At the last minute before we paid for the cruise we decided to just get some information from a travel agent and see if we would like to go that route. Looking back, I am so thankful we chose Shari to work with us. Unfortunately the ship we were booked on caught on fire and our cruise was cancelled. Shari worked many long hours just for our family to get us booked on another cruise because we had a very limited time frame that we would even be able to take a vacation this year. Shari worked her magic like a pro and got us on an even better ship for a very minimal increase in price. She also ended up saving us more money in the end that we didn't expect. I could have NEVER done this without her! We are so thankful that we found Shari and we will use her for all our future family vacations.

We had a great experience with Viking Travel for a 2-week-long European vacation this past July. I…read moreworked with Avery on details for a few months, and he was able to get us flights and hotels on either end of our travel for cheaper than I could find flights alone. Not only that, but the flights were ideal (great travel times, minimal layovers), and the hotels in Milan and Paris were so great-- especially for a family of 4! Our hotel in Paris had 2 separate bedrooms (a third if you count the living room, which had its own door), as well as a full kitchen (microwave, stove, plates/silverware, refrigerator, etc.). And none of the hotels were super touristy or packed-- we felt like we had found some hidden gems. Throughout planning and during our travel, Viking Travel was available to us by phone or email, and they were always quick to respond. They helped with COVID preparation, which was a big concern of ours going into Europe. I have to admit I had concerns with using a travel agent in this day and age, but it was worth it for sure. I'm not sure if it's like this for all packages, but we didn't pay Viking anything extra, there were no out-of-pocket costs to use them, we just paid for the flights/hotels and that was it. I can't recommend Viking Travel enough. We're already planning our next trip through them for next year :)

Barbara Beam helped to plan an important "Girl's Trip" for me and my friends to the Dominican Republic. We had such a wonderful and memorable time there! It took a long time to plan as we were quite indecisive at first. Barbara was patient and there for us every step of the way to make recommendations. She listened and asked questions to help narrow down exactly what we did (and did not) want. She nailed it! The entire trip (and planning) was seamless with her help. Throughout the planning, we never felt rushed and had all questions answered even up until the week we were leaving. We didn't have to really "think" too much on this holiday. All documents were given to us ahead of time, transportation was booked, and we felt very comfortable that we would be able to reach her during our trip at any point if needed. I will absolutely book trips with Barbara at Travel Experts of Cary again. Can't wait!

When we called the hotel/resort on the strip to get any last minute information needed that is when we found out about the amount of the incidental charge for each day! Spoke to Ms. Schwartz about this and she gives wrong information, and informs one of the people going on the trip that she would call back and she never called back. I asked why she did not return to the person that was inquiring about the charges she simply said because to me "I just thought you would relay the answer." WHAT!!! No apology what so ever about the issues that have been endured during this process and the lack of empathy - not good for customer service-

This was the worst mistake of my life hiring this heartless woman to book a honeymoon. From the…read morevery start she was not very helpful or descriptive about my options. Don't expect for her to get back with you until she is ready,(unless your pockets are fat) and then she will rush you off the phone. I was excited about our honeymoon and put down a deposit. My fiance lost her job and was out of work for three months. This put a lot of financial burden on us. We decided to book our own room at a local beach and cancel. She wanted us to stay with her and work something out, but I didn't feel helping us was on her mind and felt pressed as she ask me questions like are you going with another agent, ummmm no we have to pay for our own wedding and now we have hardly any funds. I just wanted a refund minus any penalty. Then she sends me an invoice so she could cancel our reservation. I already gave a hefty deposit its beyond me why she can't take out penalty from deposit. None of these policies were gone over or explianed when I booked this in the beginning. Then she says on the phone "I don't get paid unless you travel what am I going to get for all my hard work?" WOW really? This really made me upset and made my fiance Livid she called and of course could not get through and left some angry voice mails. She tried to throw these back in my face by sending them in attachments back at me in an email. If she explained all of this from the beginning all of this miscommunication could have been avoided. Whatever happened to customer service? This is money that I worked hard for and wanted to enjoy a honeymoon with my lady. She had no sympathy or understanding about my situation. then she doubled the penalty for cancellation after she got off the phone. She claimed I was rushing her off the phone, but I was at work at my Full Time Job and had to get back to it. At this point I am probably never going to see the significant deposit amount credited back to my card and now im stuck paying interest on a horrible experience. Buyer beware! She has no care except to fill her pockets.
