We bought ours less than 5 years ago and the acrylic is separating from the fiberglass already. Valentine's response to me was that I set the temperature about 94 degrees and use chemicals in the spa, by the way chemical in which they sold me. Artesian first stated the warranty was out because it is over 3 years old, when I bought the spa I was told there was a lifetime warranty on the tub itself, now they are telling me we melted the acrylic. They don't know exactly how we melted it but it could be from a cigarette, chemicals, or even the light shining off a window into the spa. When I asked how the light off a window would melt the acrylic through the water because the area is in the bottom seat area and we also have 2 other thinned acrylic areas on the other side of the tub as well, Allen got upset. I told him no one in the house smokes either, so he stated don't know how you melted the acrylic but that's what's happened. We had a person who knows lots about spa been in business a long time and said we take really great care of our spa, and he has never seen anything like this. SO A WARNING TO ANYONE IN THE MARKET FOR BUYING A SPA STAY AWAY FROM VALENTINE SPA AND POOL AND ARTESIAN SPA'S. THEY ARE BOTH CRAP

We originally wanted a blue pool but they had this white one in stock and now I can't imagine having anything but this sparkly white pool! Everyone that sees it thinks it's incredible. It glistens! Our backyard is a whole different place now, as you can see from the photos. In addition, I could't imagine doing anything but travertine decking. It just looks incredible and should hopefully the last the test of time. The whole process was very professional. They actually showed us a mockup of our house, which was a nice touch. We originally were going to do a spa/pool combo but settled on just the pool to keep things cost effective. They also drove us to show a sample of one of their pools. The only thing I would have done differently in hindsight is to get everything planned out way before construction. I don't blame that on them, we just didn't have a clear vision for what we wanted to do with the rest of the yard and had a strict budget. You will want to know what you want to do with the whole space, not just the pool. Everything worked out fine but going into it without all those details planned is what made things feel a bit rushed at times. Take your time on the whole project and the experience will probably be a lot smoother with less last minute decision making. We were just so focused on the pool we forgot about everything else lol. As far as pricing goes, I got quotes from three other companies. There was a lot of variation in what they wanted to do, the lowest quote, for example, included a concrete pool deck which wasn't what we wanted at all. The quotes were all within about 15% of each other, but Aquatic was only a month out versus the 6-8 months the others quoted. That alone made the decision pretty easy.

David showed up the same day I called him, and it was immediately apparent his knowledge of not only remodelling pools was exceptional, but his experience with building pools from scratch and identifying hidden issues the average homeowner wouldn't ever know about was a key differentiator that set David, and All American Pool & Spa apart from the three other big pool builders in town. David identified problems we had wondered about and was able to explain in detail what the risk of not fixing them would be, as well as what would be required. All of it was not good news as far as what we were facing. The previous remodel we did 12 years ago with another company in town had covered up and concealed a host of issues. We especially appreciated Davids direct no nonsense approach to delivering the information - he doesn't pull punches - he tells it like it is. We had problems structurally with our pool - period. If we weren't prepared to address them, then David was not going to work with us. Other big pool companies that came out to quote barely addressed the possible structural concerns - like they thought it was too much effort to work into their quote. Without any hesitation we signed on with All American Pool & Spa and the process unfolded in the way our contract was laid out. Now we'll put his knowledge to work and see if we can get our spa Beautiful again. BIG lesson learned, don't use chlorine shock with bromine. Only use non chlorine shock. He took our ideas and designed a really nice space to work for our dogs, our kids and to match the existing landscaping.
