After I asked him a few times he just said he's no longer servicing our property. I questioned him asking is it because you don't carry insurance?! His response was "I have many customers and none of them ask me for insurance or invoices". As a business owner this is a RED flag. If he does not provide you with proper insurance do NOT hire him. You can lose everything if one of his employees get hurt on your property. His service is not worth it. I now have a licensed and insured landscaper that had no problem providing the proper paperwork.
