Was referred by a friend. It was a little out of way but well worth it. From the moment I walked in,knew was gonna be a good experience. Great staff very professional. Wish I would have know this place earlier. They took great care for my Ginger. Highly recommend.... BTW there's a Cracker Barrel in same lot. Just saying :)

This is a really really really long overdue post. I've been coming to ACC with my animals for 14…read moreyears. No matter how small the issue, my animals are always treated like family. One particular experience was when my cat Winston had a urinary blockage, which is deadly in male cats. He had to be hospitalized for 3 days before we could do surgery, which was all happening very fast, and during covid which made matters extremely hard. Once my cat was stable enough to have surgery Dr. Hallihan performed it after hours and released him to us well past 11pm. After transporting him to overnight care (he was in rough shape) he stayed a night there and we had him back home. Unfortunately he got an abscess under his stitches and had no choice but to rush him to an emergency clinic. We were being told the chances of him being able to survive a 3rd surgery should this one fail were slim. I spoke to Dr. Casulli and she treated me with the utmost respect even though my animal wasn't in her care. She made calls to see how he was doing, which she didn't have to do. They truly are the best, and they truly care. We get to see them all the time now because our man winston gets to get his urine checked every 6 months! (He hates us now but that's ok.) Aside from winston the care they have given our other animals, which are all under different accounts and different names within different households and they still no matter what know which animal goes to which household Thank you to all the doctors! Especially Dr. Casulli as she always gets the pleasure of getting my babies all healthy!

When we…read morefound out that we were going to be back in Rockaway, I reached out to Dr. Mini to see if she had any availability because Sierra was in desperate need of some dental care (immediately!) What I received was a quick response (via text) and I actually thought I was talking to a receptionist. What I didn't realize was that I was talking (texting) with Dr. Mini, herself, even though she was ON VACATION! She did an amazing job on Sierra's teeth and I would definitely recommend her (and even give her more stars if I could!!)

I stumbled on happy paws on google/facebook and I really wish another vet had an opening and was able to come to our home. From the second I spoke to Dr Mink I felt rushed. I initially called her around 12/1pm to ask if she had an opening and she did from 6-8pm that she can be here.. I tried to call her back to confirm but she said she was in a house call and she'll call me back.. call back never happened.. turned into just a text exchange confirming she can come between 6-8pm. When she got here at 6:30 all we wanted was 10 extra minutes with our girl.. she made it seem like I was asking for an hour and said she can give us 5 minutes as she has another appointment right after.. I already got annoyed at this comment right from the beginning. When she came in first thing she asked for was payment.. no asking of what our girls name was, how old she was, what was going on.. nothing.. zero sympathy.. went straight for payment and then straight to almost giving her the first shot to put our baby to sleep.. she then gave us maybe 5 minutes and went straight to shaving her paw and putting in the IV line.. After our girl was gone the Dr gave us zero information about cremation.. all I got was can you pickup her ashes in Clifton? That's it.. no name of the company nothing.. we were also in total shock still so even asking these questions then completely went over my mind. I had to text her the next day asking when we can pickup her ashes and when they will be ready.. all I got was an excuse saying she sent the information already but the text didn't go through so she will resend them. In the end we picked up our girls ashes and paw prints on Tuesday, all no thanks to the Dr, I called the cremation place myself and was told everything was ready for pickup. I just hope this review helps others.. we were going through one of the worst days with our girl and looking back at all the things that happened I really wish we went with someone else.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience…read more When my dog was in absolute dire need of medical attention, this veterinary clinic completely failed us. We brought him in scared and desperate as he could no longer walk with his hind legs, trusting that the professionals there would take his condition seriously. Instead, our concerns were dismissed, communication was poor, and there was no sense of urgency despite his worsening symptoms. We were given vague explanations and minimal guidance, and I felt like we had to push for every bit of information. There was no clear plan, no proactive follow-up, and no compassion during one of the most terrifying moments of our lives. By the time we realized how serious things truly were, it was too late. Our dog passed away shortly after. I can't say with certainty that the outcome would have been different, but I do know we did not receive the level of care, attention, or urgency that any pet -- or family -- deserves. Losing a pet is heartbreaking on its own. Feeling unheard and unsupported by the very people you turn to for help makes it even worse. I sincerely hope this clinic reevaluates how they handle emergency cases and how they communicate with worried pet owners, because no one should have to go through what we did. To add insult to injury, we notified them our dog passed and never received a call from our longtime vet, Dr Ray. We did get a call from the office 2 weeks after his passing to confirm his upcoming appointment though. Unbelievable!
