This is the kind of school that parents in Los Angeles, San Francisco or NYC have to jump through hoops to get their kids into, with massive politics and financial commitments at play. Yet in Vegas, many parents (including on our street) send their kids to Dawson due to its reputation for being easier and more artsy as they are terrified of the academic competitiveness of Meadows. If these same parents were in the Bay Area they'd be doing backflips trying to get their kids into the same sort of school there as Meadows. The campus is amazing. The curriculum is challenging. The kids are happy and very engaged in sports, theater, charity and other after-school activities. The parents are friendly and, especially the "Meadows Moms", work tirelessly to help out. Yes, your kid has to test into each school (K, middle, high). Great, we love a meritocracy rather than forced social promotion. And my daughter will have friends for life as she goes from K thru 12 here.

A few weeks later I was then told I would be interviewing with 1 coach and 2 HR people. First off, since when do you need to interview with HR reps and 2nd, IT'S A CHEERLEADING COACH POSITION. Give me a flippin break. Four people for a PART-TIME cheerleading coach position! Had to sit through this interview while the "HR" people mean mugged me the whole time. I'm sure it's a great school; the campus was beautiful but why the HR interview????? Weird vibes from them.

I can honestly say Alex is a FANTASTIC teacher who really just wants you to succeed. He works really hard to help you get all the tools and training you need. It's on you to practice and get better. during the time of my schooling, I had just learned Blackjack proficiently and decided to go for an audition at El Cortez. Unfortunately, they told me they were full on blackjack dealers, but they can REALLY use dice dealers. Alex worked with me and helped me get better at the math and practicing with units. He gave me chips to practice my cutting and told me to come back whenever I want as often as I want but practicing at home too would be crucial for faster success. He was very honest saying it takes about 6 weeks to be proficient in craps and I appreciated his honesty and directness. I kept practicing, but my 5th week in my teaching job opened up and I took that job. Alex has ALWAYS invited me back to finish up the package I paid for even though I declined. He really wanted me to continue to have something to fall back on and invited me back on numerous occasions to finish training. I firmly believe he is THE BEST ISNTRUCTOR in Vegas and really just wants to see people succeed and get better. Even at this location 7 years ago, the other students also learning were sharing horror stories of other school not helping, not coaching, and pairing you up with other trainees that didn't know what they were doing. I never EVER felt this at CEG, I always had personal coaching every minute I was there from him or another professional, and everyone there would go out of their way to help you succeed. Alex is the best man for the job. I firmly believe he wouldn't do business with anyone that didn't share his passion to help others and am glad to see him pair with Casino Quest staff. I'm DAMN SURE his vision is shared by everyone he works with. I'd bet the farm on it. He's an outstanding coach and person, and this was 8 years ago before they even got "big"!

Mr. Kwak helped encourage my daughter after she had a horrible summer intensive experience at a top ballet school out of state. He truly believes in his students and wants to see them progress to the best of their abilities. My daughter has also taken their summer intensive. She grew exponentially in technique and confidence in two weeks. Their prices are extremely reasonable (maybe a bit low-- but don't tell them I said this ) especially for the quality received, and we just love them. Let me say that this is a serious ballet studio. In the world of ballet, if you don't get corrections, it means you aren't learning anything and that the teachers don't really care about your progression. The corrections Mr. Kwak gives my daughter are detailed, logical and gentle. Ms. Yoomi does tend to be very strict, but this is because she loves her students and cares that they learn. If anyone takes the time to get to know this couple, they will see how much they care for their students. If you want for you or your child to only have fun and be told everything is right, this is not the place for you. If you want to learn, grow and progress in this artform, this is an amazing place to do so.

This school is wonderful. Parking and pick up can be frustrating sometimes but that's on the lazy parents who do not want to park appropriately and walk a few feet to pick up their children. The staff tho is amazing I've never had any issues or back talk or rudeness from anyone. If my kid wasn't feeling well they would call me immediately. If my kid had an issue with another child they would call me and explain the situation or I could easily text the teacher and she would handle it. The teachers seemed very interested in my kids education as both of them also require IEP for speech delay and autism. I just felt really heard with any concerns and they show genuine interest in my kids me tal well being as well as education I hope they can stay here instead of starting at another school. The other two options don't look very good.

She always makes it a fun experience with singing and dancing, even connecting songs and dances to lessons to help the kiddos remember, but also keeps it grounded by doing meditations and affirmations with the kids. She maintains an amazing patience with her kids and always lends a helping hand when teaching. She loves each and every kid and those kids love her. Seeing them grow up and go through different grades and still getting excited to see Miss Langman in the halls is truly heartwarming. Everyone across the school knows her for her hard work, dedication, and just in general brightness. Kids from other kindergarten classes even love coming into her room. She truly pours her heart and soul into this school and these kiddos and it shines through in everything she does each and every day. All of that dealing was done right out of school! So the school totally served its purpose. However, at that time, there was just as much focus on PLAYING poker as there was an DEALING poker. Poker playing strategies were discussed on a regular basis, player etiquette, and other aspects of playing. Nothing could be further from the truth at the current day, Tony Shelton Poker school and premier dealing Academy. The entire focus on is on being the best dealer that you can possibly be for well over 18 different variations and games of poker. Playing poker is not at all a focus. I was amazed at how many different scenarios were taught in which a dealer could find themselves. Everything from how a player bets to what constitutes a misdeal, and everything in between. Any scenario you could think of, any situation a dealer could find themselves in, are discussed and taught in detail at the school! I am now totally prepared to audition for a job at any one of the dozen plus Poker Rooms here in Las Vegas and then take that experience to the commerce casino in Southern California! The kids did not know, and the administration went on a witch hunt. They did not give anyone a warning and they expelled or suspended an incredible amount of good kids. The administration needs to learn about mentoring young people. It is irresponsible, frustrating, negligent, and horrifying the way they had such disregard for such a large group of students and the unprofessional manner with which they handle their affairs. My son will no longer be attending UNLV and I can only say that if your child wants a true college experience with a fraternity, do not send them there.

You're getting hands on experience with learning how to pour, bar etiquette, and maintenance. Although you're practicing with colored water, the material comes so much easier when you're actually doing it. The class was around $300 for 2 weeks with day and night options. I felt like that was a great value and took away a lot from the class. On the second week you have shot night where both classes come together and learn how to layer and pour shots with real liquor. That was easily my favorite night of the course. On the last day, you take a written test and "graduate" with your TAM card. I tell people regularly about this course and how it is a core memory of my Vegas experiences.
