also made a difference where folks were spread out sitting around the tall ship. The captain and 2 crews were professional and friendly. They offered a complimentary drink if you would like one. Note that this is not a historical tour. But if you want a relaxing ride to enjoy the harbor view, give them a try.

The trip alone is worth more than $55, so the additional food was just a bonus. Based on the menu I saw online, I was expecting a 3-4 course meal, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the dining experience was buffet style. This meant we got to sample a lot of the delicious food! My favorites were the salmon and the chicken, and for dessert, I really enjoyed the peach cobbler (not pictured) because I couldn't resist devouring it before snapping a photo. When the buffet first opens, people rush to the line and it gets a bit crowded. My tip: let the hungrier people go first to avoid the claustrophobia. We also purchased a margarita for two, which was so huge that the three of us couldn't finish it! We even got a margarita mug with the City Cruises logo as a souvenir. There was a DJ playing cool music while we ate, and the servers were fantastic, bringing us drinks and quickly removing empty plates. The best part was undoubtedly the nearly 3-hour cruise around Boston, where we got to see a lot of landmarks. My family loved it, and it will definitely become a tradition whenever they visit Boston.

The boat itself was very big and had three levels. The inside of the boat felt a little on the older side, but I don't think that mattered much since I was outside looking at the water most of the trip. I found the people onboard incredible knowledgeable about the different species of whales and locating the whales. I was able to see multiple whales or see them jump out of the water multiple times. It was really exciting each time a whale was spotted and there was always a rush from one side of the boat to another when one was spotted. I didn't try any of the food onboard, but they had the typical snack foods.

For starters, I upgraded my experience and paid for priority boarding and a window seat. It would have been ideal for them to have a priority boarding section. Instead I walked to the front of the line and ask the staff member how I should board and he said to just wait there. It felt a bit weird making it look as if I was simply cutting in front of everyone else who had been waiting in the cold for a long time. But honestly, I didn't feel too bad because, heck, they could have paid for the privilege too! Once onboard, the yacht was nicely decorated and having the window seat was worth it for the views. They put tables a bit too closely together for my liking, but it didn't make a major negative to the overall experience: The crew were all very nice and the service was pretty good. The drinks were delicious, from the after hour coffee and whiskey beverages to their spin on the old fashioned (added kola sugar and rum for a Caribbean themed variation). The crab and shrimp dip I ordered was also fantastic and I wished they provided extra bread or perhaps some chips to go with all the leftover dip in the bowl. I got champagne too as a part of a romance package, and that too was very nice. As for the thanksgiving buffet? Meh. The stuffing was bad, the macaroni and cheese was okay, the turkey was fairly good albeit a tad dry, and the salmon was solid. And when you were finished with the mediocre-at-best meal, there was time to take in some line dancing with the live DJ. Overall I really enjoyed it and will take another cruise with them some day. I just will temper my expectations relative to the meal!
