I will definitely be re-ordering more of them soon. We also got some Pistachio Nuts (Garlic, Green Onion with sage) it didn't have any heat but they were a nice savory snack, including with the Freeze Dried Pepper Jack cheese bites. Such a great mix of flavors for snacking!

Absolutely love all of the snacks this place has to offer!!…read more Being a lover of charcuterie boards, I decided to go all out and make a premium creation using pistachios and lucque olives. The lucque olives are not your typical briny olives that we get at the market, and the flavor was fresh and delicious. As you would expect picking a fresh olive I would imagine. We tried both the roasted garlic & herbs as well as roasted garlic & jalapeno and herbs. Both were an amazing addition. Another delicious treat was Hunter's pistachios. These are not simply dusted like you may find at the market, they really flavor them well and you can see and taste the seasonings on the shell. We tried both the mild (hatch chilis, garlic, and sage), as well as the hot (jalapeno, garlic, and sage). Both were truly amazing, although my husband preferred the hot variety as they had a nice kick. We also were able to try some pure lemon syrup. With a sweet lemony flavor, it is truly good on so many things. We enjoy it as a glaze on chicken, fish, or in tea. I will be trying it on ice cream next!!! We keep coming up with new uses all the time as we love the flavor of this syrup. I am dying to restock and try the sweetened and dipped orange and lemon slices the next time. These treats are healthy and delicious, and we are very happy to have tried Hunter's Homegrown!

*** This customer experience was had during the COVID-19 Pandemic ***…read more This is one of two of my favorite Cost Less Foods Grocery stores. The Modesto, California location is also clean, spacious, well-stocked, affordable, and helpful. The location that is is the most uncomfortable due to not only how tiny it is, but how unclean and cramped it is the Turlock, CA local. This Ceres, California location is super clean! Super organized! Super well-stocked and spacious! Plus to alert the shoppers to "open and available" checkout lines, they have awesome old-school lighted check-stand markers that are a few feet above the check stand so they really get your attention. No self-checkout. Maybe in the future, they will offer this. They DO offer: Bill Pay, Money Orders, Check Cashing, Fax/Copies, and per their sign "more...". Turn the music down, please. This is not a disco. It's difficult to think and make sure you're not forgetting anything even with a list when the music blares at loud volumes and non-stop. It's darn near impossible to shop anywhere anymore without being subjected to loud noise emanating from their speaker system. Lastly, since it appears they are no longer mailing their weekly newspaper ad, you can go online and view their weekly ad there. All and all, a nice, clean, well-stocked, yet noisy and affordable grocery experience.

Your security guard then followed them to their car and began taking photos of them and their vehicle without ever approaching them inside the store or asking to see a receipt like a normal person would. Let's be clear: she paid for it. There is a receipt. What I have a much bigger problem with is a grown adult man following my barely-18-year-old sister out of the store and into the parking lot to photograph her without identifying himself or stating any concern to her face. That is not loss prevention. That is just a grown man following a young girl to her car. If there was a genuine concern, the time to address it was at the door. Not creeping up on two teenagers once they were already outside. And to top it all off? The cake was frozen solid and basically inedible & no, not because it was a supposed to be a frozen product, but because it appeared to be old and improperly stored. So we got harassed over a cake that wasn't even fit to eat. This was supposed to be a simple birthday errand. Do better.
