They did not have large chunks of nuts or cardamom in the filling, which I'm personally not a huge fan of. And the gluten free option was also very good, dare I say better than the regular one.

Found this place by…read morechance while browsing around the area (first time in Stockholm and wanted a traditional bakery item) and this bakery had amazing baked goods, from cakes to pastries. Thelins Konditori did not disappoint! There is spacious seating indoors and outdoors and this bakery had a classy, quiet atmosphere, which I very much love. I had tried the traditional Kanelbulle pastry bread which is kind of like an American cinnamon roll, except that this one had some kind of cardamom spice, cinnamon, and some sugar sprinkled on top. I had imagined this bread to be extremely sweet, but it was not too sweet at all and was perfect for an afternoon "Fika" break. This would have paired well with the coffee and espresso items that this bakery also offers. My husband ordered a mixed nut tartlet and it was extremely flavorful and had a buttery texture. The customer service here was phenomenal and the person taking care of my order was extremely kind and sweet. She spent time explaining to me which pastries were recommended. I highly recommend this place for both tourists and locals alike!

What a fun sweet shop! I was tasked with bringing home…read moreSwedish chocolate and Chokladfabriken came up on my search and was close enough to walk. I am glad this won my search! The shop itself is fairly small, but LOTS of options. There were the standard truffles, buy also pastries and other chocolate bars and goodies. The person working was very kind and helpful - and patient! I was picking up a lot of gifts and definitely took up a bit of her time, but she packed everything nicely and even wrote everyone's name on the boxes so I didn't have to try to remember which box went with which person. Would definitely recommend a stop here to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I asked the guy who worked there what his favorite ice cream flavors were and he recommended the manjariglass which has chocolate chunks from Madagascar and the tiramisu. The manjariglass was good but my sister and I both liked the tiramisu better. My sister wanted the kaffeglass because she likes coffee ice cream but there were chocolate chips in it which she wasn't expecting. I'm giving this place five stars because I can't think of any way that this chocolate shop could be improved. They serve desserts, chocolates, ice cream, and drinks. There's also a webcam of the kitchen that shows them preparing the chocolates. Prices are very reasonable and the people who work here are some of the nicest strangers I've met in Sweden. The shop itself is adorable as well. I'll have to try the truffles next time because they're supposed to be good!

The concept is a little bit like the Magnolia bakery from "sex & the city". I have visited that one too & the store is nothing like that but their cupcakes remind me of NY. They are always very tasty & fresh & I like that they have these really tiny cupcakes ( mini) as well cause I like to taste different flavors. The only negative they get from me is the service! Every time I was there, they either messed up my payment ( I mean how complicated can working with a card reader be?!) or they had some trainee on the job that they were showing her how things work without any concern to the customer & wether I'm in hurry or got the whole day to stand there & watch them!!!

I also really love that they have brought the trend of Naked Cakes to Stockholm! They are both pretty and delicious. Talk about a crowd pleaser! Everyone was going crazy for them at a party we just had. Just a warning, I would order them for pick up the day of your party because they need to be refrigerated. The regular cupcakes are pretty good too! I wasn't a fan of the mini cupcakes though, they were so tiny and did not have the typical fluffiness that you expect in a good cupcake. In case you haven't already figured it out...I would go with the Naked Cakes 100%! =)

Originally founded in 1920 by Helga Södermark, another Konditori like Vete-Katten built by a female that has grown into an institution with time, Tössebageriet resides at Karlavägen 77 where it has served locals for nearly one hundred years, the menu rare to change save for seasonal items such as the supposed best-in-Stockholm Semla served during the holidays. Open weekdays at 7am and two hours later Saturday or Sunday, seating areas inside and out rarely with an open space during early hours and around lunch, it was shortly after entry that a two-top against the far wall became free, six items plated by a young lady at costs lower than Mr. Cake joined by freely-refillable Coffee and tasting started off by a Cardamom Bun indistinguishable from the one Ljungberg offers at his newer Bakery. Further showing evidence of connections to Mr. Cake with a Doughnut served upright, the name Manadens Bulle used to describe Dough centered by Strawberry Jam, it was only in Tössebageriet's Katalan that quality dropped off, the base too dense and dry beneath only a bit of Raspberries and Frosting. Returning to form with a traditional Tosca, Sugar- shellacked Almonds sliced thin atop buttery Cake, it was in a Budapest Cake packed with Raspberries that Tössebageriet shined brightest, each bite of airy Cream and Meringue slightly different from the one prior while a round Chokladboll was equally heterogenous but densely packed in Oats and Coconut Flakes.
