Mark has a strong presence and keeps the room engaged, but what impressed me most was his attention to detail. He made an effort to know our names, noticed what was happening throughout the class, answered our questions, and made sure we were actually learning. I also appreciated that he did not simply give us the answers during testing. Some questions were meant to make us think, and he expected us to apply what we had learned. I think that kind of accountability is especially meaningful for people in recovery who are rebuilding their lives and preparing for employment. I volunteered to demonstrate a serving skill, including how to properly clear a table, and the RHI team supported me through the process. I have previous restaurant experience, including Hooters and Alexis Park, and the training reminded me how much I enjoyed hospitality and working with people. Although I am continuing toward a career in behavioral health and healthcare, I would absolutely recommend RHI to anyone in the recovery community who is interested in hospitality, employment, or a possible new career. It was also meaningful to hear Mark speak openly and proudly about recovery in his own family and about The Blooming Bistro. Recovery should not be treated as something shameful. People deserve education, opportunity, accountability, and the chance to succeed. This is the kind of school that parents in Los Angeles, San Francisco or NYC have to jump through hoops to get their kids into, with massive politics and financial commitments at play. Yet in Vegas, many parents (including on our street) send their kids to Dawson due to its reputation for being easier and more artsy as they are terrified of the academic competitiveness of Meadows. If these same parents were in the Bay Area they'd be doing backflips trying to get their kids into the same sort of school there as Meadows. The campus is amazing. The curriculum is challenging. The kids are happy and very engaged in sports, theater, charity and other after-school activities. The parents are friendly and, especially the "Meadows Moms", work tirelessly to help out. Yes, your kid has to test into each school (K, middle, high). Great, we love a meritocracy rather than forced social promotion. And my daughter will have friends for life as she goes from K thru 12 here.

These were not families simply passing through; they had been part of the Meadows community for years. When several long-term families leave from a class in one year, it raises questions about their experience and what is happening within the school community. In my view, the current administration is a major concern. I have also seen changes in the sense of community, along with the loss of long-standing families, faculty, and traditions that once made Meadows special. What is most disappointing is seeing a school that once felt so stable and connected become a place where long-term families are no longer staying. That kind of change doesn't happen without a reason, and it deserves to be recognized.

Mr. Kwak helped encourage my daughter after she had a horrible summer intensive experience at a top ballet school out of state. He truly believes in his students and wants to see them progress to the best of their abilities. My daughter has also taken their summer intensive. She grew exponentially in technique and confidence in two weeks. Their prices are extremely reasonable (maybe a bit low-- but don't tell them I said this ) especially for the quality received, and we just love them. Let me say that this is a serious ballet studio. In the world of ballet, if you don't get corrections, it means you aren't learning anything and that the teachers don't really care about your progression. The corrections Mr. Kwak gives my daughter are detailed, logical and gentle. Ms. Yoomi does tend to be very strict, but this is because she loves her students and cares that they learn. If anyone takes the time to get to know this couple, they will see how much they care for their students. If you want for you or your child to only have fun and be told everything is right, this is not the place for you. If you want to learn, grow and progress in this artform, this is an amazing place to do so.

This school is wonderful. Parking and pick up can be frustrating sometimes but that's on the lazy parents who do not want to park appropriately and walk a few feet to pick up their children. The staff tho is amazing I've never had any issues or back talk or rudeness from anyone. If my kid wasn't feeling well they would call me immediately. If my kid had an issue with another child they would call me and explain the situation or I could easily text the teacher and she would handle it. The teachers seemed very interested in my kids education as both of them also require IEP for speech delay and autism. I just felt really heard with any concerns and they show genuine interest in my kids me tal well being as well as education I hope they can stay here instead of starting at another school. She always makes it a fun experience with singing and dancing, even connecting songs and dances to lessons to help the kiddos remember, but also keeps it grounded by doing meditations and affirmations with the kids. She maintains an amazing patience with her kids and always lends a helping hand when teaching. She loves each and every kid and those kids love her. Seeing them grow up and go through different grades and still getting excited to see Miss Langman in the halls is truly heartwarming. Everyone across the school knows her for her hard work, dedication, and just in general brightness. Kids from other kindergarten classes even love coming into her room. She truly pours her heart and soul into this school and these kiddos and it shines through in everything she does each and every day. Ironically, I graduated from the Tony Shelton Poker School in January 2016 and dealt the World Series of poker main event here in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as World Series of poker circuit tournaments in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Cherokee, North Carolina. All of that dealing was done right out of school! So the school totally served its purpose. However, at that time, there was just as much focus on PLAYING poker as there was an DEALING poker. Poker playing strategies were discussed on a regular basis, player etiquette, and other aspects of playing. Nothing could be further from the truth at the current day, Tony Shelton Poker school and premier dealing Academy. The entire focus on is on being the best dealer that you can possibly be for well over 18 different variations and games of poker. Playing poker is not at all a focus. I was amazed at how many different scenarios were taught in which a dealer could find themselves. Everything from how a player bets to what constitutes a misdeal, and everything in between. Any scenario you could think of, any situation a dealer could find themselves in, are discussed and taught in detail at the school! I am now totally prepared to audition for a job at any one of the dozen plus Poker Rooms here in Las Vegas and then take that experience to the commerce casino in Southern California! We especially loved the library and the book store. (The walk from the strip wasn't terrible either... area between strip and here is a bit sketch though). When issues come up, the blame is placed on the student for "not following up," rather than advisors taking accountability for the lack of communication and guidance. College is already a major investment of time and money, and students should feel like their school wants them to succeed. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. Overall, I feel like I have wasted both my money and my time.

You're getting hands on experience with learning how to pour, bar etiquette, and maintenance. Although you're practicing with colored water, the material comes so much easier when you're actually doing it. The class was around $300 for 2 weeks with day and night options. I felt like that was a great value and took away a lot from the class. On the second week you have shot night where both classes come together and learn how to layer and pour shots with real liquor. That was easily my favorite night of the course. On the last day, you take a written test and "graduate" with your TAM card. I tell people regularly about this course and how it is a core memory of my Vegas experiences.
