My appointment this morning was scheduled for 10AM, I arrived at 9:40 AM and the doors were locked…read more I phoned their message service and explained that I was standing outside and asked to be called back to reschedule. 9:50 AM I receive a call from secretary Linda with a very cold tone, first thing out of her voice was "your appointment was at 10AM and you showed up early." I responded by saying, "any reasonable adult arrives early to an appointment, especially with an attorney." I further explained that on Yelp their office hours show they open at 9AM. She quickly and flatly says, "We do not open at 9 (see pic attached for verification). I asked if I was at fault for missing this appointment because her tone was punitive. She continued to ask if I still wanted to reschedule in a frustrated manner. I said I would have to think about it at which time she hung up on me. Don Hayes may be a great attorney, in fact he may be the best in Santa Clarita, but few will ever know because the first impression is with secretary Linda, somebody with less than savvy phone skills. This is what should have happened if Linda was trained with any customer service values: "I apologize for the mix up, I can see how somebody can get the impression of our hours through Yelp! We treat all our meetings with the utmost importance; let's figure out a mutually agreeable time for your return. I know Don would love to meet with you." I will be taking my legal business elsewhere. This is for anybody who wishes to hear my opinion...

Linda- his secretary as well!! I was married for over 5 years, with my ex husband working for the County of Los Angeles. I honestly felt he looked out for my best interest not just as a lawyer trying to get the case over with. I have recommended him to several friends and family. I appreciated all his hard work, time, and patience with me!!! Thank you Don and Linda for everything!!

As what Heidi wrote in the business profile, divorce is often a long, drawn-out, and emotionally…read moredraining time. I wish she could have more empathy, professionalism for her clients. Unfortunately it's a very frustrating, stressful and devastating mediation process for my own experience and I could only give one star to Heidi on the following aspects: 1. We paid her $7500 for preparing the documents and drafting a settlement agreement. We were not able to reach to an settlement which is understandable. However, I would like to get a revisable version on the settlement agreement draft which we have already paid her work for so that my attorney doesn't have to start from scratch, she refused and claimed it's her product. If this request is against her interest, I understand. But I'm not her opposing party and we have already paid with her hourly rate then we own whatever product she produced in the interim. Thus this is unacceptable to me. 2. She has a very slow turnaround time and is very difficult to access. It took her almost 2 months to draft the settlement agreement. We then requested a video call or phone call with her as soon as possible to move forward and the availability she gave is almost 3 weeks later. While I understand she also serves other clients, needs to take time to be thorough on the settlement agreement, has her own life outside work, etc., I do wish she could move with more urgency and better accommodate clients' needs. During the divorce process, each party is very emotional and might change his mind all of a sudden so time is the essence. This is exactly what happened to my case where my husband changed his mind for the agreed terms while we were waiting for her settlement draft and then changed his mind to mediate again when we need to wait another 3 weeks to talk to her. After several months of being extremely mentally and physically exhausted and drained, we were not able to reach an agreement working with Heidi. It's going to another time consuming process in which our paid settlement agreement could have been of great help to speed up but Heidi declined to give us the doc. It's unfortunate that both of our attorneys need to start the case from scratch and we are going to suffer a lot mentally until the case is finalized.

It was an absolute nightmare. They pawned me off on some paralegal who would take days to call me back when I needed an update and didn't respond to emails. Eventually, after not contacting me for months, they called me out of the blue and tried to get me to settle for next to nothing. I almost caved, but figured it would be smart to at least get a second opinion. Instead of calling another billboard attorney I searched Google for best attorneys near me and came across The Cutting Law Firm. After the consultation with Devin Cutting, the differences were night and day. He was so thorough asking so many more questions than my first attorney. I was impressed and cautiously optimistic. I thought I found an attorney who would actually fight for me. Every time I sent him an email I got a reply the same day, usually within the hour! Instead being treated like a number and a burden, Devin makes you feel like a friend who actually cares about the outcome of your case. Within 90 days I got a settlement for six times the amount of the offer from the other attorney. If I could give the Cutting law firm 10 stars, I absolutely would.
