Bodhi by Anthony came into my life when I needed their services the most…read more I needed to lose a few pounds, but I'm nursing a wounded paw. The team helped me with some important stretching I could handle but my brain needed a nutrition & lifestyle reeducation to help me beat Diabetes and be prepared to strengthen my body. I was temporarily in a wheelchair and Karen ran over to bring me a container of protein powder shake mix. This helped contain my sugar reading swings but I needed more intervention with my diet. Karen & I surfed the web to find a program that meets my needs. In just a few days, my sugar readings are at a consistent in range that I haven't seen ever in 10 years as a diabetic. Now I'm 2 weeks into this shift in lifestyle. I'm walking a whole lot better, Anthony is building back my strength, we are discussing how to maintain this progress when I travel on business. Life is complicated. I knew I was not going to succeed by myself. Karen and Anthony really care about their clients and in a few short months I'm in a direction I thought I'd never see. My Endocrinolgist was happy surprised at my levels and thinks this direction will absolutely impact reducing my very high A1C. So, bottom line, LFTD Fitness is a great team. Very inclusive. Meet people in similar challenges. It's 1000x better to have a coach vs a gym membership for $9.99 a month. Get results when you work with LFTD Fitness

Each class was very challenging and fun. I attended the Barre class by mistake - I thought I was coming to a pilates mat class per the website class schedule. What a challenging class! I couldn't walk for days afterwards - this is a very strong group of women. The class size was small (maybe 5 of us total) and Kris was able to ensure we were all staying true to form. Yogalates was more popular with 10-12 women. The class was fun and motivating. The studio has every prop and accessory needed to play with! Bounce class was challenging and intimate - there was only two of us! Kris modified the class to suit our fitness level, engaged us in partner activities and even threw in some cardio on the bikes. The studio is clean and friendly. I was surprised to see some men using the equipment and getting personal training. There's a room dedicated to spin, a shower and a facial room. Overall a cute facility and great women. The website could use some updating - mainly the calendar and the old website needs to redirect to the new website to avoid confusion.

Scheduled with Gina, the owner, and she set me up with the InShape machine and boy was it an AMAZING experience!! It does this thing that focuses on melting the fat and then stimulate the muscles under the fat! After about 45 mins or so feeling this vibration around my stomach; the area felt very light and loose (such a hard description to describe, but it's a good feeling). Then she hooked me to this other machine, I think called, NuShape? and THAT WAS AMAZING!!! The focus on that machine was the muscle then the fat. It would do these pounding sensations and it made me feel like I was doing 1000 ab crunches!!! I was so scared that I would get an abdominal cramp, but nothing happened! :) It's a different way to relax, but the OUTCOME after just 1 session was incredible!! After 30 mins of that, I looked in the mirror and boy, did my stomach look less bloated and felt really light!!! Standing, my belly fat felt like it was just broken up into pieces and was just waiting to escape my body!! I didn't feel jiggly at all!!! After that, she had me hop on this skateboard machine where you stand there and it jiggles! It was quite fun and fast! It was only for 10 mins and I saw the machine said I burned almost 600 calories!! That was cool! Felt all the places in my body that had fat jiggle! LOL Gave me more motivation to stick to my startup of working out and going the extra mile (that extra squat, that extra time on the treadmill)! Gina and her team are AMAZING!!! I went to the Oakhurst location and it's a very minimal, clean, beautiful aesthetic place!! :) I've been to her other location years ago, Marlboro, and it was also minimal, clean, and beautifully aesthetic. Their company and staff really stick their company's core values!!! I would definitely support small local businesses great as they are!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!! Love her and her staff!!! Bought another package and can't wait to start this journey! Eating healthy and exercising goes hand in hand with this program!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!! Thank you Ms. Gina and her staff!!!! :) xoxoxo :)

Changed My Life - Even Though I Didn't "Need" PT…read more I came in because my husband told me my posture was bad. Standing up I looked fine but walking I hunched over. And going down stairs I had to clutch the railing and felt very unstable. I couldn't keep up with my husband and wondered if something was wrong with my heart or breathing. Joanna examined my walking and noticed that when I walked, I didn't use either my toes or heels. At all. She provided a massagelike PT and gave me exercises, some that I do there and some I do at home. Also, I relearned--literally--how to walk and how to go down stairs using my whole foot and now can walk as fast as my husband and son and am so much more comfortable on stairs. I'd had serious bunion surgery previously but still had hammertoes. My toes are now straight and long and am considering a fancy pedicure to celebrate! I wasn't an invalid before -- had just gotten back from a trip to Spain where I walked 16,000 to 20,000 steps a day. Often on cobblestone. But I often had to ask my husband to slow down (he's a runner and fast NYC-born walker). But now I am now eager to walk, sometimes inching past my husband and my chubby calves have even changed shape, thinning my ankles as a muscle in the front of my calf strengthened. I am grateful my husband was honest about my "hunch" -- this is a major life Improvement! Mindfully walking, placing the toe and mid foot and heel has also given me an easy mindfulness practice that is calming and energizing at the same time. I am profoundly grateful.
