Michelle at Primrose did a fabulous job with the flowers and decorations for our daughter's wedding. She transformed Avalon Yacht Club into a venue worthy of a spread in Wedding magazine. The theme was a simple elegance beach theme. Driftwood accented with votives, lanterns, peonies, starfish, shells, sand, and sprinkles of petals transformed the venue. The bridesmaid's and bridal bouquets were the perfect complement to the beach glass colored gowns. Michelle met with us and really got a sense of our daughter's dream wedding! We were not disappointed. Every guest complimented us on the wedding. Without a doubt, Michelle at Primrose is the go to business for wedding flowers. read more

Much too expensive I came in for a pair of vintage faucets and found out that they were 40 dollars each and I was shocked I also saw that other antiques were mostly resold reproductions and average decor that were also overpriced but I eventually found a pair of vintage faucets at another store for 5 dollars for the pair. read more

Stopped in because they had some cool vintage items out front. When they decided to finally acknowledge me the woman just said what do you want then walked into a back room to ignore me as she shouted to me that they don't sell anything. I actually waited for her to come back out and she told me to go outside and read the sign as if her time was too valuable to spend explaining to me what they do do. The flowers and bouquets for my daughter's wedding were nothing like what we ordered both in color and design. At our consultation, we came with pictures and described the flowers we wanted and watched Michelle, the owner, take notes so I don't understand why. This mistake affected everything from the mood to the photography to the cake. With all the planning and money that goes into a wedding, it's heartbreaking to have to come to terms with that. During the week before my daughter's wedding we tried several times to call with questions, but our calls were not answered. We finally stopped in but we were told to leave because we didn't make an appointment. But we had been trying to call all that week. All of this uncertainty caused more stress for my already stressed daughter and me. When we finally received our invoice (just a few days before the wedding) it was $1600 more than what we were quoted, even though there were no changes to our order. After my daughter's wedding I stopped by the store with copies of our pictures to get an explanation of why the flowers were not what we ordered. Michelle became belligerent, showered me with personal insults, and showed me pictures that she said came from my daughter but that another bride must have given her. All I could do was stare at her dumbfounded that she could make such a big mistake. If you decide to go with this florist, be careful. What this florist did and how she treated us affected an entire wedding and we can never get that day back. read more

Michelle just "got" me from the second I walked in to her swoon worthy barn. She knew exactly the look I was going for, and was able to run with it. When I walked into my wedding reception, it actually took my breath away. Michelle and her crew (including Charlie Whiskey Design), went way above and beyond.. not just with the bouquets/centerpieces but with the overall design of the wedding. The signage, the gift table, the seating arrangement, the driftwood...etc etc etc. There are no words to thank her and her outstanding and extremely talented staff. read more

Bad customer service. I placed an order and then called to provide payment- the saleswoman thought she put me on hold but did not and I could hear her and the owner speaking negatively about me- complaining about questions I asked which included recommendations on how much I needed to order and what variety would be best for the arrangements I was making. Needless to say, I immediately canceled the order. I don t believe in giving business to people who are rude and don t want to help. read more

Flowers were pretty, but not enough to make up for the stress of dealing with Michelle. Once you place the deposit, it is difficult to get in touch with her. We did not get the detailed bill until 3 days before the wedding and ended up paying a delivery and set up charge that was never mentioned and ended up being an extra 30%. Using this florist added to an already stressful time for our bride. Beware. read more

Michelle wasted our time. I met with her with my fiance and my parents. She sat with us going over everything we liked and didn't like, and really took the time to get to know us (or so I thought). She even wrote up a detailed sheet on everything we wanted. She really sold us hard and I was ready to put down my deposit. Instead she told us to meet with other people and think about it. When I tried calling (3 times) and emailing (3 times) within the next 3 weeks, I assumed that she was blowing us off. Finally she called us back a month later (RUDE!) and told my fiance she did not know who he was and why he was calling. She openly expressed her hatred for our venue and its manager in our initial meeting, which is why we are assuming she blew us off for so long. When we finally heard back from her, she still did not want us to give a deposit. She could not have acted more unprofessionally. I had thought she was the perfect match for me, but I would rather go somewhere else where I am treated with respect. read more

I couldn't agree more with the 1 star reviews on here. Michelle had me running around, stressing out the week of my wedding because we were supposed to meet to discuss final details and every time I showed up, she was "not available". She overbooked weddings that same week and did not deliver the bouquets that we talked about. When my mom confronted her, she screamed and insulted her (for me, that was probably the worst part). Later, I looked at her instagram and noticed that she posted the same exact bouquet that she made for another wedding that same weekend. Seems like she just made a bunch of the same one and thought we wouldn't notice. Not to mention, she quoted us a price and then upcharged us over $1000 a few days before my wedding. She lied and took advantage of us. She did the same thing to a girl I know who got married last week, and when I heard about the incident it just made me sad. Honestly, we can't get our memories back but I wish we could get our money back. It's a shame because she has a great creative eye and is capable of doing beautiful work, I just wish she didn't treat us with such disrespect and rudeness. A wedding is stressful enough without someone making it even harder. I hope she knows how much it hurts to be burned like that. read more

If I could, I would give 0 stars. NONE. Do NOT use this florist. The owner may have artistic ability but she is a very poor businessperson and, unfortunately, behaves like an overgrown middle-schooler. At our meetings she repeatedly ridiculed me for being concerned with the cost, even making fun of the word "budget." Despite her dislikeable personality, I gave her a deposit and told myself the end result would be worth it. Then, ten days before my daughters' wedding I got a call from Michelle telling me that, despite our meetings specifying what we wanted to do, she had sold an item central to the design, to "an important customer." Clearly we were not important to her. When I let her know this was unacceptable and we would need to tweak all of the terms of our agreement, she called my daughter - the bride- and proceeded to tell her she was no longer excited about doing her wedding. She then wrote me an email where she tried to cover herself by saying I had "verbally attacked" her, which at best was unprofessional and at worst a bit scary and unstable. She left a very bad taste mouths at a time that should be beautiful, special, and exciting. Repeat requests for a refund went unheeded (of course). Happy to say we were rescued by Manic Botanic, who gave us better service AND specific flowers we asked for that Primrose had told us were impossible to get... and more of them! Please, don't risk your special day with this shop. read more
