I like this place because you can chose the light version in each dish. The quality is perfect

We cashed in our Christmas voucher for a 3 course meal here at Prezzo. Then we soon found out they have a seperate downsized menu for us "promo people". I mean, it's fine I won't complain as it's free. The food was good and we didn't have to wait for a long time. The staff were polite and friendly. That big stone oven bang in the middle of the restaurant looks amazing and compliments their forte making pizza. This place is very classy. Definitely for your special occasions.

The Brasserie is a Ristorante Italiano è Classico è molto gustoso!…read more At least I think that's how you write it. The food, service and surroundings are high-quality here, so expect a high price too. Also its location in Village Square makes it very popular with tourists so make sure you book ahead, and if its a balmy summer's evening reserve a table outside to avoid disappointment - they're the prime seats for marina viewing. Although the pasta dishes looked very enticing, I went straight for the fish, Fresh Scallops with garlic and wine to start and Salmone Alla Crema (fresh salmon with cream and brandy sauce) as my main, accompanied by a side of fresh vegetables. Everything was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. The wine list consists of mainly Italian and French favourites but it's a varied compilation. We plumped for a classic Frascati to start and moved on to Valpolicella for our mains. It didn't come cheap, at around £45 per person all in, but it was an experience worth paying for.

Beautiful surroundings, lavishly furnished and lovely attentive staff. It is close to the Anchor office who sell expensive yachts, (where I was buying the two for Roger and I)!! Looks out over a great courtyard and people-watching area. We have used it for Specials with the Brighton family, and on our as a Romantc..lovely stuff! Could be seen as pricey, but you get what you pay for. It doesn't have to be expensive as Pasta & Pizza dishes are comparable to other eateries in the area!! The Meat/Fish mains are from £13 £28, ddpending on what you have. At present they are doing a Groupon deal ie £22.00p for two-course meal for two people. Get in there

So I'm going to try something a little different today…read more.. A live blog! Let's see how this place shapes up! Entrance and welcome: perfectly acceptable, polite and friendly. Drinks order taken swiftly. I wish I had known my only option was a giant bottle of sparkling water, would have been nice to have been told initially. Menu: expansive, typical of Italian cuisine. A little on the expensive side. The fish specials looked delicious but unfortunately the waiter could not confirm where the fish came from; I am currently on a sustainability kick and have decided only to eat fish if I can verify how and where it was caught, so I opted instead for a chicken dish. Main: oh how my hopes were raised upon the first mouthful of my dinner, but sadly the delightful flavour of the creamy mushroom and dolcelatte sauce was not to be continued throughout the rest of my meal. I'm saddened to report dry chicken and floppy veg, I can almost forgive the slightly overdone chicken (as it seems to be the done thing in restaurants at the moment) but I most certainly cannot forgive limp broccoli. The inventors of the concept of al dente should know better! Points for utterly impeccable potatoes however, dauphinois I believe. Feeling a bit disappointed after the main, I decided to go whole hog and get a dessert... Menu: very disappointing. I was hoping this meal would at least finish with bang, but judging by the menu I won't hold my breath. Dessert: opted for a pannacotta with butterscotch sauce, currently sitting waiting with bated breath. Despite the lack of atmosphere tonight (forgiven due to tonight being a Monday evening) I'm excited due to the anticipation! Sadly... I shouldn't have. I got a thick and grainy pannacotta with what tasted like shop bought butterscotch sauce. I'm devastated. Pannacotta should be light and silky, it should melt in the mouth and be a joy to eat. Unfortunately, although the flavour was pleasant enough I could never recommend this dessert at the price the restaurant is asking. Which leads me to my conclusion: I could easily have given one or two extra stars on my review tonight if the menu had not been as expensive as it was. For a few pounds less on everything, this would have easily got 3 or 4 stars. Value for money this ain't, but if you're looking for a restaurant that isn't a chain in the marina, you could do worse than coming here. Oh and one final point, the waiter hacking away in the distance is slightly disconcerting. I know illness can't be helped, but take those coughs into the bathroom or something!

I agree with the other reviewers in the sense that the food isn't going to blow you away, but you will leave having enjoyed a tasty, filling meal in nice surroundings. On my most recent visit I went for the veal Milanese - veal in breadcrumbs served with spaghetti Neapolitana and salad. A tasty dish and massive portions that will certainly leave you full. My friend went for a steak with pepper sauce that also looked tasty. Being quite full, but unable to resist the dessert menu entirely, we decided to share a banoffee pie which was yummy, as banoffee pie always is! On previous occasions I have had a number of their pasta, risotto and salad dishes, all of which I have been happy with. The Italian waiters are typically Italian, in that they can flirt like no other nation! Its so cliched but I fall for it every time and turn into a giggling school girl! What is it about the Italian accent that makes men instantly more attractive??

Buon Appetito - Not impressed with the amount of blackened ash which clearly shows the oven hasn't been cleaned for a while

Saying that, it was a good deal, any pasta or pizza for £3 plus £2.50 for a cheeky glass of wine (though disappointed with the amount of wine - maybe they should have put it into a smaller glass to make it look like more! It was a nice wine). On the bonus side, as well as being good value, they have friendly staff, and I was served my pizza really quickly. While there, a number of big groups came in and so it is clearly popular locally and the pizza (apart from the underneath) was tasty. Didn't really get the 'family' feel to it, which it proclaims on the outside. Overall, would recommend, particularly for a cheap lunch but they should definitely clean their oven!

After hearing good things about various branches of Italian chain restaurant Strada from friends, I…read morewas really looking forward to going here. I have to say though, I was just a little bit disappointed. True, we were in here a bit earlier than usual (about 5:30pm) and it was a bright, sunny afternoon, but the place seemed to lack any atmosphere. With a little mood lighting I'm sure it would look far better, but it just seemed a little bit bare and shabby. Luckily we were sat next to a window, so we had the lovely views of the Marina to look out on. The service wasn't great either considering how empty the restaurant was, we were sat down for well over 15 minutes before someone bought us a drinks menu. By the time they actually got round to taking our drinks order, we were ready to order food. The food service wasn't prompt either I would have understood if the restaurant was packed, but it there were only about eight tables full of people. For drinks, we ordered number two on the wine list: Le Vigne Soave which was £15.50 a bottle. It was a nice, easy drinking wine - very dry and extremely crisp (just the way I like it). It wasn't spectacular mind, but it was perfectly drinkable. So, onto the food. For my starter, I ordered the Polenta con Funghi and my boyfriend ordered the Insalata Toscana. Presentation-wise, the polenta was severely lacking. It tasted lovely and the mushroom sauce was gorgeous, but I couldn't help but think a little sprig of greenery wouldn't have gone amiss. As for the salad, it was far too much insalata and not nearly enough 'Toscana'. As a main, I opted for the Risotto Cappesante (Pan fried scallops on a risotto of leeks, pancetta, white wine, lemon zest, chilli & basil) which, I have to say, was absolutely delicious. Again though, it lacked any pretty presentation. Overall, Strada is at the upper end of chain Italian restaurants in terms of its food. They offer a choice of four different risottos, which is great for anyone with a wheat intolerance for whom Italian restaurants are normally a no-go. They also have a fair few antipasto dishes suitable for the gluten-intolerants. Great food at average prices (£50 for 2 two-course meals and a bottle of wine) but they lose points for slow service and lack of atmosphere. Oh, and the fact that they add an "optional" 10% service charge to the bill that my boyfriend was far too British to refuse.
